To be fair this pizzagate only recently became popular recently after the meltdown of election. The New York Times apologies allow alternate media to sieze the momentum to be heard. Pizzagate just turn out to be one of the article that was floating around in the alternate media. The creepy pictures or creepy emails are not the precursor. Even though the email is claim back in 2008. Supposedly, this pizzagate crap really either starts with Andrew Brietbart death in 2011 or Nancy Schaefer death in 2010. It's been around for sometime. Most media and us MAL user at the time, don't know that or care. It was way back in 2008. Sh*t I was just entering senior year from highschool. lol My assumption is that conspiracy theorist kickstart with these folks death and work their way to what we have now. But eh whatever. After checking statistically that is true but it should also be good to note only 2 cases in the past 3 years are even roughly in the age group that this conspiracy seems to be proposing and in those 2 specific cases they're both over an hour drive from DC in completely different directions which would be tough to call "general area." In addition since almost all of the cases are teenagers usually ranging around the age of 16-17 statistically most of them would be runaways or missing as a result of a close family member/friend. So it would be a valid question of why do so many teenagers go missing around this area, but I would be hard pressed to connect it to any specific case. |

Disagreed. Time after time, he relies on intuition with little details. Intuition subjugate the evidence from a crime scene to see how it will react, shaped, and form. He only use information evidence to support his theory. If the evidence useless he disregard it. Again depends which Sherlock though. In this case I was mostly refer to BBC Sherlock portrayed Cumberbatch. The one in the novel maybe more leaning towards what you are saying though. But overall he use intuition a lot. Which many conspiracy theorist all shared the similarity. Again I am not a believer of pizzagate. The birth of internet allows us to change and shape scenes, context, and narrative with ease. I'm disappointed because I thought you were pointing out how a rational and logical thinker such as Sherlock Holmes would never make such a ridiculous theory based on no witnesses, no evidence and no crime, I haven't seen the BBC Sherlock but I've read the books and I can tell you now that the character always made it clear that the facts are always what matter. In fact one of his most important quotes are. "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." That might be the most important thing which the people here consistently fail to do, because they will do anything to find even the smallest most ridiculous hint to suit a theory rather than observe what is and make a solid case. Anyway I'm not really interested in arguing what techniques a fictional character uses. |

| Even if you believe the whole pizzagate thing, the "pizza" is used as a "codeword" and the earliest leaked e-mail about it, as far as I know, was from 2009 and in it was said that these "pizzas" where flown in from Chicago. There is no proof, as far as I know, that an actual pizzeria is used and neither is there any proof that such a supposed "source of pizzas" is within Washington D.C. And since the e-mail was from 2009 we don't even know if the "source of pizzas" that supposedly exists in Chicago, whether it's just good old normal pizza, or "something else", is still there or not. So yea, the person who "investigated" this restaurant here really doesn't know what he is doing. Aside from the fact that he also broke the law, of course, for which he should be punished as the law demands. |
