Well, as what most people feel like right now
I really am not expecting there will be a sequel
I've been waiting since 6 years ago (I had just known and finished the anime in 2010), though at that time I thought that it is ridiculous. Lelouch is dead. The ending is epic as hell even though I can't get over with Lelouch's death. This anime does not necessarily need another sequel.
And all of a sudden this. happens.

Leaving my thoughts behind,
I'm at my highest euphoria right now! I'm glad that Lelouch is back. I'm glad that suddenly I get back those feeling and sensation and whatever it is that can't be described by words again. Those feelings that I only get when I watch CG for the first time.
Nevermind what the story will be later. I know they are doing their best. I know they are doing this for the sake of the fans. Nevermind those who aren't going to watch this sequel.
Let us support those who make this miracle happens //w//

Can't think straightly how the hell Lelouch could be alive.
Nevermind it, I'm at my highest euphoria right now.
Lelouch is *going to* back.
I will just accept the theories until the anime itself released.

Suzaku either somehow stabbed him in a way where he avoided his vital organs, or he somehow had his consciousness transferred to another dimension / afterlife/ geass hax, and can come back that way.

Lelouch got the Code from Charles because he killed Charles with his Geass. Remember how he was supposed to kill C.C. with his Geass and inherit her Code to set her free? He killed Charles instead and ended up both the Code from Charles and kept the Geass from C.C.(that's why the show is called Code Geass).

When Suzuaku stabbed him, he died, yeah. But then the Code resurrected him later on, and he is now cursed to live forever just like C.C. Lelouch was obviously the guy driving the cart at the end of the show, people just didn't want to admit it. Why would they purposely hide the face of a random cart driver? Because they wanted to leave everyone in suspense. The resurrection they are referring to is metaphorical, as in, Lelouch is finally going to appear in the world again. He was already "resurrected" at the end of S2.

I mean it was in the title. Lelouch is the only one ever to achieve Code Geass. You obtain a code by manifesting the final stage of Geass and ending the life of a code wielder, thus losing the Geass you acquired from the code wielder. Lelouch is the first individual known to kill a code wielder that didn't give him his code. By ordering God to kill Charles he is able to obtain the code. Since he didn't take CC's code he didn't lose his Geass. This way Lelouch has obtained Code Geass. Also I know that some writers for Code Geass said Lelouch was dead but those are the people who said Nunnally was dead too ;)

Lol I said the same exact thing a minute after you did. The most important thing about his resurrection is probably the ending scene from episode 2 of R2.

The resurrection of Zero will be necessary as long as the strong oppress the weak. To quote Diethard "ZERO I knew you were still alive!"

Yeah, but Suzaku took on the role of Zero. A very select few even knew about this. As far as the world is concerned, Zero never left.

Now a Code Geass sequel

this is like a dream come true. Anime is saved. Don't care if they "ruin" the R2 ending, more is always good.

Lelouch is still dead the title even implies it. He would be resurrected/revived.
So Sunrise would milk you all and give your moneys to them.
This is just another cash grab from Sunrise studio.

People were too braindead to accept the truth. They prefer to be sheeple who blindly listen to 'author comments' without applying critical thinking of their own. These same people are now saying that it ruins the ending of R2 even though it clearly doesn't.
Yoshii Kiria took over as leader of Fairytale and rebuilt it and became one of Tsukunes formidable enemies but let's save that story for another time

Hehe, let me introduce him to you again, kid. This is Shuzen Issa (who is MIA during the final battle), who will become your 'trainer' starting today. You still have much to go if you want to become the headmaster.

I just hope it wont mess the story up or R2 ending would had been better untouched.

People are joking about this, but it's not actually that stupid. The cart driver scene is obviously fake, and gained popularity only due to wishfull thinking. Yet, Lelouch's physical body might have perished, but his consciousness surviving has always been a thing. The hints, the paper cranes, and both Lelouch and CC's relationship and contract strongly suggest they kept in touch even after his death.

Yes, but that's a remake of a series. That is perfectly fine since it gives a different version of the same material. Plus it is able to differentiate itself from 2003 FMA enough to warrant it's assistance. This, however, is a sequel to a series that clearly ended its run. Plus, there were people craving to see a faithful adaptation of the FMA manga, and I pretty sure no one really wanted to see a sequel of Code Geass
