| I don't really have an ideal, but if I think they're funny it's already a good start. Generally, what I like to see in MCs is a struggle. I don't want badass characters that can do things easily, but I don't want MCs that are unable to do anything either. I want something inbetween. With MCs like Kaiji you really don't know if he's gonna win or not. Anything could happen. And that sorta thing fascinates me. |

Well it really depends on what point of the series you look at him. I mean he had his "evil overlord" moments, but he did sacrifice himself for the sake of world peace at the end. I guess it also depends on whether you look at his motivation or actions/results. Like he had selfish reasons, but he did lead a rebellion against a tyrannical empire that was taking over the world. |

People say things like "those people he killed were evil", but that's Light Yagami logic. People say "it's okay because we're at war", but I'm not sure that makes it any better either. |
