My ideal MCs are the villain types. So tired of all these nice guys.

Example: Griffith, Johan Liebert, Light Yagami, Makishima Shougo, Hisoka, etc.

^ I like you

You forgot Le Louch ;)

Well Le Douche isn't a villain.
He's close to anti-hero than a villain

I don't really have an ideal, but if I think they're funny it's already a good start. Generally, what I like to see in MCs is a struggle. I don't want badass characters that can do things easily, but I don't want MCs that are unable to do anything either. I want something inbetween. With MCs like Kaiji you really don't know if he's gonna win or not. Anything could happen. And that sorta thing fascinates me.

Really? I thought he was totally closer to a villain than anything else.

Well it really depends on what point of the series you look at him. I mean he had his "evil overlord" moments, but he did sacrifice himself for the sake of world peace at the end.
I guess it also depends on whether you look at his motivation or actions/results. Like he had selfish reasons, but he did lead a rebellion against a tyrannical empire that was taking over the world.

I think it's a matter of "does the end justify the means?" He took many lives, and you gotta ask yourself "does the peaceful end he brought about make those murders he committed okay"? It's debatable really. People say things like "those people he killed were evil", but that's Light Yagami logic. People say "it's okay because we're at war", but I'm not sure that makes it any better either.

An MC that's calm, lazy, avoids fights he can't win and isn't a winny lil bitch and would sometimes do anything to save his ass. Basically the opposite of most shounen MCs

Curious is the case of man.
He runs towards the world he can never catch, and runs away from death he can never escape.

I don't mind knowing that the character is going to win. What I want to see is the struggle to win. It's more interesting.

Lelouch+Adam Blade+Alucard=MC to end all MCs

Basically someone who's intelligent,arrogant,extremely powerful,hammy,and loves fighting[optional:perverted]

In fact i want an anime where the MC is the evil overlord trying to rule the world with his harem also being his elite agents/bodyguards/generals.And the "villain"is your typical shounen hero trying to stop him in a futile effort.
The peasant is bound by the king. The king is bound by the peasants and their kingdom. But the Viking is bound to nothing but themselves.

I think you'd like Dark Schneider from Bastard!! He fits that description quite nicely :)
