If he was a really great brother then why did he get Sasuke started on his path of hatred. Can someone explain why he told him to get more hate? First, it's funny you posted this question here since both Sasuke and Itachi weren't featured here HAHA I also never finished watching it before and I've been wondering the same thing. From what I can piece together up until this point, Itachi was trying to get Sasuke strong, because he wanted him to redeem the Uchiha name and pride. He can do that by becoming strong enough to kill the one who destroyed the entire clan. He wanted to get Sasuke to activate the Mangekyo Sharingan, which can only be done by witnessing the death of one close to him. By getting Sasuke to hate him, he achieves 2 things. 1 - Sasuke blames him for the clan massacre. He wants Sasuke to hate him instead of Konoha. 2 - Sasuke will definitely come looking to kill him. If and when that happens, he gets his Mangekyo Sharingan. These are my thoughts on it. I don't know if I got it right. But it's consistent with his character who loves Sasuke and Konoha. I really hope Sasuke gets to meet reanimated Itachi before Kabuto fully mind controls him. |

| Naruto beat Raikage's top speed! Also since Naruto's stepping into the battlefield, he'll eliminate the white zetsu's easily. Both Bee and Naruto get the clearance for joining the war. Tobi/Madara is using the dead Jinchuriki as his 'Pains'?!? Wtf |
