Plan on watching Naruto after I get caught up on bleach, I may have to use this because I get bored with filler sometimes.

I usually put up with fillers by watching on the side while I do something that doesn't require too much attention, but these fillers are just way too much.

Thank you for this thread.

Then clearly you misunderstand the definition of 'filler'.

This is such an excellent thread, thanks for saving me a lot of time and frustration.

I suppose I really shouldn't have been surprised that after forgetting about this series for the last 40 episodes, I only have 10 real episodes to catch up on.

That's why I watch all the fillers the first time through so I can skip the ones I think are bad or just whatever ones when I rewatch.

Can I make some recommendations? Watch the Utakata fillers because they are referenced later on in the anime. Also, I'd advise you to watch Kakashi Gaiden as soon as you complete the original Naruto anime, because that way it follows the order of the manga.

Weather it has a little filler or lots of padding, as long it has manga material in it, it should not be skipped.

yes 271 is filler, but its like a special tied into the movie. Its so damn good that its hardly worth skipping. Got to love that fan service and the alternate personalities :D

Though to keep this list more consistent, it should not be included, your right.

Actually 324 includes material from chapter 564 and 327 has important material related to chapter 569, so no, they should not be skipped. Even though its subtle, its still material from the manga.

This list is actually very accurate and the guy that did this does not even watch shippuuden hardly, just helping out the community and the naruto fanbase.

very useful, thank you! i want to watch Shippuuden from the start again since i kinda stopped for a long time (got sick of fillers and the 10+ episodes of orochimaru at the bridge lol) so i can hardly remember some things.

i was wondering if someone could tell me roughly what those fillers are about? (arc name or something) the current filler about Kakashi is really interesting and relevant to the story (in my opinion), i definitely don't want to skip that in the future!
You can use the episode guide. They have summaries for each episode. It would take a lot of time for someone to write about like all 200 something fillers, while most are in arcs, there's quite a few standalones.

I had a feeling alot of people would definitly comment on this, but regardless, filler is still filler and that is what this guide is aimed towards. If i was the OP i would place a little note that this arc has lots of relevance to character developing and the story and even adds new original material, not shown in the manga.

Personally i wouldn't even consider it filler since im very positive that Kishimoto had some involvement in this arc. If kishimoto is the one behind it and has been involved or wrote it, that can you really call that filler? But as far now, their is no legitimate information in regards to that.

This guide is engineered for what is in the manga. Anything that isn't in the manga is trash, doesn't matter how good it is even if Kishimoto wrote it IMO. I made this guide for the ppl that just want to watch the main story that came from the manga. Unless Kakashi arc is magically in the manga then I see no reason to add it or even add a note. Meant trash in the nicest way possible lol

Its like Strong World or Z in One Piece both we're fill spin off movies/specials written by Oda. Still filler.

It is classified as filler as none of it happened in the manga. It's your choice whether to watch it, this guide is just meant to point out the things you do not have to watch. I myself enjoy some of the fillers.

If your worried bout watching every part of canon material so yu don't miss a thing, then watch episodes 141, 142 and 220. All of which chronologically connect each other but very subtly, just don't focus on the filler part of the episodes which our pretty obvious.

I bookmarked this thread on my browser m8. As an episode 1 naruto fan I think you've done an amazing thing here. to pick the fillers out of 350 episdes... You're awesome all there is too it thank you. I've rewatched this show a couple times over the years with guesswork skipping. Your thread provided a clear solution and for the first time ever I feel like I'm enjoying this show the way it was meant to be.
