| If only Kongou was that easy to kill in the game. Ridou and squad 1 with a great entrance. I actually like MC pretty well now that his voice seem serious. Was afraid they gonna give him a energetic male voice. If this does well I would love to see they Animate GE2. Would love to see Livie Collete in action. |

| Isn't souma suppose to be the main character? Its been a while since I played the game. Also watching this makes it feel like I'm watching a in game cut scene need some getting use to. |

I've seen so many posts claiming that God Eater was going to carry this anime season due to Ufotable and therefor its unavoidable connection with Fate in the eyes of the uninitiated. I fully expected another big hitter with the casual audience, especially with it being associated with Fate by proxy. And I also think people bringing up Fate is stupid, but you must realize that it is unavoidable. Like I said though, I am pleasantly surprised that this run-of-the-mill generic shounen isn't going to fly even with the casual audience. |

| The animation really sucks for me... Here I thought that the animation was going to be similar as Fate UBW(haters or not you got to admit it was awesome). Ufotable using those shitty CGI monsters is unthinkable and the characters seemed a little lifeless and stiff. |
| That was a decent first episode. The visuals and the animation looks pretty okay I suppose. The characters and the OST seems promising, though I'm not sure about the plot as it starts pretty slow for my liking. Hoping that the next episode would be better I guess. |

| For those who said it was FULL CG, you're wrong, the characters is DEFINITELY not CG, the Aragamis are made from CG but the characters looks shiny and all because of the lighting and shadows, I saw some H anime uses this kind of style and it definitely not CG. If you watch God Eater 2 opening (game) you can see that they took they character design style based on that opening Also for Lenka he is kinda exceed my expectations. I thought he was just another Naruto or any other hot headed shounen protagonist that only now to charged in a battle. But he seem to have some coolness and calm in him at time and he doesn't acting hot headed all the time |
| Story wasn't the strong point of God Eater so don't expect much. Generic MC? He was nameless and a silent protagonist in the game like Yuu Narukami from Persona 4, what do you expect? Infact, we can completely customize his appearance so everything about him depend on the player, he obviously won't have any backstory. I don't know why Ufo decided to adapt this series but I think they can turn an average series into a great one. I am dissapointed we didn't get to see the God Arc eat the Aragami, well we will probably it see next episode since I doubt the MC will kill it without devouring it. |

| I actually really like this art style, its different and unique, but the animation in some parts wasn't that great so it does take away from it a bit. As well as that, I feel like they aren't incorporating their soundtrack to the best of their ability. Like there were some scenes where it was either too silent or the music that was playing wasn't loud enough. The music itself though is really good and fits this series really well. It definitely has an SnK feel, but I'm gonna try and ignore that and separate it from the series and watch it as its own show. The way they do their preview is really interesting, how they just have text and voice overs, which i find more intriguing than seeing actual scenes. The opening seems pretty cool but not really anything that special. Either way, I haven't played the game and people have told me it's a good one, so I guess I'm pretty happy to continue this for a few more episodes. |

| Yep having a feeling this is gonna turn out like shit,just as i thought the stories never really seemed to be GE strong point so wasn't really expecting much (still didn't reach Chaos Dragon level of bad for the season). People really bringing up Fate again huh... i missed the days when i only knew about ufotable from the tales games. animation is quite jarring to look at but i said it before it looks great when nothings moving and the over use of slow mo jesus |

| I like the art syle. It's kinda lineless and semi-painting rather than usual hard cell-shaded anime style. Animation? As always ufotable doesn't disappoint. Lenka is one of capable MC, but I'm sure he has problem on his own. The story is alright, although the premise is overused, well nothing really stands out though. |

| Funny, people complaining and comparing God Eater to SnK and Owari when God Eater was released before both, it's the same as compare God Eater with Ergo Proxy. I'm not surprised though because half of the MAL community follows only the trainwreck in all seasons and says it's good and says the other series are shit/rip-offs, don't even get me started with such wastes like Akame ga Kill and Aldnoah.Zero on this. @topic: Using the 3 episodes rule, nothing to say atm. Story-wise, there's actually not much to the game until the part where the Dyaus Pita appears. Even then, the entire game's story isn't exactly A-class material. The game focuses more on gameplay rather than story so the story is pretty generic. Story begins once Aegis Island is mentioned and they'll go into the main cast's backgrounds judging from the opening. As for the main character, he was a silent protagonist so.... I have no idea whether ufotable will make him bland or actually give him a personality and backstory. |

| Great first episode, the focus was on the protagonist, Lenka seems to have a strong personality, I like protagonists thus, even so, it's a little hard to forget the image of Yuu as protagonist I liked the animation style, some good action scenes were shown, I hope to see more battles and even more action scenes, I am also curious about the development of the plot, but for now I'm looking forward to the next episodes .. |

I have to ask, what's so generic? Why is it always, and I mean ALWAYS the exact same users posting these comments? Anyway, art style is going to take some getting used 2 and the slowing down was weird but besides that, not to bad for a first episode. |

| Meeeh. Definitely hoped for less generic, but lets hope it gets better. CGI-Monsters - what a horrendous idea :/ Double H-Sized booby-senpai completely ruined the tone the show was going for, lol. The animation of the characters looks like Shinkai Makoto-style, just worse. Something about their texture that makes them feel inorganic with the backgrounds. Those backgrounds and scene-transitions though. Eye candy! |

| I pretty much liked it. The animation was unusual but that's what kept me staring at my screen the entire time. The beginning was pretty slow though, and the episode ended with a cliffie to keep viewers hooked. I'd say it's 'okay' plot-wise. Hoping something new is brought to the table soon because I've been hearing from others that it's getting a lot of Owari no Seraph... SNK-esque settings from this show and it has only been one episode. |

| I liked the fact that the opening scene is the same in the game where you enter the training room and obtain the weapon. No complaints about the animation, though I do hope they speed it up in later episodes. I'm not going to expect much from the story. The New-Type God Arc Transformation was one thing I was waiting for, but if there's one aspect from the game that I'm going to be critical about: They better make the "God Eating" look good. Don't screw this up ufotable! |

| Animation made me dizzy and the CGI monsters looked like robots. I did like the characters though. Won't drop it cause it does seem interesting and different than anything else i'm watching this season. Let's just hope my eyes get used to the animation though |

| Since this is a prequel to Gods Eater Burst, I'm enjoying seeing the characters from the game again! I'm really interested in seeing how this story plays out and how it will lead into the start of the game itself. I don't usually pay too much attention to the art style, but I like the look of the anime and how it looks like a video game. Can't wait for the next episode! |

| Honestly, I would watch a show for ufo rain. Seeing the "camera" work does kinda annoy me because I wonder what it would've been like if the paradox spiral guy did fate. The only reason ufotable touched fate is because they did an experimental, high quality project on kara no kyoukai and it went relatively successfully. People say it is good ufo is no longer type moon's bitch but type moon kinda needs a bitch. |

| Lenka and Kota seem like a good combo. Well, let's see. This anime has refreshing visuals and splendid OST. Lindow, Soma, and Sakuya join the cast. Hopefully, the characters will become more developed. |
