Oh man oh man what ironic poetic justice.

Mike Montgomery just shut out the team he bombed on as a rookie, was part of the Will Myers-James Shields trade, got exchanged for Erasmo Ramirez, then proceeds to shut out the best team in baseball on 4 hits.

As the president of the Mike Montgomery fan club, I ask you, Jack Z please start trading for more broken prospects. You just got the Dellevadova of the MLB on your team. #CaliJesus

another wasted effort by Bumgarner. We've pretty much dominated the dodgers this year but can't seem to handle the pods. Baseball is a weird game

lol Max Scherzer got robbed of a perfect game with 1 out left and 1 strike left because the last batter leaned into a pitch to get hit. He still got a no hitter but what a douche

I don't understand the hate directed at the batter. What he did was legal, is he meant to just give the Max a perfect game or what? If he can't earn it, he doesn't deserve it.

i personally don't care but ya National fans are salty as hell

Went to Kershaw's 13 K CG Shutout on Wednesday night. Finally got to see him do his good stuff after getting bombed by the Rangers. Then again, he did it vs. the Phillies, what else to expect.

Who do you all think deserve the final vote for the ASG? I think Brian Dozier for the AL and Clayton Kershaw for the NL.

Hoped Joc would win the HR Derby but it was nice to see Frazier win it in front of the home crowd in Cincinnati.

Wonder who the Franchise 4 for each team will be. This is probably one of the most exciting ASG breaks yet imo

It hasn't been too bad, just that frustrating bullpen and lots of silly errors. Still quite a few shutouts and lots of runs scored so there's hope, I think.

Although apparently Scott Kazmir might be traded. If so then they're building for next season.

tbh I think the A's are in for a 2nd half comeback and even finish above the Astros. Angels will take the AL West, sadly. They just too good.

The Mariners? We need another bat and better relievers and I think we're good again. I think we'll still get 4th though. The Rangers will get last, aside from that one hot stretch, this team really does have pitching problems and it shows for a lot of their games nowadays.

Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke are just unstoppable at this point, goodness. Wonder if that alone will get the Dodgers to the Series assuming they're not playing the Cards.

Scott Kazmir to the Stros was not a surprise to me at all. Now I think they're building a legitimate contender for years to come down in Houston.

Yeah, seems like the Dodgers are putting their shit together this year.
Quite the duo they have, but I'm sure they will be looking to add into their rotation... wonder what starting pitchers will be out there in trades.

Impressed with how the Jays managed to recover despite that weak Hutchison start and the ump being a massive cunt with all those pitches on the edge of the strikezone being called as balls.

Dodgers have had to do some shuffling while Greinke's on paternity leave. It was the pitcher's major league debut. Gave up seven runs in four and two-thirds innings.. Poor guy.

Also the Jays were robbed today because of a botched foul ball call. What a load crock. Doubront not keeping it together didn't help either.

One game out of 1st place. Its good to see Duda returning to early season form for the last couple of games. We still need to make a few tweaks, but I'm fine with waiting until the very last second to do so.

On another note, as a Clippers fan, please stop having Clippers night at Dodger Stadium. Its clear the Dodgers and Lakers fanbase overlaps, and its pointless to send players there that are just going to get heavily booed.

Yeah nice additions for Toronto.

Glad the Mets backed out last night. Was not interested in a pitcher coming from Tommy John surgery no matter the upside... the risk is there too. Houston offered some nice prospects to get Gomez, years away from coming to the majors but it seems like a good haul.

The Jays are really risking a lot since they are ~ 7 games back? and 3rd in their division. Barely clinging on to .500 ball lol

Not exactly sure if Price and Tulo will suddenly make them a playoff contending team let alone a World Series contending team.

Good times with just baseball on TV! Cards walked off on balls and the Astros on a 3-run homer shortly after. Still my favorite sport to watch!

Still a bit more time until the deadline too. Way too many moves to keep track of. Price back in the AL East and I never would've thought Tulo and Hamels would ever leave their respective teams.

They'd really need to be consistent on the field. I feel like I've seen the Jays get too many big names and never even threaten whoever's in first at the end of the year.

Better yet why risk the farm and a top prospect for a could-be rental? If these trades don't get the Jays in the playoffs, I'd fire their GM in all honesty.

Alex Anthopolous's seat is just getting hotter and hotter that if this backfires, I wonder if a fire sale is next.

Yikes. The Jays are getting a shitton of guys but this is basically asking a .500 team to reach a major tall order while sacrificing their future in the process.

Yea his job is in jeopardy and he knows it. These moves scream desperation and are quite similar to what Bryan Colangelo did with the raps just before he got axed. Toronto's biggest problem is that we are suckers for false hope and Alex has been especially good at feeding us that. If we dont make the post season this year, expect him to be gone.

Jays are A LOT better than their record indicates. Their run differential is ungodly. Just bad luck so far this season and a lot of close losses. I think that they'll end up grabbing the second WC spot with these moves. They have to go all-in before Bautista leaves. Of course, I'm saying this as an outsider who has nothing invested in the team and who just wants to see big names out on the field.

Good points, they looked clutch today, spoiling Cueto's debut with the Royals. Maybe if they can start winning more games like these you could have a point. In the end, the 2nd Wild Card will be the one that determines it all. Doubt the Twins even make the playoffs this year.
