The pace of this show its OK, but nothing atractive to me on this, I can see where the romance is going and most of us knows hows gonna be the posible pairings. Kinda Meh, Im staying untill I see where this is going.

Also thats JCStaff studios for you with the animation. Really nice.

I totally liked this episode, and it’s much better than the first one since the pacing is perfect. The relationships are not there yet, but this episode is slow and relaxing in a good way until we wait for the characters feel ready for it. Fumi is very cute.

It was an alright episode. I loved the artwork as usual. I'm not a big fan of yuri animes, but this is somewhat good. I hope I won't have to drop this one.

Horie Yui's character is very lady-like/adult-like, unlike other characters she did.

I agree! I wondered for a minute if this was Minorin and thought, "Wow, she really can pull off a non-energetic, non-cute, grown-up voice!"

Anyway, nice episode again. I agree with a lot of what tehnominator is saying. I really don't think that there are many lesbians in this anime. I only think there is one, to be honest, and that's Fumi.

I'm with stupid.

I'm MUCH more into this episode than I was the first one. So much surprised me.

I agree and this kind of bothers me about the series. I hope some of the characters are straight and I'd like to see a male or two other than just the brother. lol.

Seems like I'll have to give another tl;dr rant of an explanation here.

They are not implying that all girls who go to girls' schools swing that way at all. In fact, let us use our fingers to count.

How many girls swing "that way" as of episode two?

1. Fumi
2. Kyouko
3. Yasuko...?

Hoo boy, three out of like five hundred girls, I'm sure.

The series is focussed on the life of a lesbian school girl. So it'd make sense that most of the people she'd form important bonds with are people like herself or people who are sympathetic to that.

Just because the girls seem extra friendly with one another is not an implication of sexuality. It's admiration, it's sisterhood, it's friendliness. I don't know why when people see two women together in anime, people assume something about them.

It's a matter of culture. In Japan, in those girls' schools, it's not uncommon for girls to be that friendly with one another or to even look like they have crushes on other girls. They call that Class S relationships, in which it isn't sexual but it's romantic. You can be romantic with someone and not sexually or emotionally desire them or want them to be your girlfriend.

In the West, for some reason, we crudely like to ignore the varying feelings people have for one another. So if a boy likes to hold hands with another one of his guy friends because he feels comfortable or he loves him, we immediately call them fags and proceed to terrorise them. Or we assume they're in a relationship. Which is why guys can't hold one another's hands EVER even if they're just friends.

With girls, you see that there is an ease and comfort amongst them.

Most of you who are commenting on how gay everything seems to be have all turned out to be:

1. guys
2. young
3. people who don't know any homosexuals in real life
4. people who have never went to/do not know a thing about girls' schools outside of anime and possibly pornography

So as someone who has gone to one, let me make it clear: that is quite normal. In fact, we got a lot of people assuming the girls are lesbians from girls' schools simply because we hang off of one another, or hug one another openly and give each other chocolates for Valentine's Day. It's very normal to see the girls screaming and fangirling over the sporty girls during practice.

And as for those who engaged in same-sex relationships, they tended to gravitate to one another. Most of my friends were bisexuals, for example, and I noticed that every other new friend we made turned out to be bisexual or experimented with girls at some point. It's a matter of attraction, and people with similar sexual orientations tend to attract those like themselves. Sort of like how all the promiscuous girls tend to be friends with other promiscuous girls--they like sex and they gravitated to one another because they had that in common.

It's not like they said, "Let's look for all bisexuals!" or "Let's form a Promiscuous Girl Club!" No. Like in nature, how animals tend to herd together, in society, people unconsciously group together as well.

So Fumi meeting Yasuko and by extension Kyouko who are also girls who like other girls is not contrived. It is in fact so normal, I couldn't even be bothered with paying it any attention. Until you folks brought it up as a "problem".

I don't understand your logic. Would you have watched an anime like Clannad or Toradora and say, "Man, I wish some of the characters were gay." You wouldn't. Why do that here?

I would do, that, though. I feel that both heterosexuality and homosexuality should be represented equally in every type of series, not just in anime. :) That's my personal preference. I don't expect anyone to agree or disagree with me.

The sex-scene appears like a flash-back, when Ah-chan sleeps over at Fumi-chans place.^^

Thought it was hilarious, when Fumi-chan should join the basketball club!!XD HAHA!! That's just so not her^^!!XD I'm really looking forward to see her play it XD
I really like the flow of this anime too^^

How can you say this was boring? It was obvious from the first episode that Fumi-chan really liked her cousin. And we found out that Chizuru took that oh so sweet lesbian cherry of Fumi's. Chizu was fumi's first so it makes sense that she is in love with her. But of course its one sided and forbidden so it was never ment to be. This was what the main point of this episode. It's cute how Fumi is so shy and cries all the time. See a little bit of myself in Fumi chan (not in 'that' sense btw).

Fumi's broken heart, i really feel for her. I know A-chan will mend it perfectly, all that I cant' wait for is the roller coaster ride between to long lost lovers.

"What happens when we die?" I know that the ones who love us will miss us.

O how Hourou Musuko-like

I think I'm getting diabetes

I love this calm atmosphere

Looks like I was wrong to see J.C.Staff in a bad light just because their most popular works are given much attention even though they're garbage

They CAN do some things right

The simplistic watercolour backgrounds and designs really complement the realistic, quiet ambience. I needed this after watching WataMote with all its shenanigans and Planetes with all its annoying shouting and shit.

So that WAS a sex scene and it WAS real. No wonder. I thought Fumi was just immensely attached to her cousin, but I guess there was something else going on before. Nice to know that even that flashback was a very subtle one. This is living up to my expectations so far (unlike Planetes).

about that so called 'sex scene' (actually, more like a flashback of a truly happened scene) - i DO have a theory why people say that it's disturbing (or strange or whatever)!
...because Fumi is so easy to cry. seems like she's really vulnerable, emotionally. i've only watched 2 episodes so far and not knowing the full plot and stuff, i could easily think that Fumi was vulnerable in that previous relationship too. not being abused, but she's been dependent on Chizu in a certain way. her flashback is not like fluffy positiveness in pink, and it rather looks like a tiny painful pinch.

this episode is... not bad. but a bit strange, yes. one word is in my mind after watching: TRIGGER.
triggers everywhere, Fumi's being triggered almost by everything. and amnesia + calm atmosphere that reminds me of subconscious defense mechanism. huh.

A-chan is winning me over, she's so playfully adorable. I really like how this series is doing more showing than telling, such as with the implied sexual relationship between Fumi and Chizu. The way that scene transitioned from A-chan's hand to Chizu's in silky sheets was well done and conveyed what was going on right away.

I'm very interested in that 3rd year as well as the relationship between her and Ikumi. Also it seems like this author loves plays and the drama club because that was a huge focus in Hourou Musuko as well. It works though, it gives a poetic and romantic atmosphere.

OMG no no no
This is gonna be one of those anime where everyone is in love with someone else (and most of the time the wrong person)
"I lost all of what you could call feelings of love. They weren't sealed, so they can't be released. They weren't broken, so they can't be fixed. That which is lost, cannot be recovered." Shiba Tatsuya
"There are no regrets. If one can be proud of one's life, one should not wish for another chance." Saber
"No matter what happens, no matter how crazy things get, I'll always try to restore balance." Korra
"It's madness to let others take what's yours and accept it blindly." Baatar Jr
"Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong." Zaheer
"Partner in crime, partner in time" Chloe Price and Max Caulfield

So the implications of Fumi's vision in bed are pretty unsettling, if it's actually a flashback. Their exact ages at the time are unclear to me, but Chizu can go to hell anyways. With that in mind, the scene was really well done, and it wasn't too on-the-nose either.

I definitely liked this episode more than the first one, Acchan is more supportive of Fumi now, seeing as she made a deliberate effort to console Fumi. The only thing that's giving me trouble is that the other students are a little too similar, hopefully I'll be able to tell Acchan's school friends apart later.

Fumi is starting to think what Akira likes, hm?.. A pretty important thing.. To learn about someone, if you're interested in them..
I like piano music in the background.. At around 05:57, a bit earlier..
So.. Did cousin had some sexual touches and plays with Fumi and stuff?.. It's hard to say, whether it was Fumi's memory, or Fumi's phantasy.. Cousin definitely touched her hand in the first episode, though.. It'd make cousin indeed cruel, if she was doing stuff with Fumi, also having a husband..
Looks like things for Ikumi Kyouko didn't go well..

I can't feel sorry for Fumi, tbh. She went and missed her cousin's wedding, which is often -not all the time tho- the best day of peoples lives. I understand she's hurting from the engagement and some previous incidents with Chizu, which we have yet to fully uncover, but she should have still made an effort to attend. Oh well.

Why do I get the feeling that Akira and Fumi will somehow end up in the same play together by the end of the series...

A strange interaction going on between Yasuko and Kyouko. I wonder what that is all about.

Why was Kyouko crying? Could it be something that Yasuko said?

It looks like Fumi ended up in the drama club, so she and Akira may collaborate on something there, which would be interesting.
