| I want to know which anime had the worst or the most unnecessary second season (sequal etc.) and why it was horrendous. Some second seasons completely butcher the whole show in it's entirety, ruin it's characters, or completely take the plot from the first season and head off in a whole different direction. For example, Darker than Black's second season, "Darker Than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini" was a complete failure. Characters from the first season were missing, useless, or "loserfied" (yea I'm talkin about you, Hei." The plot was inconsistent with the first season's and made to follow the adolescence of a young teenage girl. And overall, it was just executed poorly. (Please don't list. I don't want lists. I do, but at least explain yourself like I did with the example. I'd really like to know why these shows were ruined because of their second seasons. Besides that, those pesky moderators will probably get on my back again.) |

| The second season of Chuunibyou was one of the most boring anime I have ever seen. There was like zero character development. Also the second season of Code Geass sucked except for the ending. |

| Don't know about straight-up horrible but some have been quite the dips at least Chuunibyou Ren Date A Live II OreImo ending Shakugan no Shana Final Suzumiya Haruhi 2009 (Endless Eight) also Imouto Paradise 2 and Oni-Chichi: Rebirth if anyone cares about H :3 |

| Chuunibyou Ren proved without a doubt that the franchise was nothing more than a one trick pony. The first season was good for what it was and the OVA was a nice little addition but beyond that point there's really nothing worth talking about. Don't get me started on the recap movie. |

| Second season of Kuroshitsuji. That was beyond terrible. In addition to casually ignoring the ending of first season and going full-filler, it also throws most of the character developments out of window in order to go gung ho with Ciel - Sebastian relationship into that of softcore yaoi. The plot was rushed as hell and some of the key characters only appear briefly (And as manga reader, it's a really irritating) which, most of the time, simply do not make any sense. It's at this point where i consider second season never existed in the first place. Thankfully enough, the culprit of such disaster, Mari Okada is out for the Circus arc, the most crucial arc in the series universe. |
| K-On! Season 2 - first season was enjoyable. I was looking forward to the second one at that time but the songs got horrible and Yui's character became more exaggerated. Just no. Neo Angelique Abyss:Second Age - suddenly became darker with no buildup, don't like Angelique's new outfit and was simply just all over the place! The first one was more enjoyable as it was more light-hearted. |
| I don't think Darker than Black S2 was that bad, sure it didn't even come close to the first season but on it's own it was fine. Chuunibyou Ren and DAL 2 were absolutely horrible. |

| The only response to this I have would be the OreImo ending. Makes me laugh to think back it was my first step into anime. I thought "is this what all anime is going to be like?" Luckily it did not dissuade me, despite being the only thing to earn a rating of 1 from me so far, even lower than Mars of Destruction. ThisNameSucks said: The Trolling of Haruhi Suzumiya. | I'm only 6 or 7 episodes into the second season of Chunibyo, but if it really ends the way I've heard then that would qualify for me for sure. Frankly I can't bring myself to finish it to find out...one day I'm sure. |
| Sister Princess Repure, not bad, but how it was handled was less than great. Date A Live II, it was too short for it's own good. Mitsudomoe had an average second season that was also far too short. |

| The first Darker Than Black was pretty good, the 2nd one was so bad that it weakens the first one a bit because the first one didn't have an ending. They were hoping they could clear shit in the 2nd one and boy did it not work |
| Ryuusei no Gemini would've worked out just fine had it been longer. On the top of my head, Code Geass R2. The first season was already filled with far-fetched twists, boobs and what not and in the second season they successfully multiplied the already existing bad qualities. |

| Darker Than Black, Chuunibyou DTB turned from a great semi-episodic worldbuilding show into some convoluted plot with lolis that ended just as open-ended and unsaatisfyingly as the first season so it just managed to drag down the series without even giving it a conclusion. Chuunibyou was just resetting everything basically, ignoring all the romance/drama of the first season and I just can't take it when shows like that decide to completely negate past developments just so they can do another season. Plus it wasn't even half as funny as the first season with the jokes all being old by now, so there was really nothing redeemable about the second season. |
