Ryouta sacrificed himself by betting that Saori would use her power to rewind time, but too bad he forgot about the moles. Now that was one ugly slimy crawler thing, good thing Ryouta squashed it.
So in that thing is a fertilized alien egg, shit got serious now! Just as serious as that booby fee that Kazumi was talking about, not counting the junk fee.
So it seems the evil guys sent a AA+ witch to infiltrate them, are they like batteries or what lol?

Hm strange, as long as I can remember EL wasn't censored like this, still I think it is not good that main heroine is so harmless, Lucy was way more badass -_-
Did you watch Elfen Lied TV version? I didn't but I bet they did that too. It's hard not to censor gore and nudity before it airs.

There had to be a pointless fanservice scene...

It's really annoying that girl in the end was showed in the opening and ending, so we all already know that she didn't come there to kill them...

Woah, that whole time-travel thing really cleaned up their deaths/his knowing of the moles nicely. Good job producers o_o

Oh god, the dramatic irony in this anime... there is just too much crap that we know that the characters don't know (Kuroha's moles, and the AA+ infiltrator girl).

Those ejection scenes are nasty. Kazumi joining the school and astronomy club was unexpected, genuinely thought she was a goner after doing the one last job. Wasn't entirely keen on the time manipulation angle to save Kuroha and Murakami but there wasn't really another way to play it after the both died. Hot spring scene was great, 'boob fee' ha.

There's nothing German or foreign about her accent, it's just a normal Kansai accent. The intonation in Kansai dialect is very different from Tokyo and most of the rest of the country, so it may come across as foreign-sounding.

Eh, too bad Ryouta forgot about Kuroha's signature moles.
That witch parasite was gross as hell.
Really want to find out what Kana's secret ability is.
Kazumi can be such a tease, lol.
Now that Kotori is introdouced, I wonder how she will settle in with the others.

Were you not paying attention in episode 1,2, and 3? Kana's ability is that she can see the future. If youre referring to what Kazumi was saying, basically it's that KAna CAN move around if she wants to (and probably does).

Also, did anyone else notice this: Episodes 2-3 of the anime covered chapters 2-8. Episode 3 was basically 4-8. Episode 4 covered chapters 9-13. At this rate, we'll get to chapter 42 by episode 13. I have a feeling they'll cut more stuff out and put even more chapters in each episode since they show Valkryia in the intro video. She shows up in the manga chapter 58 for the first time so either this show isnt going to be only 13 episodes, the intro video is misleading, or they're gonna to rush the show a lot. I'm assuming they're just gonna rush it like crazy because every site I can find lists 13 episodes. This makes me very sad since I'm a huge fan of this series.

I absolutely love how all the anime viewers are taking the implications presented to us at face value, boy will you be surprised when the truth comes out :D

That said, this episode was excellent. Ryota is fast at thinking on his feet if anything, stabbing Saori through the heart was a big gamble, but then again no one really wants to die, so props to him for the improvisation.

Its a shame he ended up forgetting about the moles, we're back to square one on that end. Kazumi is an excellent new character. After the forgetful and introverted Neko and the secretive Kana, I was expecting the overly-perverted/expressive "elder sister" chara to show up. Makes you wonder what sort of girl Kotori will be ::smirks:: XD

Good thing they managed to grab the meds, and it was a shame that Saori, after deciding to live, had to die. Overall it was an excellent episode, with a little added eye-candy in the middle for good effect.

I can't wait for the plot to develop more in the next episode. Bring on next week already!

Then you should know, that the majority of people there speak German. One could say it's not quite the same, but then again, in Germany itself you have many difference dialects, and 'high' German is quite different from 'low' German too.

And, in fact...you know, if history had went *slightly* different, you actually WOULD be German. Since you're Austrian, the word "Anschluss" should ring a bell.

In any case, saying she speaks German in the anime and claiming she is Austrian, doesn't contradict eachother.

Austrian German is different from just straight German, hell Bavaria even has it's own dialect.
Just because the words are spelled the same (for the most part) doesn't mean they aren't spoken differently.

For instance.
French people sometimes have a hard time understanding Francophone Canadians, Anglophone Canadians sometimes have a hard time understanding people from England.

---> One could say it's not quite the same, but then again, in Germany itself you have many different dialects, and 'high' German is quite different from 'low' German too.

UK English isn't the same as US English. Belgian Dutch isn't quite the same as Dutch from the Netherlands, etc. But regardless, it's still English or Dutch. If it doesn't deviate TOO much and becomes a different standard alltogether, it's considered the same language, even if some words and the pronunciation differs slightly. Like it or not, but the official language spoken in Austria, is called German, because it is German. It's the national official language and constitutes a lingua franca and de facto second language; for the rest there is Alemannic and Austro-Bavaria.

I repeat, thus: that she said she spoke German and was from Austria, is not a contradiction.

They didn't forget; it was a flashback.

Unless you mean they didn't tell the viewer in front, but that's rather a well-known tactic to create a surprise. And there is no reason why they *should* tell the viewer: it's the forth wall, after all.

*Within* the story, however, it's not a plothole: they knew in front about that power - the lame girl told them. Which is why the boy could think up that tactic to make her return so they would be 'alive' again. And still the prediction-forecast would be correct that they both died. So, as you can see, rather consistent.

Loved the episode because Austria was mentioned -> therefore Kazumi=best girl.

Nice Elfenlied reference.

But I have to agree, how they did have this relaxed conversation and tea time going on, while two of them were bleeding like hell and although maybe not on the brink of death, but still not looking comfortable was a little bit disturbing.

I'll agree that Kazumi is the best but because she is just funny while no one else gets the concept of comedy.

And its true too. They had a 5 minute long conversation about everything else while poor Kana is just bleeding away. Was waiting for her to yell something bout giving her the damn pills or something.

Hmmm , about the pills. I'd rather say the pill is food for that alien you saw from Saori , if not the Alien will devour the host and die with his host.
Judging by that I'd rather suspect the 3rd switch is releasing the alien inside and take controll of the host , other than that I cant think off.

L.E : Remembered , its the same theory with the parasite and its host , symbiosys if we can call it that way. If they are separated both will suffer severe damage , the parasite dies and the host might aswell but its not always the chase. If we speak only in cartoon/anime world Eddie Brook is a proof that he managed to survive his separation from Venom.

Holy fuck, the amount of fakeout with Neko's mole is aggravating me. It has already been revealed to the audience and there is no logic in postponing it from a narrative perspective. It comes across as lazy writing.

Episode 3 really pissed me off with that fakeout and I totally forgot about it until Ryouta mentioned it at the bath scene.

I also wonder about the alien species that is found in the witches' bodies. Is there any particular reason why the witches are female? Aside from anime logic. Claymore kinda explained that off the bat that male can't become these 'hunters' because of their libido, so I hope for a similar explanation with Brynhildr on explaining the single gender witches.

I'm being very picky about anime tropes with anime girls having special powers but guys are the average joe for the male viewers to relate to. It is one of my most hated tropes.

I never said that she doesn't speak German, since she obviously does, but that still doesn't mean that she IS German.
As I already said before, it's basically the same as calling a Brazilian Portuguese, or a Scotsman English (If you say that to the wrong guy, you'll risk getting punched in the face.). Or let's just call the Ukrainians Russian. No problem right?
No matter how much you argue, it doesn't change the fact that she is Austrian and not German, while speaking German.

So is the comedy in this intentionally bad or?

Oh, and the guy who thought that the time travel was a good idea should be killed.

Also the people calling that little slut who exposes herself to some guy she just met and seduces him the "best girl" are really, really pathetic people.

The direct and boring 'hurr durr shes nekkid lol!!1' fanservice aside;
I fail to see what's wrong with women who are free with their sexuality?

Although the scene seem bad, mostly because of the childish fanservice. There are a lot of people, straight and not alike, men and not, who have onenight-stands and calling them 'sluts' would just be insults. It's just that they're adults and here you're forced to watch an awkward fanservice.

The problem is that the main guy was clearly uncomfortable, so she should back off, and not that she 'seduces the guy she just met'

Not a particularly good episode. Sucks that the MC doesn't know about the moles anymore. Feels like the progress took a step back.

Yes there is clearly something wrong with a woman (or man) like the "fanservice" girl in this episode.

More specifically, kids.

Even more specifically, people enjoying this otaku garbage.
