your nationality is the nation you were born in
its value is completely independent from your race/heritage/ethnicity/citizenship

Well I just looked up the definition and it seems to be related to citizenship and "belonging to a particular nation". In that case, it's not where you're born because you can change citizenship.

well for example if you were born in italy
you'll always be italian no matter what country you decide to gain citizenship for
you can't really change your nationality

No, no. If I were to move to another country, stay there for several years and then gain citizenship I'd indeed have gained that nationality. You can't change your initial nationality only if you were born in a nation that accepts birth as a form of permanent citizenship (in which case you'd need to do some really bad things in order to actually lose said permanent citizenship).

it's a pretty tough question, I like my chicharrones en salsa verde every weekend, but the political and economical situation here is a hellhole.

I'd go to Italy, pretty much the same flag...

I'm Nigerian and I like it but I would honestly be Japanese because:

1. No burden of religion
2. Much more interesting, yummy & wholesome food
3. Cuter everything, & such beautiful & disciplined culture.

In nigeria the culture is disciplined too, kind of. But its mostly by brute force (for example, kids are actually caned in schools) rather than altruistic. I've lived in America most of my life though so that kind of thing never affected me. But still!

I thought the French and the Brits hated each other. Like, a lot. :D

Welp, maybe it's just a rivalry thing. Like in Finland almost no one would say they'd like to live in Sweden even though it makes so little difference.

Really ? Haha I'm sorry don't ask me about it I'm living in another world I guess haha, yeah there is maybe a rival thing between them but I really like England so... :)

Wow, seems like this rival thing is all over the world huh ^^

I don't know? It wouldn't be me, I think. My culture played big part in what person I am. Though I can't say being Russian is easy these days.

I'm both with Nationality and Citizenship officially a German, despite being born abroad, by Parents living abroad (ethnic German + ethnic Romanian) and I consider myself as a German as well, so even if I were to live my whole Life in Romania, I would still be seen by others and myself as a German, even if my Family hadn't moved to Germany.

I don't plan on assimilating to another Culture/Ethnicity unless there would be a very strong Reason for it like being persecuted for it, so at least my Nationality will (with a very high Likelihood) always stay German. My Citizenship might change, though, so I might be one Day an Austrian, Swiss, French, Norwegian, Swede, Dane, Dutchman, Canadian, New Zealander or whatever of German Nationality, whereas being "German" is not about feeling Part of Germany, but rather about belonging to the German People (Volkszugehörigkeit [ˈfɔlkstsuːɡəhøːʀɪçkaɪ̯t]), which is not equal to all Citizens and/or Residents of the Federal Republic of Germany and/or Holders of German Passports living abroad, but rather includes everyone with German Blood, who were brought up with the German Culture and profess/declare themselves as such, regardless of having a particular Belonging to (the Federal Republic of) Germany or not.
