| What a way to show how despicable the Witches are, the SZS vibes are really going strong besides that, surely Homura's got a reason why she's so against Madoka being a magical girl. Probably there's a hidden catch or something |
| Really digging the art in the fight scene. It seems Homura’s after the loot, that’s why she didn’t want Madoka and Sayaka to become Magical Girls. Mami was pretty badass in that fight. I wonder what Madoka’s gonna wish for. |

| I must say, the ost is phenomenal. The background is also so unique. Really loving this anime. Also love Mami's magicial abilities. She reminds me of Archer of Fate lmao. Seems like the other girls still don't know what to wish for. |

| Impressive way of illustrating the witch's powers and world! It is a bit scary too, but what I find most interesting is that the unique art style contrasting with how the normal world looks like highlights the transition from one world to another. The witch is more strange than scary, thus implying that the unknown cannot always trigger a straightforward attitude. Sometimes you're just staying in wonder...like I did 😂. I really contemplated that witch trying to understand her way of being. |

| Not really sure about this. A lot of the events feel too forced and rushed, like it's trying to get to something involving the main characters quickly or something. Seeing how the characters are pretty archetypical so far I know exactly where this is going. And Homura is going to have a big revelation later on about why she's always stalking Madoka |
| I'm really interested to see where this series is headed now, but that first episode is such a good fake out. This episode is genuinely creepy in a way that horror anime often fails to achieve. |

| I'm curious if this show was written with a game adaptation in mind. That explanation about the witches egg as a reward for defeating a boss sounded an awful like a game mechanic; refreshing yer mp/hp, and all that jazz, with even a limit on uses, too. Mami is lowkey kinda cool. Trust Shaft to deliver decent battle sequences, but that boss design was butt ugly, at almost vomit-inducing levels. |

| The fact that Kyuubey doesn't move its mouth when it is speaking makes it extra creepy Btw I love Hitomi So the Grief Seed absorb the black stuff from the Soul Gem, doesn't that mean that what the Magic Girls are doing are akin to what witches do, hence bad? |
| I love the way flashbacks and foreshadowing have been utilized in this anime. The colour and sound design are outstanding! Junko is hilarious. Doesn't even hesitate to answer when Madoka asks what she would wish for if she would be granted any wish. The anime is really reminiscient of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (unsurprisingly, as both were directed by Akiyuki Shinbou) and Mai-HiME (Yuki Kajiura did the music for both). On a side note, Mami is so badass. |
