| WOW!!!!!! This was by far the best episode of this series. Oh my God that was just extremely intense. My heart sank at least 3 different times that episode. It's almost unbelievable that that just happened. I really liked the squad so much and Eren trusted them till the moment they died. The look in Petra's eyes as she told Eren to trust them was so genuine and I was heartbroken to see them die the way they did. God that was just painful. I feel sad to know they won't be around anymore. :( Damn that was just crazy. Just who the fuck is this female titan anyway who decides to betray humanity. I swear she looks like Annie but you never know. To think that someone could brutally kill her comrades like that is fucking ridiculous. That damn titan is making me so mad. Poor Eren he has to carry that burden with him along with some many others the rest of his life. He tried so hard but he ended getting eaten himself and Mikasa had to watch. WOW! That is just too cruel. This next episode looks to be legendary and I can't wait to see. |

WHYYY? i loved them all, Petra that pissed her pants during first expedition, blonde guy that was so smart and this older guy that always bit his tongue when speaking, and of course poor Gunther :( They were all really well written characters with amazing personalities! But I knew from the start of "believe in us" that they will die. It works only in One Piece, really. And ppl were saying that only named character in this show that died was Marco - not true anymore. (not true since dead of this horse guy but he wasn't in the show as much as Levi's squad) I though Mikasa is a titan for a sec, but yeah Titan Blood =.= she would be too powerful and kill FT in 1 sec. Mikasa is too OP! Eren eaten again and funny thing is that i'm not worried 'cause of it. He's so stupid that he's alive for 100000%. Stupid characters are always alive - sorry but it's true. I don't like Eren... Mikasa is strong and aware of danger, Armin is really intelligent, some characters are scared, some funny, some strong but Eren is just.. piece of a shit. While not all of them were well developed (Gunther and Erd were promoted expendables that were only just developing IMO), Auruo and Petra were certainly sad to see go. If nothing else, then their deaths go to show that the FT really is on a level of its own. Gruesome deaths too, albeit somewhat quick. Gunther by a sick parody of the titan killing nape slash, Erd by being frick'in chomped into three while completely unaware of the danger, Petra brutal squash beneath foot like a bug and Auruo by way of one mean roundhouse kick (looks familiar much?). |

| Woow epic episode ! Finally Eren decides to do something ! And Mikasa, i hope she appears more often now that shes going to save eren .. Last episodes Mikasa almost didnt appear at all .. RIP Petraaa :'c and all Levi's team, so intense and heart breaking that part :o But love it , the combine of OST, flashbacks and intense fighing scenees makes me believe this was one of my favorite episodes o Snk ! 5/5 |

| Finally some developement! And epic fight in second part of this ep. I kinda feel sorry for Petra. But the first part of this episode was burdened with too much Eren's inner talk inside his head and felt like repeating things from previous episodes again and again (mainly Eren's indecision). But this is the everpresent flaw of this series. |

| I am not getting the Eren hate at all. What did you expect him to do? He fought against a titan who could turn her fists into diamonds, and obviously had much more expierence in her titan form, on top of being a more skilled fighter. For all Eren haters: The reason why Mikasa is in the military is because of him (Armin to an extent) The reason why nearly everybody survived Trost, is because of him He saves Mikasa and Armin again, when they have the cannon fired at him He Plugs the hole in the gate at Trost, humanities first victory against the Titans, all because of him and his will to defeat the Titans and see the outside world. At the trial, he defends Mikasa and takes the blame for himself and stands up to the corrupt cowards even though his life is on the line, because he is one of the only people with big enough nuts to fight the titans. He listens to his squad mates orders and when they fail, he tries to bring the female titan down, but he doesn't have much expierence in his titan form and loses (after putting up a good fight, he lasted much longer than anybody else did). So what do you want Eren to do? Make the stars align so that you can see your name in them? He has done more for humanity than any single character has so far, even everyone's precious Levi had done less, for the Scouting Leigion had never won a battle against the titans before (Trost is the first victory for humanity). Yes Eren has help from his friends, but then who doesn't, Mikasa isn't invincible either, Eren saved her when they were children, and twice using his Titan form. |
| See Petra die, curl up in ball, try not to cry, cry a lot. I'm half surprised Mikasa didn't cut down Levi just to finish off the Female Titan. We all know she has no love for Levi after that royal beating he gave Eren in front of everyone. Also not sure why everyone is hating on Eren, both times he was eaten he was in a rage. First for Thomas now for the whole squad. If he wasn't so upset and thinking straight he would of had a much better chance against the Female Titan imo. But yet again he rushes in when he shouldn't of. |

While I don't mind these aspects, if they're used well and in moderation(One Piece, Magi), it's refreshing to see a subversive take on these aspects. Another thing to note are the female Titan's expressions, I liked that in the manga and knowing what I know, it's interesting to follow those. |

You say that, but I actually think this is the opposite extreme; this is the type where 'everything will almost always go wrong' and this anime's abused that to no end. It's good and it keeps things dramatic, but anyone could've predicted that those 3 would get killed. I would've agreed with your point if this was like the 10th or so episode, but being on episode 21 and seeing this whole despair situation play itself out again and again, I can't say it's that unconventional, I've seen shonen anime do it quite a bit. Also, let's not forget that Eren getting eaten again is merely a springboard for him to do some sort of shonen power up or get saved by somebody, something like that. However, if that doesn't happen and he comes out unscathed and in a new dire situation (out of the frying pan and into the fire, as they say) then this would be just another 'it gets worse' situation. I get what you're saying, and I agree to an extent, but SnK's kinda made its own rule and used it a bit too much, haha |

I was trying to write something along the lines of this on tumblr. It wasn't even necessarily because he lacked experience when he lost. It was because he froze when he saw her fighting stance. She fricken knew he would as well. You could tell. If anything, Eren is the most useful character in the damn series. And who's to say Levi and Mikasa could even win against the female titan if she wasn't as tired as she is now. |
