Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| I read the manga a lil long time ago, but this is a good series. Honestly, that was the 1st time I ever felt so sorry for a main character before. Expecting more of her next week. |

| I wish they would have had more time, I think it could have been even better if they stretched out her realization that she's unpopular just a bit longer. After all it was supposed to be one of the main points of the anime, that she fully believed she would be popular from her gaming experience. It was still well excecuted though through the links to those thoughts scattered throughout. I only really noticed that it progressed quickly when I compared it to the manga afterwards. |

| Hi Tenshi_Sky. Agreed. Tomoko strongly reminds me of Konata Izumi from Lucky Star. There are many similarities. There must have been many things about Konata's personality and psychology given her lack of friends and her fixation with R18+ erotic role playing games. Also, there were extensive hints of a sick sexual relationship with her pervy father. So she must have been seriously messed up despite the cheerful outward appearance that we saw. Lucky Star was a different genre. It was "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things". No doubt, Tsukasa, Miyuki and Kagami had dark, evil sides as well. I won't step into the debate of whether or not Tomoko is ugly. However, it seems clear that she is not drawn with the goal of looking very cute. In any case, there is an objective, scientific way to define attractiveness, which is whether or not a guy will ever ask Tomoko out on a date. This is simple evolutionary biology. No date, no offspring. With Tomoko, I would say it is 50/50. Watamote is a very dark story. A lot of people find it funny. On the other hand, it is possible to get depressed by watching it. I would really enjoy seeing Lucky Star being adapted into the style of Watamote. Or K-On or Haruhi or Fumoffu or Marimite... |

| She's really cute I want to hug her. But despite the comical animation, i feel sad for her. She is a very relatable character. I can empathize with her. Just thinking off the top of my head, that is not so common in anime series. It also helps that she has plausible relationships with her mother and brother. My guess is that it is quite difficult to make an anime series popular while at the same time having a realistic story and realistic characters. Also, as we are seeing, real life kind of sucks and is depressing to watch. Given that, it is notable that the manga has been extremely popular. Let's watch to see if the anime will be successful as well. From the discussion here on MAL so far, it looks like a winner. |

| Although i have not read the manga, this is perhaps one of the only anime that is so depressing for me... Animation was excellent,, and i think i will continue watching it ^_^ |
