If you do not count all the various treatises on Aristotle, Bataille, and Hegel for classes and papers...

Dr. Zhivago by Boris Pasternak

He is no Tolstoy or Dostoevsky, but it is a rather good read.

You spell it in a variety of ways, my editions spell it Dostoiévski

Anyway, you have the better books on hold. Fantastic.

At the middle of the fourth book she is still alive and kickin'. I guess our wishes will never come true? *haddesk* I wish this book would just end so I can go back to the Divine Comedy. I never thought I would want to go back to the Divine Comedy...

I'm currently going through four books and I plan on picking up Meyer's 'Eclipse' as soon as I can (though I'm certainly in no hurry):

'The Trial' - Franz Kafka
'Fifth Business' - Robertson Davies
'The Myth of Sisyphus' - Albert Camus

and

'The Count of Monte Cristo' (rereading) - Alexandre Dumas

So it's a book about a dog in Vietnam? How does that work? :O

Heres the discription that's on the back of the book.

CRACKER IS ONE OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY’S MOST VALUABLE WEAPONS: a German shepherd trained to sniff out bombs, traps, and the enemy. The fate of entire platoons rests on her keen sense of smell. She’s a Big Deal, and she likes it that way. Sometimes Cracker remembers when she was younger, and her previous owner would feed her hot dogs and let her sleep in his bed. That was nice, too.
Rick Hanski is headed to Vietnam. There, he’s going to whip the world and prove to his family and his sergeant – and everyone else who didn’t think he was cut out for war – wrong. But sometimes Rick can’t help but wonder that maybe everyone else is right. Maybe he should have just stayed at home and worked in his father’s hardware store.
When Cracker is paired with Rick, she isn’t so sure about this new owner. He’s going to have to prove himself to her before she’s going to prove herself to him. They need to be friends before they can be a team, and they have to be a team if they want to get home alive.
Told in part through the point of view of a German shepherd, Cracker! is an action-packed glimpse into the Vietnam War as seen through the eyes of a dog and his handler.

Right now I'm reading Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare. It's funny when you go to the bookstore and you start flipping through the translated versions of Shakespeare's works, because they just sound retarded compared to the original text, haha.
They say there's no such place... as Paradise. Even if you search to the ends of the Earth, there's nothing there. No matter how far you walk, it's always the same road. It just goes on and on. But, in spite of that... Why am I so driven to find it? A voice calls to me... It says, "Search for Paradise."
