| Trying to force myself through the horrible turdfest that is Muv-Luv Extra for the second time so I can get to Unlimited. Not exactly the most favorable introduction to the franchise. |

| Visiting my home means a no-gaming christmas time for me, but I was playing Xenosaga II before this joyful occasion interrupted me. I heard bad things about, but I think I prefer it to part I. The game is finally starting to tell us who the characters you're playing as are, which the first game forgot to do for some reason. Battle system is also much improved, but unfortunately its complexity makes regular encounters take about as long as boss fights. I can't yet say if there is a reason to rely on mech combat in this part, but I do hope there is a reason to use them (unlike the first game). Also it has more music, which is great, but changes in character designs are a splitter. The best looking character from the previous game now looks terrible, but on the other hand all the annoying ones look much better. |

| Life I'm currently trying to open a locked door but none of the keys in my inventory seem to work; I even defeated some sort of cat monster in the room but it didn't drop the key I needed. Then the game glitched and I ended up stuck in front of the TV for 2 hours. So now i'm looking for a game guide online to help me, no luck so far though. Really wish I spent more points on leveling lock picking than I did on the sneaking cuz that shit is bugged and never seems to work. |

| Just finished Spec Ops: The Line and I was thoroughly impressed with the depressing thematic exploration and writing. The gameplay was intentionally bland to further serve the game's critique of the modern military shooter which, quite sadly, also keeps it from being fun to play. Spec Ops was unique as hell and probably one of my GOTY contenders but it was far from a good game. Anyway, it's cheap as fuck on Steam right now so I recommend everyone to experience it for themselves. "Do you feel like a hero yet?" |

| Finally got Far Cry 3 thanks to a friend, so I've been playing that. I really love it so far, it's like Just Cause 2 in first person - only lacking the hookshot and all the amazing fun that came with that. Oh, and the driving, oh god the driving in JC2 is just too fun. FC3 is pretty much my game of the year - but only if you go by the western standards of not including anything made by Japan, so Meruru and Graces not included. Playing Assassin's Creed 3 alongside that. |
