Not sure, unless they stipulate in their will that their next of kin is to log on and announce that the original owner of the account is dead/missing.

I had this last year as my friend was in Japan when that huge Tsunami/Quake hit, she was in Fukushima where the nuclear reactor trouble was, thankfully, she was something like 90km away from the actually plant, so there was no danger at all.

Nah they were fine in the end, but couldn't get in contact for awhile in the beginning.

I lol'd today when my mom said that she was going to the store to get batteries and water to be prepared for the storm. Let's see if I regret it.

I can see the power going out, but you'll almost definitely be fine on the water front. It's just fairly windy here (Kingston) at the moment, but no rain or anything.

Power already went out in rideau heights lol. Lights have been flickering here, so yeah, power probably will go out... Although it seems to be calming down. Not much of a storm really... Just some wind.

Honestly though, this is all America's fault for having it's coastline right in the middle of a storm zone like that. Such poor border planning.
They should put it some place quieter, like, the Mediterranean or Siberia.

No power since Monday evening. I live on a mountain and I can't say I'm having the time of my life sleeping in a room that's 50 degrees and being unable to shower or flush (well water here). My friend a few miles down the road got power back today so I'm at her house for the night leeching heat, internet and electricity. Been doing nothing but eating soup and reading by daylight. Just...a few more days...

That sucks!

We got lucky and kept power here... good luck getting it back soon to all those who lost it :(
