Most of my anime is on dvd but the little I do download I keep. When my hard drive fills up, I'll get a large external HDD for it all.

I used to keep all of my anime because I have slow download speed but I got a better internet and a new laptop with bigger HDD size so I only keep only those anime with memorable scenes that I like to see again to give space to anime and stuff to download. For ongoing series like Fairy Tail and One Piece I keep them in my brothers external HD if it takes many GBs of HDD space

I keep it until the season is over because I don't want to put my high powered magnets in use. If like an anime I'll buy the real thing.

don't download, I stream. Quality isn't an issue when you can barely see two feet in front of you.

If you mean on my list? Well, no. That defeats the entire purpose now wouldn't it?

I pity the people that download. What a hassle.

Aint that a big of a hassle. I stopped streaming anime after noticing the subs were not timed right. Noticed its quite often when I streamed Amagami SS+. Streaming has bad quality too. Its more of a hassle trying to find a good player to use than to download. Alot of sites use different players but not always the particular player you want.

All you do is download the ep, pop it in Potplayer and watch.

Stream's quality sucks in comparison to my blu ray rips, I can also correct errors in the subs if i got a downloaded copy.

I only download anime that I really like and stream the rest because I have some pretty slow internet....I just got done downloading a torrent for Ookiku Furikabutte and it took over a week lol. Then I store them on an external hard drive and watch them on my PS3.

This is pretty much my test for an anime to make my list of favorites. If I can't delete it then I know how much I enjoyed it. Basically, I've kept everything in my top 20 because even if I'm fairly sure I won't watch some of them again in their entirety I can always bring up my favorite episodes or my favorite moments pretty much on demand. Or if it's Kaiji then I've seen all 52 episodes three times by now with my favorite episodes being watched even more. And of course when I want a badass death I always turn to my Legend of the Galactic Heroes episodes.

Luckily I just bought myself an external HD for my birthday last month as I realized I was getting into anime, so that gives me 1 TB to work with. I download as much as I can, then watch it, then keep it until I buy it. At least that's the plan. If it isn't available in the US, then I download it and keep it because with all the copyright crackdowns going on lately, I'm afraid the links will go down as well. Or worse, I'll have to use RapidShare....dear god. Right now, I've got way too much downloaded that I haven't watched yet, just look at my list. Hell, I'm downloading a series as I type this. Maybe I'm just addicted to downloading. There's something about having full access to an anime, with no commercials, no limits, and being able to put it on whatever device I want, and share it with friends too. Yeah, downloading's pretty great :D

Every once in a while, I'll come upon a masterpiece I wanna hold on to. And then I'll never rewatch it, because when I'm in the mood to actually watch something, I'll rather watch something new on the off chance that it'll be the next masterpiece.
So I really should just delete those as well. When the planets align and I finally decide to give NGE another go, I can redownload it easily.

What I do is if my desktop runs out of space, I will start deleting the anime I did not enjoy very much. But I always save all my anime on my portable hard drive so even if I delete them on my desktop, I will always have it on my portable hard drive. My desktop is like my backup in case my portable hard drive breaks or something.

And I can always download it again if I ever want to.

Depends on if the downloaded anime has bad subs/audio. I think I have only deleted one anime off my computer. Though It only takes me about 4 hours to download 26 episodes so its not really a bother to me.

I only keep the anime I've rewatched enough times that I know I'll rewatch them again, like Hikaru no Go, Terra e and X. The rest I delete right after I finish them.

I do archive the opening and ending clips though, haha (when I find them, at least). I have 80GB of them from around 500 anime (including several I haven't seen yet, sure). Though I've shot myself in the foot with them several times, for downloading too high quality - I have a bunch of hi10p1080p BD rips from anime like Madoka and Star Driver that I can't watch (<- sad.)

So now I normally delete them. I have Fiber optics internet so I tend to download the episodes pretty quickly anyway so it's not to bad.

I NEVER Delete.
I'd rather buy another Hard Drive.
I'm currently on 2TB Anime / 6TB Total.
The only time I ever delete anime is when I remove the HDTV copy after replacing it with the BD-Rip.

I hope to one day earn enough money to build a 100TB file server and a 100TB mirrored backup server.

P.S. Anyone know of a good way to compress the files for more economical storage?

I posted [THIS] two months ago regarding my storage. I've added about 500GB of anime since then.
