We got some soft yuri in the beginning. Hell yeah!! :D
*replays again*
Also, I wondered why Kyoko is shown in ep 4 as dead as show in the last part then she came back this ep.
Maybe she's Kyoko in disguise or what.
Looking forward how Eu will fight next ep :)

Not much Yuu in this episode - just pointless fanservice which I never enjoy. With this overload I'm having a hard time sticking with this show. I don't even wanna think about the first half of this episode, so yeah... I'm only just noticing this is an ecchi genre. >_>
Complaining about ecchi in an ecchi anime
...you were one of those people complaining every week about Highschool of the Dead having too much fanservice, weren't you?
Never watched it for that reason.

I don't know when they added the ecchi genre on here, but it wasn't there when it first started airing. I just thought this was a show that had a lot of fanservice. It was only today I noticed it had ecchi as the genre.

So it was Kyoko after all.
End of episode 3 - They introduce Kyoko
End of episode 4 - They show Kyoko dead.
End of episode 5 - Kyoko is alive and revealed as the villain.

So, they randomly showed this old woman in room 305 at the beginning of this episode. Then just after this they show Kyoko walking down the street. Episode 3 they show Aikawa and Orito going into room 305. With all of Kyoko's talk to immortality during this episode's battle, my guess is that she's that same old woman trying to keep herself alive. *shrugs*

That is a good theory, but there also has to be an explanation to why they showed Kyoko getting killed in episode 4 and why the nurses said the old woman was in the hospital for one year. If that were true, who was the girl that Aikawa and Orito met in room 305 from episode 4? My theory is that the old woman probably killed Kyoko and took her form to get closer to Aikawa because she is fascinated in his zombie ability. During the fight, she did seem to be very interested in the concept of immortality. On top of that she probably has the ability to copy powers since she very easily mimicked Sera's and Haruna's abilities. She probably is just mainly interested in Aikawa because she wants his zombie/immortality and the is a good medium to get to Eucliwood Hellscythe, who is a necromancer and can prevent deaths.
Yeah, I am curious about all that as well. I'm too lazy to go back and check, but didn't she say something about Yuu "finally appearing"? It made it sound like she did everything just to draw out Yuu. Sera also showed up because she wanted Yuu's assistance; it's starting to seem like Yuu is at the center of a lot of things. It's hard to guess at anything else without more information.

What a plot twist!

...not really. I saw this coming the second I heard about a "survivor". You don't generally survive being serial killed. Unless you're Aikawa.

This was the most fanservice-ey episode of this anime to date. I really like the white out and sparkles, it really works. I would rather them use that kind of censor then use weird or awkward camera angles.

The opening scene just made this show go up like 2 rating points on my scale. Also, having a villain introduced was also a really good thing done in this episode especially since the villain is really cool (and hot).

This episode was hot (loved that opening scene)! And damn so Kyoko really was the culprit and like an ultimate bad guy, she's like three people in one. Hmm, if she's appearing in episode 5 then I wonder how the true bad guy, who's motivating Kyoko's ambition for immortality, is like. But still this was a really good episode, gotta say I look forward to each and every episode, every week.

Opening scene was top notch. It's funny that Sera talks smack about him even though she's acting like a complete biotch. When she called him an insect and coughed up blood when she mispoke...damn her tsundere runs deep LOL

The second I realised Kyoko was a vampire-ninja-mahou shoujo-zombie I loled so hard it physically hurt xD. But she's not quiet a zombie, more like a cat with 10 lives I guess. Also Sera said she wasn't a vampire but something similar. Seems like she really is a mahou shoujo though considering she seems to know Haruna. YES! Thumbs up to the badass entrance of Yuu at the ending there! Now as for that starting scene! I would have enjoyed that opening scene...except my computer was plugged into my massive sound system when I played the episode...so those first 10 seconds of Haruna....blasted through my entire house....D: Learn from me all you MAL citizens, always check WHICH wire you plug into your computer!

Shit just got fucking real.

Best episode. I was really disappointed by the last two episodes but this ep just skyrocketed my interest back up. The starting fanservice was just O_O holy shit, Sera's insults were hilarious, Haruna was just HNNNNNGGGGGG, and the fight was entertaining with a killer cliffhanger.

Can't wait for next week already.

What the hell is with fanservice? its increasing by every new episode.

awesome episode though. i was thinking maybe that kyoko will try to stay with him as a fourth member and then she will try to attack but she make a direct move. Sera was little bit pathetic in last moments. she lost with one move, though she make up for that later by killing her once.

I can't wait to see Yuu in action. so i think her real target was not ayumu but necromancer. she's planning something big, maybe by killing necromancer, she want to get true immortality or something. one thing i don't understand. why kyoko killed her self in last episode. was that some kind of ceremony?

i'm not entirely sure but does anyone else thing that could her "lives" and "killing would grant you immortality" would mean that by killing specific people she can steal their souls and that would count as an extra life? o.o

Damn I hate cliffhangers! ._.

Overall a solid episode. Kyoko, being the culprit, didn't surprise me. What I was surprised about was the fact that she had all these abilities, call it "hacks" if you will (lolAizen), but I'm glad it was enough that even Yuu considered it dangerous and decided to help out. As for the fanservice, very nice way to start off. You know it's going to be a nice episode when you start off with a Yuri fanservice.

Highlights:
- Epic Opening scene
- Bath scene
- Haruna
- Sera coughing up blood due to a slip of tongue on her insult
- Yuu to the rescue (!!!)

Like I said, I hate cliffhangers... 1 week left until Yuu fights, damn it all! ><

I am following two harem/fanserivce series this season, IS and Zombie. And this episode just proves, Zombie does everything better. It has the better characters, especially the better male lead (but then, everyone is better than that dude from IS), it has the more interesting setting and it has the better fanservice. Really, I dislike fanservice, but if it is as creative as here, even I can enjoy it. Talking about Kyoto Tofu and Tokyo Tofu while poking each other’s breasts is strangely genius.
Also Ayumu is one of the better male leads in any harem. His perverseness is kind of charming, he isn’t a righteous prick (has no problem killing his enemy, even if said enemy got big tits) and most importantly, he is a freaking mahout shojou and a zombie.
Of course, this show still isn’t very good…but it is very good in its genre and that alone is good enough for me.

For a series that didn't really seem to focus much on fighting, this fight scene was done rather well. Nothing as long or as prone to strategizing as what you might see in Naruto, but the fight definately had a shounen-type feel where: Protagonist gets beaten -> Protagonist unleashes devastating attack to surprise Enemy -> Enemy goes phase two/hidden power.

Upon closer inspection, I see this studio has done Rurouni Kenshin. That explains quite a bit.

The opening scene was interesting as well as the fanservice. But this masou-shoujo-vampire ninja(?)-zombie(?) hybrid killer that is Kyouko is a bit too much that it's not really a good twist. The fight was interesting though.

Apart from talking about the fight and what I think, this episode proved Haruna centered. I think she deserved that spot to show how MOE can she get apart from the previous times she was. Among them I find the following shows a great example of her,

One thing about Haruna is the tsundere genre and for some strange reasons she has that vibe from Serizawa from Mayoi Neko Overrun. Apart from that Sera got me cracking with her insults and Hellscythe was cute as usual, especially with Ayumu’s imagination. I also have interesting details to point out but first Haruna.
About Haruna, from the very beginning she gets into a yuri lock on kiss with Sera much against her will due to her arms being held by Sera, which is really too bad since Ayumu lost a chance there for a first kiss and unfortunately Haruna got bitten. I think it was too bad some details were not shown but I think it was made more to insult the serious vampire stuff with a comedic version instead, which is what this show does anyways. I think it was too much for Haruna so she got KO but at least now we know Sera’s breasts can be good cushions. Haruna’s expression when she was running towards the door to stop Ayumu from entering was priceless. They even showed of what it looks like Ayumu taking her virginity by seeing her naked and the way those flowers represented the situation in general. She also has some weird dolls in her room, they look so alien like. Here’s the funny thing, where do you think Ayumu’s eyes were looking when Haruna being naked jumped kicked him? Yeah pretty much at her most private spot and that kick was instant ouch/KO where it hit Ayumu.

A first cute expression of Haruna is definitely during her bath time. That fang also contributed rather well and it also shows a breast augmentation. Looks like you can almost see all of her at this part. Haruna’s Dai-sensei is also quite interesting. The phone she used IRL standards is really old tech yet the lines connecting it looks so advance magically. More cuteness is later shown as her behavior was during her following Ayumu to get the tofu and at the convenience store. She was so funny with her expression at dispelling the barrier and her eyes were quite different here. I think that Haruna apart from Hellscythe is MOE but unlike Hellscythe she achieves it naturally while Hellscythe needs the imagination of Ayumu to achieve that. In the beginning I think her realization is that she misses her powers, it’s not about the clothing but about her regret in losing her powers. I think that’s what it is.
Rest in spoiler

Is it just me or cat over shat in fear of the phone booth?

About preview, you can bet I will do that as soon as I get it from my site. It does not seem to be up yet but I want to see them and then will post them up later.

Since it seems everyone is multi classing it would not be so far fetched =P

Any way am I the only one who think Hellscythe will kick some as at first but then tables will turn and she'll start to lose ground and ultimately be saved by Ayumu?

None of the attributes may be accounted for in this series as it makes fun of a lot of classes like a magical girl with a chainsaw? Really? Really? Never heard of it but it's original same with the vampire ninja stuff so they can make it original that because it's a special class it's different from other vampires.

I almost forgot about about her and i think you might be right.
I don't think Kyoko was working alone and she is probably working together with that elderly woman.
Or she might be the elderly woman herself like your suggesting, there might even be others involved.
Like Dai sensai her face was never showed this episode only vague images of her, and she could have just been trying to lure Ayumu out.
