She keeps planning to have s*x with Kinji and got "turned on" when she saw half-naked Kinji. Omg, please do not choose her Kinji. I am sorry if a have offended Shirayuki fans but I am really pissed right now because this episode had made my respect for this show drop down. I hope the relationship between Aria and Kinji strengthens later on and more importantly, the annoying yandere to stop living with Kinji as he is already with someone. THIS. I agree so much. The looks on Kinji and Shirayuki's face when Aria denied being pregnant was hilarious. The part where Aria whacks him with a sword while walking to school made me lol Omg ahh Kinji is a lucky man. He gets to have Shirayuki live with him too? Damn LMFAO at the dramatic music when he opens the panty drawer. That was soo fucking epic even though it was a few seconds. In what sense? It's a comedy anime (in addition to other genres), Shiroyuki is comedic in nature. Sounds to me like she's already made her contribution at that point. Not to mention today she was a quest-giver of sorts, thus serving as the mcguffin for this story arc. What else would you like to see from her? |

Fair enough. She is a supporting character. The story would indeed hold up just fine without her. She's also not the shows only source of comedy. It would be a pretty shit poor comedy show if she was. Seems to me though that she contributes to the plot about as much as I'd expect a supporting character to though. She's done a little bit of exposition, she colors Kinji's character somewhat, and occasionally acts as a catalyst or trigger to set events in motion. Of course, she could be replaced or flatout removed in a heartbeat and we'd still have the same show. Heck, most of her comedy spots could pretty easily be filled in by Goki acting the part of the bromantic foil. In fact, now that I think about it, I can picture how that would go joke by joke and really no significant part of the comedy would be changed at all. Still, that's the thing. Supporting character. She's not supposed to be important the way main characters are. She's important the way Goki or Shiranui are. Heck, sometimes even when characters are completely unnecessary you gotta add some secondaries just to establish that there are other people who attend this school and to allow the main characters to socially interact with people other than eachother. I know I'm kind of meandering around the point, but yeah, you're right. As much as she does contribute, she's quite unnecessary. If we were gonna streamline this show and get rid of all the unnecessary elements then she'd definitely be gone. Of course, then all we'd have is Kinji systematically hunting down criminals and working his way closer to EU and the secrets of his brother's death. Not that I wouldn't enjoy that show mind you;) |

I actually love Shirayuki, shes hilarious and deserves to be in the show. |

| Instead of "Yes, Shirayuki is a Choutei." Kinji should've said "Yes, Shirayuki is Darth vader." That music was fitting after saying that she "didn't get pregant". But this episode was overall a huge let-down and was the worst episode of Hidan no Aria until now. They shouldn't make fillers when it's such a short show. |

I like Nagi too...but being that she's a spoiled princess, it's hard to relate to her or sympathize with her. Unlike Shana and Nagi, Aria is not a child but an older girl trapped in a child's body, yet she is also naive. I can relate so much to this...it's not even funny. Louise is very bitchy. I'm not that far into her anime yet but three episodes go by...and she's still a bitch. That was not the case for Aria. And before you even ask me about Taiga, I haven't even watched Toradora yet. |

Shana = uses wooden sword to hit Yuuji in training Aria = does the same, pretty much a copy of what Shana does.. :/ Louise = makes Saito her slave for a reason Aria = uses the same line, and it seems she confused her term of "partner in butei" for "slave to do my shit for me" Nagi = hairstyle Aria = ...way too cliche.. as for Taiga , I haven't watched the anime yet, but by seeing episode one, she's just naturally like that. also, I dislike Aria for her voice, too much KugiRie lolis around, its starting to annoy me a bit. if she did a different role it be nice, but sadly lolis are everything they feel like giving her, sure her voice is "unique" but don't over use it that much that'll make people dislike her in the end, or make people be like "I'm tired of her voice... someone else would be nicer =_=" , just stating that out there. |

I assume Butei is an occupation with a high mortality rate. Wouldn't exactly be outlandish for two characters of Butei lineage to have a dead family member or two in the hopper. Especially since her father would probably be in his late forties to fifties depending on when had her. That's a lot of years of crossfire. A lot of enemies get made with that kind of job. Yeah... can't imagine every butei lives to be old. Regarding the tsundere discussion, personally my favorite will always be Nagi. She's just, quite frankly, the cutest thing ever to be conceived. Her personality is relatable, as are many of her problems. She doesn't have that bitchy or bratty edge that some tsunderes have, though she's admittedly spoiled and generally helpless, but that only serves to increase her appeal. I can't help but root for her and feel very protective in a way that makes every minor conundrum significant. It's all personal taste, but as far as I'm concerned any other tsunderes I may enjoy are a flavor of the week. Nagi's the one I always come back to. |
