| I'm assuming the anime will take place in a whole different world with different characters. I'm juding this off the story of the light novels. Each of them seem to focus around a different geass user within a different time period. Lelouch's story was pretty much told already, I'd like a new story. Speaking of the Light Novels. | I hope Code Geass doesn't turn into a Gundam series with spinoff and sequel of spinoff. Since it sets place in Europe, there is a strong chance that C.C. will be in it since C.C. used to live in Europe and we didn't get much background info on C.C. from the two series. But, as long as Clamp is the character design and most of the staffs from the two original series return, I am down for anything even if it is a pointless spinoff/prequel. |

| Just for the sake of clearing things up, since I've noticed some of you are still confused. We're talking about two completely different projects here. a)The new anime is Boukoku no Akito. It's a side story taking place in Europe on a.t.b. 2017, which is the same year the events of Code Geass season one took place. The protagonist is named Akito and there are no images available at this time. b)The new manga is Shikkoku no Renya. It's going to place decades or possibly centuries before the anime in Japan during the Edo period. The protagonist is named Renya and he has an artificial arm. Renya has already shown up in promotional art. Personally, I don't really mind if we don't see Lelouch or anyone else from the existing cast in the new anime at all. They're supposed to be in Britannia or in Japan, not in Europe. |
