Do you ever enjoy sleeping, or just lying, even if you're not tired?

I find it weird how often I find myself more preferring to simply just sleep than doing anything else, even some things that should be more entertaining - watching TV, browsing internet, reading something, listening to the music, etc...

And it's not like I hadn't had enough sleep last night.

Does something similar happen to others?

I prefer watching anime more than just lying down wasting my time, except I'm really exhausted.
Well even tough I'm exhausted I still watch anime though.

I take all the sleep I can get. I am incredibly jealous of the people who can fall asleep whenever they want and get as much sleep as they want.

If I'm tired and cant fall asleep because my brain is always thinking about stuff, than yes relaxing is the next best thing.

If there was a way to avoid sleeping I would, but I need at least 6 hours to get through a day.

Definitely not. I'm more productive when I have a lot of things going on for me, than when I have all the time in the world to perform a specific work. Good thing you can sleep all you want. On school days, I only sleep for 5 hours.

Its wonderful.

Sometimes I get tired then I just lay down and stare at my ceiling and around 30 minutes later I will feel like I just woke up. Kind of like being mentally exhausted.

Yes. I usually wake up at around 7-8am on the weekends and I lie there until 10:30ish. I'm not tired, I just don't want to do anything and I enjoy the quietness.

Sleeping is pretty fucking great. You learn to appreciate it once you've experienced an 80 hour work week or two.

Otherwise I do my best to stay awake.

Does no one here enjoy laying down in a green field pssibly under a tree and just enjoying the peacefulness? It's one of my best pastimes during the summer. The birds singing, the trees swaying and a nice summer breeze brushing your cheek, it's great.

It's mine as well ^_^

But since it's not always possible to be outside near a green field I just lay down on my bed or recline in my computer chair in silence. Sometimes I listen to the sound of rain as well.

Ah definitely!! Especially in the dark! I find that rather soothing! <3

It isn't normal to be so sad that you just sleep, even when you're not really tired?

I find dreaming to be quite exhausting, but maybe it's just me.
I tend to wake up extremely puzzled after a dream and I don't know if it was real or a dream. That's quite a disgusting feeling :(

But other than that I looove sleeping/laying around. The bed is always my friend, it's warm and soft and it protects me. =)

Uh, no. Sleeping is my least preferred activity ever, which is why I spend the time I should be sleeping doing fun things instead. The only time I sleep is when I'm so tired that I can't go on anymore.

It takes up a pretty large portion of our life.

That's true. Considering we get, on average, 8 hours of sleep per day, that's 1/3 of the day. So if we compare a day to our entire life then we practically sleep for 33% of it.
