| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So...is there a story here? I'm beginning to wonder if there is in fact an overall plot, because, besides the guy in the chair and the blonde lady, I'm not seeing much to tie all of these stories together. As always, the relationship between Ciel and Sebastian is good, but when it's in the context of one of these kinds of one offs, it feels flat and sad. This wasn't bad. It got a little good towards the end when Edward remembered his past, but still, I can't help but feel like I've heard this story before in this show. Not only because it mirrors Ciel, but because we just finished with the other prince in the last episode who dealt with something similar. |
| Well not really a story as of such as a random tale, I somewhat doubt that the ghosts will aid the storyline in future but I do agree it does resemble the prince's arc so not the most exciting of episodes. |
| It was decent... maybe it would be better if this was lengthened to 2 episodes, i would have loved to see more of Edward and his brother's past. |

Same here .. this is better than the previous prince's ark to me they weren't that similar, atleast it didn't envolve curry. anyways, i really enjoyed this episode alot. next episode seems intersting Grell and the undertaker :P ! |

| It wasn't bad, but i think that the anime needs a little more of action, and how Blitzaga and Sasoora-san said this story would be better, and more interesting in 2 chapters, however I still love Sebastian and Ciel <3 |

| Ew gross, last place I expected to see filler. It went too quickly, would have been better if it was two episodes. Richard was cute though. I'm starting to suspect nothing is going to come out about the Circus Arc even though they introduced Joker (or at least a character that looked a hell of a lot like him). If the next episode isn't that great I might rate this down and take it off my favorites, the last few episodes have felt really subpar... >: But Grell might save it for me... xD |

| The episode itself was alright, but it was great to have Mitsuki Saiga as a guest seiyuu :) Plus, the brothers were cute. Can't wait for more Grell~ Gawd, he's so awesome XD |

| It was good but it would have been better not to move so fast and give it another episode so you could get better background. It looks like the manga and the anime will go in different directions judging by the preview, and that there are only 8 episodes left and the Circus Arc would be to rushed. |

| i thought this was a good, creepy episode. i enjoyed it quite a bit. obviously the history's a bit off, but i found it interesting. i'm not familiar with the manga storyline, so i assumed it was a filler though. without giving away any spoilers, does anyone know how close they were to wrapping the series up? all the storylines seem to be disconnected and i can't tell whether they're any closer to the end than they were 10 episodes ago. |

| I didn't love this ep even though I did vote 5 I wasn't think when i did that. But I do have to say that I do like this show a lot I do have a feeling that it is going to have a bad ending but that is be. Well not so much as a bad ending but more like a cliffhanger ending. |

| Ugh, filler. I wish it'd follow the manga more.. Like the circus arc would be nice to see. I couldn't watch the episode without thinking of Kyou Kara Maou!. Wolfram's voice actor and the use of "heca"(sp?) kept reminding me of it. |

| Liked how they included some history in this episode. I rather liked this episode. Funny how everyone is wondering what the plot of Kuroshitsuji is. This series has never really had a plot. It's just about Ciel and Sebastian's relationship. Nothing more, I thought. |

| Bleh. I thought this episode was boring compared to other arcs. If they extended it to two episodes, I think it wouldn't have seemed like a pointless filler episode to me. Overall highlight of epsode: bwahahachick said: Funny how everyone is wondering what the plot of Kuroshitsuji is. This series has never really had a plot. It's just about Ciel and Sebastian's relationship. Nothing more, I thought. Took the words right out of my mouth. This series just follows Ciel and Sebastian on their adventures as the "dog of the queen," clearing out all the mysteries of England. However, Angela seems like the only long-term conflict, seeing as she keeps re-appearing for reasons unknown at this point. Next episode has the Undertaker and Greill. I am content with this. |
| I'm not sure why everyone keeps bashing this episodes. This was one of the best episodes in Kuroshitsuji for me. Yeah, the message may be cliche, but they presented it rather nicely. Eww... Grell is in the next episode. Seeing how everyone here is crazy for him (I'm certainly not), I guess I'm a maverick when it comes to this show. |

| Hmm, I think Sebastian enjoyed Ciel suffering as he didn't even know how to tie his shoe lace without the help of Sebastian, lmao. Okay, so there are ghosts in this episode. Very nice. There were no actions in this episode but it was still good. I was just wondering if that Lord Richard was a boy, then how come his voice is a little girly? Also, 400 years without no rest? Damn, that's gotta be tiring. Well I guess if you're a ghost, you won't feel a thing. Filler eh? It's not really suprising since almost all shounen that I've seen have fillers, lol. Also, it makes my Yaoi senses tingle everytime Sebastian says he's a property of Ciel, and only Ciel, lmao. |

I am wondering this since many many episodes ago and I'm still in WTF mode about the anime's storyline.. although I found thsi episode better than those with the prince.. I just love more darker plots and less funny stuff.. I feel that the idea of a demon batler, the contract and the abuse of Ciel are so so so powerful as a story idea, that they could have done wonders with it!! And here they are just wasting episodes showing silly and unmatching stuff!! I wanna see the darker side of Sebastian and I wanna see his true face! He just can't be that loyal as he shows! But I suppose the whole series will be wasted like that with meaningless subplots.. If it only focused on the main plotline.. with the adittion of Grell+Undertaker then it would really really be the best anime of my life. But now? not even close... gah i'll see if it will get better later on! *prays prays prays* |

| I actually really liked this episode. Man, this anime has some of the BEST filler I have ever seen. I much preferred this ep to the last 2 eps.... just sayin'... OOo grell and the undertaker next ep!!? Yay! :D |

| Despite having a totally random sub-plot and being filler, I enjoyed the episode a lot. This is kind of episode are what I longed in Kuroshitsuji; it's a really nice change. I really like when the implement of real history occurrences. I loved seeing Ciel as the spoiled bratty boy he is. And of course, Saiga Mitsuki was a bonus~ |

| At first I was annoyed that Black Butler strayed from the main storyline all the time, but in every episode we learn a little more about Ciel. Even though this show seems to have a lot of random fillers, I have no doubt that everything will come to a head in the end. |
