| They could do a second season, just not in the old Angel Beats world since they are no longer dead As an example, they could do a romance/comedy like Kaichou wa Maid sama using the entire cast in the living world (ie they don't know each other yet). Heck they could even do a slice of life like Working! with Yuri as the store manager Or a Railgun type thing where the cast have some supernatural/mutant powers. Many possibilities if we don't restrict it to the original angel beats world |

| I think Key shouldn't have to care too much and just do Masterpieces, like Clannad. 13 episodes were a bit too less for them to solve all the mysteries and questions we're having now.. Not that i would mind if there is another Season, but wouldn't make me sad if there weren't. Just a few OVA's, which have to be really good are enough to satisfy me. |

| Just finished this series ...good ending ...quite touching actually ...but i do not think that a second second season would be a good thing to do ...i don't know ...but kinda agree with some of the comments about seeing an ova or a series with Otonashi and Tachibana in it and of course T.K too !!hahah ^^ |

| Yuri is just breaking the 4th wall, why that should throw anyone off who watched the series already is beyond me. Then again, I'm sure Key is getting enough money from DVD/BD sales to make a second season if they wanted to. Angel Beats cash cow fosho'. |

| A prequel series exploring the pasts of all the other members and the formation of the SSS would be the perfect basis for a second season. Sure, there would be no Otonashi, which would suck, but I still would like to know who the other SSS members really were and where they came from. |

| Second Season, but in the "human" world It seems like only a small percentage of "teenagers who couldn't pass on" out of the entire world are in that world, and by Tenshi's and Otonashi's relations, it could be that they are in the vicinity of each other. I would like the second season to be like Clannad, where it shows a alternate world as some like of flashbacks(while Tomoya doesn't fully remember his dreams), while the character interconnecting could be like Durarara!!!, showing multiple viewpoints at once. Of course, since this is a "second life", some crucial events making their lives... horrible could be remedied. And since the character list is a bit long, some could be only shown briefly doing something, but something that character always wanted to do (Like Iwasawa could be shown on TV as a new musician, and the characters mention her for a second) |

| I have to say that the first episode of Angel Beats set up the series nicely. I loved the first episode. Then... it got messy for me. The humour simply wasn't funny. There was not enough time and depth to the characters for me to care during the "sad" scenes (and I loved the way it was done in Clannad). The only genuinely sad scene was the Yui one. Finally, the plot did not flow well, was rushed and had plot holes you could drive a tank through. Also having main characters disappear like that after minimal character development in the last episode was a disappointment. Especially Yuri. I personally found the anime to simply be a medium for the great songs that were played during the series. I think the phrase that is thrown around for this series is "wasted potential." If the series had been 26 episodes, it would likely have been far better. As long as they can fix these issues, I don't see why the second season should be amazing. Props to P. A. Works for great animation and art. |
