Did anyone else feel like the episode was playing at 1.5x speed the whole time? Has this show always been like that? There's barely any silence between lines and it sounds like they're trying to force as much dialogue in as possible.

It's pretty sad to see one of the biggest IPs in the world, getting a PowerPoint presentation with moving mouths after 6y. I love OPM, but I hate seeing people be happy or content about this. It says a lot when the main talking point is the OP. It is literary the only positive thing about the first ep. I still have hope, but holy shit I'm scared.

@matias067 Prison School is pretty good, at least. I love that anime, and I was laughing my ass off with that one since it's pretty damn funny.

But yeah, OPM S3 had a shitty start.

Perfectly competent and average anime episode that wouldn't get any flake if it was your average generic seasonal 7-ish isekai instead of thecontinuation of a beloved title that deserves much, much more. It also doesn't help that it was released at shadow of a goated summer with shows with crazy animation.

Wasnt as terrible as I feared. Beeing back to this in anime form feels weird though.

Animation isnt even that bad, the voice acting actually feels weaker. Maybe its the mix of both.

This is ONE PUNCH MAN but it just feels like it has low energy, not the high octane show it was 10 (shit its been that long?!) years ago.

Either is fine.

From before to be clear I meant make your own animation to put your vision out there. Not to diss folks.
Example the Academy Award winning animation of this year Flow, took four years to make with Blender a software that is free for all.

I will check Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru out.
I did enjoy Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku last season it had a feeling of truth during adolescence.

Fubuki being shocked by saitama always being surrounded by the most overpowered Heroes doing stupid sheit never bores (even if Fubuki=best girl)

I feel she looks a lot different from season 1 and 2 though. I mean season 1 obviously had more animation and budget to start with but it's also quite different from season 2..Well not like anything matters considering people already pretty much posted the ''ending'' fights (from the source) everywhere few days before this ep came out. Spoiler City Bros.

Hey let's be honest here, for me, it was really bad episode, no, saying it bad would be so generous, garbage is better on describing this episode. I know, it is just talking scene in entire episode, but it was just one frame and they just zoom in, zoom out and slide it up and down like when you presentation with powerpoint, even the scene transition looks horrible for me. If you say it's normal what the hell is going on with you bro?, if you normalize this shit, it will not get better, just gets worse and worse, so if it is bad, just be honest to yourself, critize it, so it will get better (just correct me if im wrong)

I'm happy this came back.
I wasn't upset about s2 quality when it aired, and honestly don't care about it now (it's ugly tho).
But man, I know it's just the 1st episode, but the yapping is crazy, this episode alone rivals the entirety of TenSura s3 lmao

it was disappointing seeing that the latest season is on Disney plus/hulu. The dub is gonna take forever to release and no one will know were to watch it. The first episode lacked any real action and it felt like it needed to be longer since the last season was so long ago.

Art is definitely better than in the last season, but the first episode barely had any animation at all. Everyone was just standing and talking.
The walking animation actually looked off in a way.

I hope they are just saving resources for the fights, I don't mind if the conversation scenes are like this.

This episode felt weird, The cuts were so sudden, Switching from one moment to another felt weird. But it was a decent premiere I guess.

Opening and ending songs are great though.

Seems like I might have to pick up the manga soon because this is shaping up to be a huge disappointment already lol.

This is the exact same situation as Blue lock, I started the manga after the first couple of episodes and seems like I'll have to do that again. If anything, This is a great promo for the manga xD. Everyone will want to read it.

I thought it was just me who found it weird that they just kept talking and talking and there was no pause or tension between the cuts, It all felt like one scene lol.
Hard to explain but maybe the storyboard was at fault here.

Quite lazy and limited animation. Practiacally PowerPoint slideshow. I'm gonna watch the whole season anyway, but I don't except much and won't be suprised if it'll be another flop.
I noticed some improvements - the studio stopped using the annoying scratchy brush to draw outlines like they did in season 2. Also the color pallette and shading style looks better so far.

Loved the coloring, compositing, and for the most part, the line art looked pretty good!... but that's about it for the positives.

An over usage of stills, weird sounding voice work, pretty bad pacing/storyboarding, and some off-putting animation come together to make this first episode a pretty rough start to a new season.

Seeing a lot of posts at about the exact level of normalcy I was expecting. Making anime must really suck when this is the fanbase.

This does feel like basically a motion comic which is pretty unimpressive but the art looks good at least. We'll see if they're saving their pennies for one or two big bursts during the season or what but I'm not that fussed with this being how the show is.

They keep the drawing and color good, just because if they don´t, they knew It would be filled with screenshots all over internet. But god, the characters aren´t alive at all. I guess that knowing that there will be earnings no matter how cheap they make it was enought to make so little, than call it mediocre is being too humble.

It isn´t the fault of J.C. Staff animation department. I know they can do it better.
It wasn´t the H director neither. He has made it a little better before in no H anime.
It wasn´t the time, they had. But didn´t wanted to waste money making people work for a decent amount of time.
It wasn´t the money. We allready know OPM have the money.

It is the fault of some suitguy that wanted to keep money investing the less possible knowing that Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu and a decent percentage of fans will see it anyways.
Even if fans complained with the second season, they saw that they could invest even less and keep more money in that way.
No action chapter? It was, but it was cheap even for that, the characters didn´t even blink till the middle of the chapter.
And outside the animation it wasn´t like the OST, Rythm, storyboarding, dialogue, or even order helped. even just reading the subtitles as a script, it was boring.

I like cheap stuff, I see anime made for with like a crew of 5 or something, and I don´t get mad.
But this is being irrespectfull with the viewers.

Pacing was a bit fast and choppy but it was a setup episode with a bunch of discussion so hopefully they were just trying to get through all the talking in one shot and will slow things down a bit moving forward.

This was once a funny and entertaining show. I can forgive if animation quality drops, but when the first 10 minutes (I don't know, I stopped watching after that) is "We need this hero, but that hero is there, and we think the monsters are over there, and that hero might join us blah blah blah." Just don't care. This could have opened with Saitama at the grocery store and it would have been 1000 times better. Hard dropped.
