Let's Play: Quest-darake no My Life Episode 3 Discussion

When Olivia said to force that indie game site to change, my brain added "by attacking their payment providers" and made me laugh. I don't know how they're going to resolve that issue, but until they mentioned that I'd thought getting Marshall Law to play her game again was the most obvious route.

This only kind of feels like an anime. The Japanese dialogue definitely shows signs of having been translated from English, but maybe I shouldn't expect American characters to talk like Japanese people.

That scene with them being the uber gamers at the arcade was pretty cringe, not gonna lie.

Also, I still don't believe that the review site wouldn't remove the negative reviews, seems like an obvious case of brigading and I can't believe a site like this wouldn't have a rule against it.

I liked the scene with Olivia outside the arcade though.

Still doesn't sit right with me. Maybe it's just because it's such a major plot point that feels unrealistic to me.

Not as unrealistic as her guild though, that's for sure.

People being a little weird or unfair about it most of the time it seems. I think the popularity though will keep going up as the series progresses.

@DanielW100 This ep has mostly positive comments, but the series overall score dropped again :'D

I think the 3 episode test is dead, so we are stuck with the Rorschach test that is episode 1.

Not that I'm saying folks are wrong for how they rate on MAL. Fans are always right ig.

Just think it's also super funny that the first overall series review went up today, and it starts by wondering why the score is so low in the 6.15~6.20 range, proceeds to recommend the anime as being better than the current score suggests, then concludes by....rating the anime a 6

@No_Comment_Plz Thanks for feedback, I get what you mean. My review was more about encouraging people to give the show a try rather than focusing on the number itself. Sadly, MAL doesn’t let you post reviews without a rating, so I had to pick one — and I personally see 3 stars or 6/10 as a decent score. It just looks worse here since MAL’s averages are pretty inflated; even the most generic shows tend to hover above 6.
