Alma is cute for a robot. This episode focused mostly on Enji, Suzume, and Alma's relationship. I think they're like a little family together. Definitely need time to see how their relationship will be fleshed out. Alma herself looks like just any human when dressed up tbh. Cute episode overall imo. |

Found Family with Kuudere child and romance with two tsundere scientists. Not much fond of the tsundere but they seem to be moving on that front. I love found families. I though she was going to zap the butterfly. "... someone else to for it for us." Alma: 'done.' "I can totally here her breathing." As an Evil Overlord, I know the solution for that. 😈 Sending a prototype combat android on a testing expedition in public. No potential downside there. |

The helping a foreigner segment started off adorable and ended with me wheezing. Alma really was programmed to say it like it is lmao. Can't get enough of the little stamps after all the "Alma Reports". |

Adorable wholesomeness for the win. Sundays are gonna be a day of rest and healing between this and “Dad is a hero, mom is a spirit…” |

That was okay I guess. There were some amusing moments (like when Alma hacked into the city's database), some cute ones as excepted. It seems quite easy to see where the story will go from there: the three of them growing as a family, the two scientists eventually becoming a more or less 'real' couple, and Alma learning from trial and error about the real world, not that there is something wrong with the plot being predictable. On the negative side, the pace and direction, as well as the comedic timing, felt a bit off to me at times. Judging from this first episode, I don't expect this show to end up as one my favorites of the season, but who knows? In any case, it should be a pretty cute watch, so I'll keep up with it :) |

Everything about this show is so adorable ✨💖 I'm gonna die of diabetes. Enji, Suzume, Alma all are lovable characters. Alma is bringing her parents together through her charms. The op and ed with the visuals of them as a family are so beautiful 🩷🩷❤️ It's a 9/10 for me. |

@phantomfandom There is a lot of Saturday (and other days) anime that did not make my cut. I stretched a little far last season after evaluated preview information, and would up with too many 6s and 7s. |

I like it so far. Alma is cute and those two scientists are also cute together. Always appreciate some adult romance in anime, we don't get that much of it and this season we get a couple. That english speaking part gave me Cultural Exchange With A Gamer Girl At The Arcade (or whatever it was called) vibes. Love the ed as well. |

5/10 art is average, music is meh, and the plot is mediocre/ borderline boring at best, the only potential I see in this is the interaction between the girl and the boy mc, but honestly if they are going full science route there wont be much romance :/ |

This is probably one of the best new shows I'm watching. Bit of a SpyxFamily fake family dynamic, but much funnier. Alma's definitely cute and the "parents" are definitely awkward. And yay for a foreigner interaction scene where the foreigner talks somewhat like a real person for once. 😅 |

Lol, Alma trying to legally marry her parents in just the first episode, albeit through illegally editing government databases. This one's probably gonna be enjoyable. |

I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life. |

Lukewarm episode, but fine enough. Don't think I'll drop it, but it's not going to do the same for me that Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai did. Though the dude speaking English with whatever the hell sort of ZeFrank type accent that was really caught me off guard. |

Decent prologue. Feels like a lite version of Spy x Family, haha. Enji is basically Loid, Suzume is Yor, and Alma is Anya, just without the superhuman strength of the parents or Anya’s esper powers, haha. In any case, I’d be really excited if they enrolled her in a school or something. That would be hilarious. |

awww this is just so wholesome 🥹, Alma is so cute and adorable (and can be deadly too apparently lol), I love the silly dynamic between her 'parents' trying to figure out their feelings and how Alma tried to convince them, fun lighthearted comedy with mini-episodic structure, should be an enjoyable watch! |

another .. spyxfamily .. both are geniuses and the kid is an android .. and most likely both of them will end up actually becoming real married couple .. seen the stupid gag too many times to care. and obviously the comedy will be sending the droid to school and letting her live the life of a normal human girl.. because why not go the whole 9 yards.. and destroy every single possibility for an original anime story? i'm giving it 3 episodes test before dropping it. it better hook me. |

well the concept of the show isn't totally new we have seen human alike ai robots even a decade ago in " Plastic Memories " but yeah this concept isn't seen very often and it does intrest me more cus the main charecters are to get together eventually so this isn't just sci-fi mecha anime but also budding romance between adults ( im bored with high school romance tbh ) |

A heartwarming home comedy, and the first-time errand theme is also a staple of Japanese television programming. |

Oi oi oi, this felt great. Please let the fluff reach to its peak. Kinda fantastic start tho'. Welp, all that matters is Alma and her family. Lol'd so hard on those Enji and Suzume moments xD. Smart Kid, a natural shipper, through and through. |

Can't believe I almost missed this one and i'm glad i gave it a shot because I'M OBSESSED now. This, definitively not Spy, family is just too adorable. Alma is the cutest and her creators really make a brilliant duo. The animation is also very good and THE MUSIC my god! The OP is a banger, the ED is beautiful and the general OST is just really fun with its 80's arcade vibes. A hidden gem for sure. |

This is like Spy x Family, but with a robot daughter. I like this a lot and give it a 10/10 so far since I'm a big fan of Spy x Family. Doubt it will beat Spy x Family season 3. |

This was so cute! Another show I was on the fence about, but am glad I started. It reminds me of a mix between Spy x Family and Rikekoi! Two scientists who totally are into each other forced to cohabitate and co-parent lol, Alma inadvertently playing the best matchmaker on the planet role. Unlikeliest found family dynamic, but you can see the chemistry between the two parents and Alma being so innocent just makes things even better. I’m looking forward to more of this, we’ve got quite a few cute turn your brain off and enjoy series this season! You just know when the two scientists start realizing how they feel about one another, it’s going to be great. |

@GangsterCat I don't think you know what tsundere means bro, those two being clueless and dense about love doesn't make them tsundere whatsoever, otherwise any character being slightly being dishonest or one time was dishonest is now a tsundere, definitely not |

Alma looks a bit like Anya with two Alexa Dots in her head, and perhaps an Oguri Cap when she doesn't have any expression. I guess that was the intention, because even the animation when she's searching for something is similar. I'm liking this one a bit more than the robot wife that didn't have emotions, even though it was quite interesting to discuss home robots, AI, and how they might function in real life, especially when considering laws and other factors. This one started right in the middle of that, in the family aspect. |
©2025 LaczPro What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway). And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea). |

I haven't watched Spy x Family (actually I did watch the first episode or two but never got into continuing with it) which others have saying serves as the closest point of comparison to this. But from among series I've completed the closest thing this reminds me of is Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai from last summer season (summer of 2024), except with the romance being less of the primary/nearly sole focus and focusing instead on the cobbled together family dynamic as a whole, which Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai did to an extent at a later point. I don't know if I'll end up caring for this one as much as that since in that one of the romantic couple (the wife) was the robot rather than solely the child, so it was also a transgressive romance, which is my prime wheelhouse. But I can regardless easily see it being one of the series I stick with throughout the autumn season. Romcom Slice of Life with a Sci-Fi angle can work. |
