Things like Aliens or myths or Urban Legends.

I like to think things like numerology and signs from above are real

I think Bigfoot might be a chill guy

And if To Love Ru is anything to go by, alien's will be fun to meet. Especially sexy alien waifu's.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

Telekinesis. I’ve had recurring dreams since childhood where I use it to levitate and glide around instead of walking (probably one of the reasons I love Mew).

Well it isn't that I "know" it's not true, but the idea of a happy state of existence after death is one of the few things that keeps me going. I just happen to lean towards doubting that.
Superpowers would be cool, but I feel that's too easy of an answer, haha.

I wouldn't fully write off anything easily even if very fantastical.

Academic like or in practice? Since these can lead you to different information at times. In some cases it is self suggestive hypnosis, some meditative neural pathway strengthening, some it is traditional medicine etc.

Tyranny of the majority is an issue of a direct democracy. Better with a consensus though this has fault of not being likely for anything in large populations. Representative democracy is always corrupt which only possible response to is a sortition to draw a population sample by lottery.

True justice and accountability.

Fairies. It was pretty cute how the buses say "hello fairies" as they pass the fairy bridge on the Isle of Man.

Non-avian Dinosaur cryptids, such as Mokele-mbembe, Emela-ntouka, Partridge Creek Dinosaur, Delemere Dinosaur etc etc.

No matter how much I like calling Bjork "Byork", her name is really pronounced like "byerk". I usually try to pronounce other people's names perfectly since my own name is almost always pronounced incorrectly, but I just can't help saying Byork! It just sounds better!

@Rally- I've called her Ba-jork for my entire life, and I doubt that will ever change lol.

@fleurbleue Telekinesis is about moving other objects. Levitating is simply levitation. But yes, I was also into stuff like magic and parapsychological abilities back in the days when I was small and psychological Pokémon were my favorite category

@Noboru Psychic levitation has to be telekinesis, no? If telekinesis is about moving stuff with your mind, why wouldn't that include yourself too?

@fleurbleue Because those are two completely different concepts with words from different origins. Read more here:

@Noboru While this website says telekinsis is all about lifting objects, my dictionnary has a different definiton.

psychokinésie
Faculté paranormale d'exercer une action directe de la pensée sur la matière.
(Paranormal ability to exert a direct action of thought on matter.)

And just to be sure, I also looked up levitation.

lévitation
Phénomène par lequel quelqu'un pourrait s'élever dans l'espace comme s'il était délivré de la pesanteur.
(Phenomenon by which someone could rise into the air as if freed from gravity.)

So I don't know, by these definitions alone I don't see how one couldn't levitate using telekinesis. Also, even though your website want to educate on possible misuse of the words, it still says the following:

Some people believe that levitation can be achieved through the manipulation of energy fields or the use of supernatural powers.

@fleurbleue: using etmyonline is much better if your dictionary is descriptive (how words are used) rather than prescriptive (what they actually mean)

https://www.etymonline.com/word/telekinesis

in spiritualism, "movement of an object produced without contact," 1890, said in early references to have been coined by Alexander N. Aksakof (1832-1903), Imperial Councilor to the Czar, in Modern Latin. It means, etymologically, "motion at a distance," from tele- + Greek kinēsis "movement, motion" (from PIE root *keie- "to set in motion"), and it translates German Fernwirkung. Related: Telekinetic.
Oh wait, yet another case of using a pseudo-Greek neologism after a German term

https://www.etymonline.com/word/levitation

1670s, "to rise by virtue of lightness" (intransitive), from Latin levitas "lightness," on the model of gravitate (compare levity). Transitive sense of "raise (a person) into the air, cause to become buoyant" (1870s) is mainly from spiritualism. Related: Levitated; levitating.

Yes, that's kinda the whole point of the runes I studied, they do magic stuff but like, "Have a dream that shows your deepest desires" or "Scare away any rival, won't let anyone get close to hurt you" stuff like that

Sortition sounds like it has the same flaws as direct democracy. Some people suggest guiding the sortition with the assistance of experts. But then it sounds like we're embracing a soft version of epistocracy.

Economic restoration of Japan as a person whose father has a hefty investment profile in a Japanese hotel property along with the added halal butcher shop and restaurants and I'm happened to be his de jure, or more specifically pro tempore, representative.

My co-worker in Japan is not that thrilled from the concern that the US government and private businesses keep bringing down the Japanese economy as a whole starting after the Plaza Accord by Ronald Reagan.

In a way it can but I thought maybe if there is some level of anonymity while still maintaining transparency and accountability that would prevent bribery from being practical. I thought of experts aiding them too but these experts also can have too much influence over them. Also I would only have it for more immediate measures while anything more like major criminal law changes would have to also pass a public vote too as a backup measure. I suppose there is a few other approaches. I just started thinking sortition at least gets rid of the issue of political smear campaigns which is why I started leaning toward it as potentially a better form of democracy.
