| I was led to assume that Fuji could be an erotic/hentai novalist. The way she avoids the topic especially with a kid made it more believable. I was thinking throughout the episode NO FCKN WAY the anime will pull this kind of twist because it's been established that Fuji is this pure and gentle character whom btw has a knack for perverted stuff to write about. |

| I liked how the lines of Fuji's poem about her everyday encounters were intermingled with the sentences of her conversation. They were great to underline the mood of the episode and to give a feel of her books. "Why did I offer you an umbrella? How did that look in your eyes? Was it a coincidence that we met on a rainy day? Why did you offer me an umbrella? How did that look in your eyes? If it hadn't rained, we may not have met We met. We didn't meet. We wanted to meet. We met. They have similar faces, so I end up mistaking them, but I wonder if encounters are coincidences. If it is trully necessery, you will encounter them. If they are not coincidences, why did you choose me?" |

| @Zudoba So true! The reason Ame to Kimi to will never go above a 6/10 for me is cos I find Fuji's reactions to some things really weird, like... She makes the strangest fusses over the most innocuous matters. I think the writers want us to think it's super cute (and I guess 99% of the readers/viewers of this series do just that), but tbh I find it kind of irritating. |

| @DrabinWhite Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone is open into sharing their hobbies/personal experiences even if it seems mundane to most people. Especially when writing novels based on your personal experiences or implied in them, wouldn't that make you feel a little bit embarrassed to be discussing it among your friends? Add in the fact that she's socially isolated the majority of the time and most of her communication is to her raccoon dog pet, it doesn't surprise me that she's inclined to develop these habits that seemed off-putting for most well-adjusted social people. My rationale of Fuji not wanting to discuss what she does for her work is the same levels as me not wanting to discuss anime with my co-workers. I don't even want to tell them that I watch anime let alone obscured anime such as My Melody & Kuromi (the Netflix show for babies that is widely popular globally but never discussed in forums), Nukitashi and Kaoru Hana just to name some recent shows. I never actually watched Demon Slayer and Boku no Hero which is what my few coworkers do watched and openly discussed. If they asked me if I watched anime, I'd just say I watched DBZ and Naruto when I was a kid and that's it. |
