| Loved the episode. I believe Kafka subconsciously fears losing control, which is why he can’t fully transform into #8, only partially. Honestly, understandable. I also loved how Kikoru repaid her debt to Kafka from the first season, rocking the exact same drip and the same IDGAF mindset, ready to slice #9 in parts. |

Anyways, I wonder why Kafka suddenly couldn't transform when he's doing so well before when only Reno (and Shinomiya?) knew that he's a Kaiju. He's probably feeling the pressure...or what?

| Welp... they made MC develop PTSD from losing control... If they previously had tried to help MC and train him properly, this wouldn't have happened. But instead of training, they just give him a ultimatum that he'll be killed if he doesn't control himself... which is pretty much a fear dumping. To make matters worse, as I said before, they spread out all his old Squad, so MC has barely anyone to give him pep talk or help him through this. Since the blond twinhair doesn't seem to be talking to him at all since last season's end.. (she's too busy trying to become stronger to care about MC) |

| Very disappointing episode. Bad colors, bad animation. S1 was a juggernaut but the plot is already rounding out. We are getting into unfortunate territory. I miss the old cast, this new team is terrible. That was a gamble and it didn’t work out. Blonde love interest barely talks, I miss a “Kagome!” at least. And main has no dick, he’s barely there now. So disappointing. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is team main sucks and has no cool power. Welp I guess S1 was all luck. I really thought they’d take the next step but this is more like OPM S2 now. Guess we were bound to take a tumble. I’m trying to find any element as good as S1 right now, but we downgraded. |
| I'm with a lot of people, here. I was really hyped for season 2, but still no transformation from the title character. And what a surprise, he can't get it up when it counts. It's an annoying cliche, and I'm sort of fatigued by it. Not going to drop the show or anything, but they better not keep his impotence up for many more episodes or it's just going to be a, "Wait until the end of the season then binge-watch because I don't feel like waiting week-by-week just to be disappointed, if I even remember to come back" kinda thing. |

| i was wondering what's gonna happen to Kafka now, and i kinda suspected he'll be reassigned to Shinomiya's dad's division for the time being. he's got some performance anxiety happening there from the looks of it hence why he can't turn to his kaiju form. |

| It's a nightmare to live in kaijuu city and have an x% chance your home will be decimated in attacks 😔 nothing is truly safe there. Honesy with how deep the cracks in the floor go, bunkers would be little more than oversized coffins. But for the attack this time to be an ant raid 💀 Something about monster shows and the insect type, almost hand in hand. These ones sure are ready to pick some bones tho. Uh XD First Captain, at least be responsible with money spending. Figures aren't always affordable. Kafka doing work now 🙏 bout time he could let loose. The hesitation moment is real 😔 rip. If only he was geared up from the onset. Really had a mental block on his ability. Uh.. we're running out of time #9 will give you to transform 😓 |

| Things are getting juicy. Looks like, for some reason, Kafka can't transform, and No. 9 is here as well to take Kafka's powers. This is the next generation's trial, Kikoru is helping Kafka for the time being and Narumi is also engaged with No. 9. |
