it was good till the end but when ayanokoji said in himself that he don't think anyone as an alley and that for him humans are like tool, I didn't thought that he will think like this. looking forward for the second season.
Can somebody explain this? Is this a plot hole?
Is it really just that the school doesn't know because the school is portrayed to know everything somehow. Like when the teacher talked about exactly how many infraction they made during the first month...
And why didn't Class C get atleast 50 points, since Ibuki didn't start the fire (apparently Ayanokouji did) they should get atleast 50 points in the worst case scenario.
100 point for getting Class A and B leader right - 50 for getting Class D leader wrong = 50 points left
@Bororus_Rooroo He destroyed her camera, but she would not know why the camera isn't working and she would also need to report it being damaged.
The school gave them watches with GPS locator, so they are not watching them on the island. I think the infractions were all in the classroom, but they don't seem to know everything. As Ibuki said, someone would have to see the violence.
Class C would know B leader, so they got A leader wrong in order to drop to 0 or something that wasn't explained.
I think I will hold off on watching season 2 and 3 until after I read the LN since it will have more details then the anime would.
Reminder that arisu has basically not shown up at all this whole season. still not sure why she sat out the whole thing but shrug.
Presumably no op this ep. last ep we ended off on the cliffhagner and what on earth is going on now
so yeah we finally get to see, class a has been busy farming the points in the last 7 days
hmm. whats this about misuse though?
honestly im still not a big fan of the whole innocent vs guilty twist
now the thing is that, the rules said that if class a makes a wrong guess, not only do they lose 50 points, they also i believe forfeit all their bonus points or something, which means making a wrong guess is actually a huge gamble
well hopefully s2 expands on the whole stuff
actually if they had proof that class c attacked suzune that would be penalty too, but uh....
tbh it feels like a bit of a prisoner dilemma thing, be selfish, or be selfless and then get backstabbed
so anyway now its the final day and time for the big reveal
class b chooses to play it safe and not guess. no gamble no risk
so yeah class a and class c backstabbing each other, no surprise there
but yeah, their whole plan hinges on guessing correctly, but what if they're not correct?
so in the end, yeah as expected
class c tried to win by trickery, but failed and got last place
class a also tried to win by trickery, but because they actually put in some effort they got some points
class b played straight, 2nd place
class d got first place because they outtricked the other classes
so class shenanigans, class c losing face
ichinose's points have still been sitting around 2m ever since we were told, not much of a change
i mean ever since they told us you can buy your way into class for 20m points that's been the main guess.
though im curious, if she gets into class a, but then class d takes over, what then? i mean really shrug
so anyway yeah, as soon as they revealed that was the whole hinge, it came down to guessing, and by changing your leader at the last moment you ruin the other classes
so yeah mr mc is just using suzune as a shield ironically
so everyone is just being manipulated by him
anyway the other classes have more than enough points, class d is the only class still struggling with the point system
like class a has what, 300k points?
20k points per person is 500k in total for the class, so one year's worth is 6m points. actually wait, by the end of 3 years thats 18m points, almost but not quite the 20m required either
i was hoping we'd get something more concrete but alas
i mean i dunno, in a sense its like an op protagonist as well, but he just kinda sits around
because he's probably better than suzune, and suzune has felt rather shafted too tbh
rip the other girls btw
so yeah he himself says this at the end of the episode, to him everyone is just to be manipulated.
which, so far there's been no sign of his character development
you could say its possible, but its hard to say if its true or false
if anything all I can say is that, both class a and class c have taken internal hit to their reputation, and I guess class d got like 200 points out of the whle thing? since class c got 0 points thats a decent close but like
It's kinda funny, but the op has kinda grown on me. It's still weird though.
So yeah ok guys I'll be honest, I have no idea what's so good about this anime.
I've seen worse thats for sure, but honestly like the main problem is I'm just not attached to any of the characters.
We have not only just a op main character, but he's BORING.
And not only that, he's like either almost/borderline or actually like, evil and/or a psychopath
And the girls are all like shafted or whatever, and he's outright basically admitted he's just manipulating them
I have a really mixed opinion on this anime after watching the whole s1 in 2 days
Like obviously we had a bunch of episodes that were really bad, ep 7, ep 8, and ep 9-12 were kinda mediocre too, and ep 1-3 and ep 4-6 were kinda meh as well
And somehow this has a s2 and a s3. i can only hope s2 will be better and justify all this time i spent watching s1
Hoooooooo Ayanokoji is SO FUCKING COLD BRO I can’t believe bro had everything planned out from when Ibuki joined their class and shit
Class C is stupid asf but willing to do anything to win even take beatings from their leader to fool the other classes if that isn’t dedication idk what is💀
Horikita is such a Tsundere bro shit kills me im happy she’s talking more and being more open towards Ayanokoji😊
But fr tho those last lines were cold as shit this guy Ayanokoji thinks of everyone as a tool which is what I luckily guessed when he said he didn’t view Horikita as an ally or the rest of the class as well, either way I wonder what bros backstory is and what he did to end up with a fucked up mind like that?🧐👀🔥
The ending 12 episode was very good. I would raise it to 8/10, but still anime lacked lots. It was only good at hiding the secret plots of each class and had average fanservice. The OP and ED were one of the worst I've seen so -1 point from me, it makes 7/10.

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P
I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)
There it is!!! The ending still gave me chills, I love it. Ayanokouji really was the star of this season and I can only hope this continues in the next ones now that we finally got sequels. I do want other characters to become very important but with how this season went, I would expect that to happen.
The plan was great and everyone's reaction was priceless. I guess Ibuki really was the enemy.
So it seems Ichinose is so nice to everyone just so she can get to class A, I honestly forgot this part, but that's very interesting, I can't wait to see more development.
Overall, still like this season just as much and I can't wait to watch the others and see what is going to happen.

Come on man, where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece. We want it, Bones!
Final episode of COTE ended very good i gotta say. As a LN reader there are of course disappointment here and there but from an anime only perspective it was very good i'll give it that. The final moment Ayanokoji thinking how humans are just tools looked great.
i like the manipulative animes which makes me think about the possibility , this is kind of motivating for Mr personally to work hard whereas so just relaxes me
What a grand final of the special exam, ayanokoji orchestrated and manipulated everything since when they were at the ship right after chabashira-sensei told him about his dad trying to get him expelled. I know ayanokoji was genius but of this level of intelligence I didn't expect, he alone is the Elite of this classroom. The last scene where horikita acting tsundere toward him and blushing was really cute considering how much of a emotionless girl she was since episode 1, unfortunately ayanokoji's true self don't need friends or allies for reaching his goal, as long as he remain victories that's all that matters.
Season 1 of classroom of the elite was great, and it's definitely get me hooked on this series. I love ayanokoji's ruthless harsh personality which he hide behind his bland normal face, it's hard to believe that he's a high-school kid but I guess that's what makes him unique since he grew up in some kind of special place.I love the characters of this series especially the girls who are extremely thicc and their fan service are top tier, sakura was the best girl of the 1st season. Nonetheless it was a very good anime. 8/10
First full season of an anime that I’ve watched in years and it’s a rewatch, I just wanted to jot some thoughts on the final scene of the season that I found interesting.
I found it pretty nuts, I’m not sure whether I feel good or bad about it. The entire season we learn about Horikita’s avoidant, self-sufficient character and how she holds maladaptive beliefs about relationships being a symptom of weakness and all these things. The final scene showcases a big moment of development for her when she says the most vulnerable thing she has with another person in the entire show; that she considers him an ally and that she appreciates him. For her character that was a huge moment and the scene itself was also quite sweet.
Ayanokoji’s inner monologue then COMPLETELY switches the tone of this scene by stating that he has not once considered her an ally and how he considers all other people a means to an end (“tools”). Insane moment. We are led on to believe throughout the show that he has some heart and empathy, considering that he is always crediting Horikita with his schemes, how he stopped the other dudes from peeping, and all these things. That final monologue completely shattered that image we had of him.
And I’m not sure how to feel about it? I think I liked him more before this scene where he basically comes out the viewer as a sociopath. Nevertheless, I think that being revealed as a sort of plot twist was pretty damn cool.
Was super fun to rewatch one of my faves after all these years :)

@LittleJess A fave rewatch is fun, especially if it's just as great as you remembered, or the quality doesn't diminish on a rewatch
The writing isnt bad, but not great. Leaves plenty to be desired; intellectually not very stimulating either for something "elite". A lot of the series requires suspending logic and just focusing on the fact its an anime to waive away oddities. Overall, not bad though, the average person would enjoy it.
Hold on so Class C guessed 2 out of 3 leaders and still ended up with zero points? Or how did that work? I feel like the math might be a bit off lol but tbh I can't be bothered to go back and check their points. After all that scheming and work, Class C ended up with zero points, but I think they're going to get some of Class A's points or something?
Cool way to end this I guess... but this show was kind of a let down tbh. Ayanokoji somehow managed to outsmart everyone, including agent 47 himself, most likely ruining his reputation, and made Class D a bigger target for Class C. I like this sort of stuff, but idk it just felt a little weak to me.
12 episodes and we really don't know much about Ayanokoji at all, other than the fact that he may have been a part of some experiment when he was younger, and someone on the outside wants to get him expelled. Even though Ayanokoji had no intention of ascending to other classes, he refuses to be expelled, so he'll do whatever it takes to Class A. Why couldn't we have focused on this a bit more?
That whole arc with Sakura felt weak, and there were 2 filler episodes. Sure, one had some fanservice which I liked, but I think I would've preferred if this show had focused on the main plot more.
I think I'm going to give this a 7, but even that is pushing it a little. This show really grabbed my attention at the start, but I feel like with each episode I was less and less interested. There was the Sakura arc, then the "beach" filler episode, and then another filler episode with the class on the cruise. I think I only really liked 5 or maybe 4 episodes in this show, so yeah I'd say 7 is really pushing it, but I liked this enough to not give it a 6, but definitely not enough to give it an 8. I will say that I am interested in watching the next season. After those two filler episodes I didn't think I would be, but I think I'm like just barely interested enough to bother with the second season.

@Alkimia yeah someone sharing my exact thoughts for the first season. That said I'd really recommend you surely check out the second season. The intrigue really picks up there and every episode is more exciting than the last till the end. It has a find class d mastermind+Ryueen vs Ayanokouji arc which build up was great and pay off was well done. It's since became a fan favorite arc among anime onlies like me. Some parts can feel weirdly rushed or mushed, as I have come to expect from this anime, but the plot is more streamlined and experience is worth it IMO
While the MC handle the situation properly it was obvious they will change the leader and cause everyone else to lose the point and guess the leader of other group correctly. I don't see why the Anime make it seem like we won't have guess it. Anyway, it was a very enjoyable show even though the MC to edgy for my liking.
The ending was quite good and how he turns the tables at the last was impressive and the cliffhanger about hhis mysterious past. Overall enjoyed it well and rewatched to watch the new season
