| There's no such thing as "instrumental song", you must have singing for a song along the instruments. Tho you can go without instruments, singing acapella. When you have only instruments it's called simply instrumental. |

| @Deathko Yeah it's why this track has been stuck in my head recently. And I checked, it turns out it was your thread that I commented on, too, haha. Not that I needed much of a reminder, anyway. Even though I haven't seen NGE, this is such an awesome, iconic track that it stuck with me ever since I first heard it. It still pops up in my head sometimes, when I picture "battle theme" with troops lining up and machinery firing on all cylinders. |
| I have multiple favourite tracks in my instrumental playlist; but since you stipulated only one, I'll post the first track in the playlist. Nanami's theme is fittingly enchanting, whimsical, and the use of the angklung to both start and cap off the track perfectly invokes that familial sentimentality that rears its head every so often during the course of the story. |

| I absolutely love this song, always have, always will. Trivia fact, it's the most used background song in the show. What's probably a close second. I also just need to mention that Inu Yasha and Rurouni Kenshin had so many brilliant instrumental songs throughout their runs. As collectives, these two shows are amazing. |

| @deg Yup, so good. The battle music in that show was amazing. Plus you even had songs with sax solos in them. It was really awesome. One reason the remake has fallen flat for me is the drop in quality of music. |
