Not going to lie, that dog has a funny looking face. Kinda "manly" like for a dog. Maybe he can become another mascot for the team.

Social media is such a funny thing in this show.

Another fun episode with some funny and sweet scenes, and it was fulfilling to get a Ruriko x Murata dedicated segment.

Ruriko was late for her job and got chewed out by Nakaizumi for oversleeping. That dog had a seriously scary-looking face that terrified Ruriko, but slowly and surely, she was able to bond with him despite her many failed attempts to keep him away.

Ruriko had some teasing moments with Murata as they shared a fun little chat. Ruriko was searching for Murata while, in the background, he was looking for her. Once she learned he was looking for her, she was feeling it. Is their ship finally moving? If so, then let's go!

It would be understandable if they were feeling grim from a ringtone, but from a phone call? What kind of PTSD have they gone through to feel that? But the episode ended with some really big happy news from Yuki, which explains Ruriko calling out how Yuki had softened up. Kojirou's going to be a father. Looks like the dude's doing well both in the ballpark and in bed.

Ruriko literally sparkled today when she was thanking Murata by name.

"Um... eh... uh... er... Right. Later." Understandable response.

One of my fave Murata and Ruriko interactions this week. That blush when she thanked him for looking around the stadium for her was sooo sweet. The not recognising her in plain clothes fiasco seems so far away now lol

“give it your best papa” ahhh Kojiro and his wife are legit one of my fave parts of this show I love them sm!! We are all rooting for you Kojiro. Another great episode

"How can you oversleep for a night job?"
Try it, you'll like it.

The face on that dog.

Poor dumb Ruriko did not use her phone to call someone about the dog.

"Everything I do just gets me in deeper."
Yep, that is the way with women.

Hopefully if they try to get together, they will connect better than they did today.

If your are wondering about the 7-hole, 2-hole, etc part of the player captions, that is their slots in the starting batting order.

The dog: You know what this face means, right? 😏

Never knew a dog could be burned down, too. Especially a Husky

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Shinzo Abe smiles in the distance.

First segment, big friendly dogs are the best. That face is very weird in this art style, however.

Second segment, it had never occurred to me that Ruriko hadn't learned Murata's name until now. The addition of the Motorsuns towel has turned this into a test of how many accessories Ruriko can stack.

Third segment was good feels all around. It was nice to hear the players' motives for winning the championship, and the leadup to the baby reveal was well done. (Kojiro's wife not buying beer, Show Your Sun/Son...)

Poor Ruriko got grilled several times this episode lol, it happens tho, you can try your best to be a great employee but sometimes it’s unavoidable, although it looks like here Ruriko just didn’t get enough sleep, which also happens sometimes lol. The bit with Tommy the dog was adorable tho, even dogs get tired of going to work, and it was also here I learned that a baseball dog is even a thing, cute but also kinda cheesy, at least Ruriko showed Tommy a good time before he had to return to his owners.

Now that bit was cute, but the best bit of the episode imo was the one between Ruriko and Murata when they missed each other a bunch, it was unfortunate for the two of them to need to pretty much comb the whole stadium looking for each other but their reunion was so sweet, very heartwarming stuff, I hope there’s more of that in the last three episodes. And the final bit was also a really good one, the morale of the team was inspiring, Dennis is still in love with his baseball goddess lol, but I never expected the reason Yuki was spam calling Kojiro’s phone was because they were having a baby, I didn’t make the connection at first but that would be a good reason for Yuki to deny a beer lol, I guess Kojiro is out there batting for one more person now.

@LordCrueltyV Ruriko didn't even need a phone to call about the dog. She was listening to them talk from the hallway. She could have raised her voice a little to get their attention.

@Sekiro94 That's exactly how I feel about it. It doesn't feel misplaced anywhere. Murata finally took notice a little this episode. I really doubt anything will come from it, but it doesn't feel unnatural like a lot of other shows.

Nothing will likely come out of it but their interactions as a rom com works way better than most romance this season.
I'd believe it if you told me these characters will start dating or even become good friends.

Ah yes, there was was a time where I was late for my evening stadium job due to dozing off in the middle of the day. Lucky I made it just in time before the doors open. Lol.

The situation with lost mascot dog reminds me how during the event we have to let BASE know when a guest enters the building with a service animal by getting their seating location and which gate they used to enter the building. BASE will use the information to let building control know that there is an animal on the building's concourse.

When we find a lost item, we usually turn it in to the Guest Service Center or Security which is what Ruriko should have done instead of looking for Murata which is nearly impossible in a huge stadium.

That dog had such a human expression: completely exhausted from work. I understand you, puppy and Ruriko Sometimes I don't feel like working either.

This was one of the best interactions between Ruriko and Murata. She finally knows her name, and it's adorable to see her blush at what Murata did, all for only 100 yen.

And the big news: Kojirou is going to be a father! There's no doubt he's going to be an amazing father. By the way, interesting fact: Rika Tachibana, the seiyuu who plays Yuki Takino (Kojirou's wife), is married in real life to Kenya Wakatsuki, a professional baseball catcher for the Orix Buffaloes of Nippon Professional Baseball.

This was my favorite episode so far especially the interaction between Ruriko and Murata. Ruriko realizing that Murata was looking for her to give her the extra 100 yen coin made her blush, it was a smooth move by him. Also, Ruriko being late for a night job was pretty funny so it's a given that she's a night owl (not sure if that's typical of gyarus but it wouldn't surprise me).

Ruriko best gyaru i saw in animes. Its such a fun to watch her. If its only her 24 min of ep i wouldnt mind especially with Murata. Its shame only 12 ep we have for season and i bet we wont get another seasons. Tbh i thought before starting this will be below average show but man i love thiss so much. Its probably cuz every part of anime is kinda different nothing feels like drag and there is realistic stuff from real life that happens here more often. And i love this old school kinda romance where nothing is rushed even if there is not conclusive happy ending romance ik they like eachother and author left everything like that for us so we can only imagine their happy ending.

This is overdramatic to the max. The art and animation are fine; perfectly serviceable. It's an easygoing baseball Slice of Life sitcom. It doesn't have nor need to have the budget and visual ambitions of some action summer blockbuster released in cinemas. For budget TV anime it's about what's expected.

Ruriko being late for work and being scolded by Nakaizumi is quite depressing, though that doesn't speak more volumes than a dog staring at her. In truth, he's the Siberian Husky baseball dog Tommy that has Ruriko all held up in the women's changing room, and his trainer Sasaki and the others trying to find it. And within the short span of time that Ruriko connected with Tommy, there defintely was a semblance of feeling between both human and animal. But too bad, Ruriko always dozes while she can...

Well, Ruriko finds a MotorSun merch accessory so that Murata can better identify her, though Murata has one of his: a MotorSuns wallet that he unexpectedly left in the ballpark, much to Ruriko's dismay that she couldn't find him to return his wallet. In the end, Murata end up coming as when Ruriko was clocking out of her work, which she is compensated 100 yen short. And even to the extent that Murata is also trying to look for her and missing out each other, have those feelings begin to fly?

The MotorSuns' campaign as they enter the finale Climax Series run, with a new slogan and morale making it to the playoffs, no one feels the pressure more like captain Kojiro. from the call from his wife to the motivation of the team, he's finally become a father. Well done to him, both in the pitch and in the bed...

Having pushes always help for the best!

@WatchTillTandava You're the one exaggerating. Compare the animation in this episode to the previous one — also, many of the scenes felt random, and a lot of frames were sped up just to skip proper animation.

Anyway, this is just my opinion, and I’ve watched the entire show and praised it in every previous episode. Just because I criticized this one doesn’t mean I’m attacking the whole show — it’s just that this episode had noticeably bad animation and art.
