Kowloon Generic Romance
| I'm sorry, I really tried, but I just started episode 3 and I feel how I really have to force myself to watch this. It's just too boring, to make things simple. The setting is too static, I dislike how we're not told about the basic setup of the world even though the characters know, and I hate how the 2 main characters behave. Why does the dude act all blushy and embarssed at the start of episode 3 when before he already french kissed her? Hate this writing. Everyone who likes this, have fun. Unfortuantely, it's a no for me. Very bad season for anime, now only Lazarus and Vigilantes remain in my list :( |

| Well, it's my favorite series of the season (thus far anyway) out of around 15 seen. I don't know why you or anyone would want to be "told about the basic setup of the world" in just a dull straightfoward expository fashion right off the bat as early as three episodes in when it's a series which makes it quite clear from episode one is going to have heavy mystery elements and rely on an atmosphere of mystery as well as Slice of Life and interpersonal relationship drama and romance. This is the kind of series I wish was and would love for it to go on much longer than what it's actually scheduled for with its one cour 13 episode run. Imagine the series in the past with many dozens or hundreds of episodes, and answers or reveals to various things weren't given for a very very long time. Certainly long after episode three into them. Oftentimes the question or aspect the answer would be meant to address wouldn't even be raised at that point, so early into the game it is. Anyway, see you on another sub-forum. |

Oh, anyone should drop anything at any time they’re not enjoying it…I don’t mean to imply otherwise. Just that it seems to be a sad trend that if any piece of media doesn’t deliver instant gratification, it gets dumped. Or at least it feels that way.
I also just don’t really get making a post announcing that you’re dropping a show, but maybe that’s just me🤷🏼

| Well, this show wasn’t as interesting as I thought it would be. I would be lying if I say I'm really enjoying it. But I don’t find it boring at least, so gonna continue anyway |

| Vibing with the atmosphere of an anime is very important, there's not much we can do when we don't. For example, I didn't vibe with Fantastic Children so I was extremely bored by it, and I would have still been extremely bored by it even if it had the best writing in the world. Have you tried: To be hero x ? If not, it might be but your alley. It has beautiful visuals ( for me at least) and the story line hooked me from episode 1. Since you're watching vigilantes, I figured you might like this one because it's also super hero based.
By the way, it's ok if you drop an anime you're not that into. We all have different tastes and if it's not working for you, drop it and move onto something else you enjoy. With limited free time these days, it's best to watch something you enjoy than something you dislike.

| Potentially my AOTY, but I also don’t think it’s the kind of story everyone would like. It’s a melancholic, character-driven sci-fi romance that leans on subtle hints for you to piece together the characters and mystery. I think it’s the kind of story that really pays off once you’ve seen the whole thing, or if you like picking apart the details and making predictions episode by episode with other people. It really asks you to empathize with the characters and linger with them in their feelings. If you can’t connect to them, it probably won’t be all that fun. |
