Loved the argument Abiko and the other manga artist (i cant remember their name). Was worried but relieved when it was just banter. Wish manga artist could give Abiko a big hug for me. THIS SHIT IS GETTING GOOOOD.
Hopefully Aqua's plan will work.

Great episode, we get to see why Abiko was so furious about the script and I liked the way they showed it through a insult-back and forth while they tried to finish the manga chapter. I'm really interested in Abiko's character and the what happens behind the manga-theater part of the entertainment industry

At first, Abiko was presented as mad but we become sympathetic to her. After all, her mentor's worked was butchered.

With Aqua gaining insight on how plays are run, it looks like we are close to a breakthrough.

Kana faces <3

Also, like others I've been waiting for the Abiko-Yoriko arguing scene to be adapted. They totally nailed it. I almost cried when Abiko-sensei confessed that she hated how bad the Sweet Today adaptation was, it being her favourite manga of all time.

This series has really high production values.

Ruby wants to get busy with work, but can’t because of Arima‘a schedule. Aqua is thoroughly impressed by the stage around theatre. He learns it’s another work of Raida and GOA. Which makes him understand that Abiko wouldn’t be able to pull off a script suitable for this theatre setup. He understands that the problem lies in miscommunication.

Aqua and the other cast meet Kichijouji to help reason with Abiko. But I can understand all her concerns and how she wants to draw a line to not interfere with others’ works.

Kichijouji went to meet Abiko and damn, they started bashing each other with words. Shouting and teasing and dissing, that was funny. In the end, she gave Abiko the ticket Aqua gave, hoping it would change her mind.

Akane and Aqua's date was cute. I like them both. Also, we saw the struggles of a manga artist in this industry on weekly deadlines. I feel bad for all authors sometimes but at the same time, it isn't always the producer's fault either that your show ended up like that. I feel her tho.

This episode was definitely a step up, Akane and Aqua and then the back and forth with the two female mangaka. Ruby meanwhile just annoyed me. Her story has always been less interesting for me than Aqua anyway, doesn't look like will change so far. Of course she has no part of Aqua's little side project so makes sense.

The harsh life of a manga artist especially weekly ones are worse. Nice to see it in anime itself.

Creators are humans too, what a beautiful episode between 2 mangakas duking it out and exposing each other's weakness that came around to accepting their own faults.

God what a hateful character, I don't know how to relate to others, buu buu, I'm an egomaniac, buu buu, but since I'm a genius I forgive everything, when we've all seen how the industry isn't like that, we've all seen great manga adapted horribly, great mangakas who from the beginning get involved in the project so that everything goes relatively as they want, how many great works have been reduced to commercial whims, but since she is a "I am different, introverted and unique" she misses everything, this had already been presented in Shirobako

This episode gives me Bakuman flashbacks especially with the part about pressuring the mangakas to not end their work. This is pretty much Aka and Mengo's self-inserts ranting about their RL experiences, and I love it.

Excellent ark that never bored me. I did fear at the beginning that the animation couldn’t keep up with season 1, but this certainly had its moments. Can’t wait for the season finale. (Oshi no Ko deserved better than Hidive)

Well, it's understandable that the author is going crazy with this hardcore Oda type schedule where she sleeps 2h max per day for her Jigokuraku rip-off manga LMAO, at least things are getting better in the end, meanwhile Aqua is learning and growing

That episode was so good. Very cute argument that was much needed to finally communicate bottled-in feelings, and to hold each other accountable, or help each other to grow better.

The show has been so good so far with all the grounded and realistic but touching insights and moments.

Seems like we're building up to the author's character development. The scriptwriter might not be kicked off the project after all.

The way they hyped up the Stage Around thing made me thought that I need to experience it at least once in my life. Alas, it's said on Wikipedia that it was closed five months ago.

Abiko and Yoriko sure gave it as good as they got it when it came to that debate over the manga creative process. It's good that she has someone she can see as an equal, who can also take her banter! Aqua was so smart to give Yoriko that ticket to give to Abiko, hopefully this will cause a change in her perspective.

I never heard about 360° theater before, I like it when I learn new stuff

But looking about this "IHI Stage Around Tokyo" I've seen it closed in April 2024 though, it was probably too costly to do, or are they rebranding it ? Are others places doing it like this ?

I seriously dislike Yoriko. She literally let them do whatever they want with her manga while she acts like like an ass to Melt, he did nothing wrong, being a bad actor doesn't mean he deserve the author's strong dislike, I found hypocritical her stance, if she really wants others to let whatever they want with her manga, she needs to stop being a bitch towards a single actor.

Getting to this, man I loved both the exposition behind the process and the drama between the two mangaka’s!

also makes me wonder what aka and mengo would say, but I suppose they already said it all with the manga

I really love the dynamic between Yoriko and Abiko, and I appreciate Aqua's observations regarding the whole rewrite debacle. Only Yoriko could console Abiko due to their mentor/student relationship, working the exact same industry, experienced the exact same hardships, worked on the exact same manga serializations, and know each other well, both in terms of each other's works and as individuals. I love how Yoriko immediately recognized the reasons behind Abiko's horrid living conditions, her state of mind, and the inevitable end result of her current lifestyle. Not only that, I love how Yoriko initially starts by speaking out of a place of stern concern, forcing her way into Abiko's work studio and speaking purely out of experience. When Akibo responded in hostility, criticizing Yoriko's success, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved how she fired back, criticizing how Akibo's writing succumbed to readership opinions rather than keeping with her original vision. I could watch a whole episode on their back and forth banter. They're both professional mangaka and can trash talk each other fluently in the language of mangaka. The difference is Yoriko truly does have more experience, both as a person and as a professional, so Akibo had to relent.

Regardless of the profession, I'm always fascinated to listen to people talk passionately about what they love. It's interesting to hear how they live their lives, and why they continue doing the things they do. Oshi no Ko continues to be interesting in this regard, as it features more and more different people in different segments of their respective entertainment media.
