As the party ventures deeper into the labyrinth, they reach an area where the icy walls gleam like mirrors, amplifying the mind games. Kouki is the first to fall prey to the labyrinth’s tricks, and soon, the tormenting hallucinations affect everyone.

Despite taking a brief rest, the strange phenomena persist, and their attacks, meant for the enemy, begin to turn against their allies.

I hate this hero, always spreading the idea of not killing, but when his emotions get out of control, he tries to kill the protagonist out of jealousy! 🤦‍♀️

Sucks episode 12 is now delayed until January 20th, 2025.
Kouki was pretty annoying this episode as always going crazy.
That scene around 13:50 was pretty cool with everyone unleashing their attacks.
The scene around 19:30 with Yue trying to ship off Kaori with Shizuku was hilarious.
Hajime was smart at the end faking giving in to draw out the voice.
This was the last ongoing anime episode for me this year for 2024! Ended off strong. Cheers to 2025 anime year!

Last ep of the year and for a while since ep 12 is delayed till the 20th! Happy new year everyone! We went out with a nice bang today. Loved the focus on Shizuku in this episode and hopefully she’ll finally start putting herself first, and her own desires before those of others. That flashback was pretty sad, I mean her whole life has just been her being a “yes woman” to everything everyone else wants. Stand up for yourself and go for Hajime!!

The last couple labyrinths have presented some cool challenges for the cast by having them confront their inner demons and insecurities. Nice opportunity here for some more growth from everyone, especially Kouki and Shizuku. Kouki in particular been neglected in this show so I’m looking forward to that!

Also lmaoo at Yue calling out Shizuku and Kaori for being gay af. At the very least they’re bi as hell for each other.

More walking past the same backgrounds, more trash party, more PTSD. Aren't labyrinths just the greatest?

The ice knights looked pretty good when they actually showed up. This time, the corner they cut was having the enemy off screen for most of the fight and just having the characters shoot into thin air. Speaking of shooting, these guys keep reflecting all of our projectile attacks (not MC's rockets though, because why would they), so let's keep using the same ones!

Nagumo's inner demons should have played along and confronted him over being cringe. That would have turned out hilarious, probably.

Next up is a cour check. Gotta see how this holds up against Winter's Monday titles.

Last time its already the last labrynth
A bit late to say i think(?)
Tbh the other op for s1 and 2 maybe
Like because s3 has two op it feels like they put less effort into each of them?

Also Im not sure if its just me or the story is written this way it feels like they were saving the budget for some

EDIT: Seems like arifureta wont be back for awhile thats uhh something
Didnt they already skip one week previously or something
Maybe some timeslot thing?

This was well written episode, it mask sense they should attack their "rivals", but only thing is, why Shizuku attack Shea?

Anyways, I love this series.

I also like that Nagumo didn't doubt "Amanogawa", but was trusting that he was telling the truth.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@CocoaGalaxy I didn't really understand your comment, but I liked the opening / ending theme music for this episode.

I usually always skip the OP & ED music, because it doesn't interest me, but this anime always good music.

Getting really sick of dungeons instead of actual plot. Starting to get flashbacks to when Reincarnated as a Slime had its conference table arc.

I enjoyed the rabbit rebellion, but other than that this season has been a significant downgrade from prior seasons.

This labyrinth is basically one of schizophrenia and jealousy. From Kouki, it was entirely expected—the guy is incredibly annoying, and it was obvious he’d succumb to his inner voice and attack Hajime. Kaori's situation was also predictable, but Yue's reactions during her attacks were absolutely hilarious.

However, I didn’t expect Shizuku to act out, let alone attack Shea. That caught me off guard. On the bright side, this might push her to be more honest with herself. She might even team up with Kaori to face off against the Yue-Shea duo in the battle for a spot in the harem!

@amf85 At Slime's they were just talking at the table, and here at least something is happening. Additionally, there are some plots of the other characters (which is at least for me) a plus

@Omega1Mastemon I wasn't making a direct comparison of content, I was comparing to another anime that was fun until it had a really weak season.

This song basically describes this episode in a nutshell

That being said, I like Shizuku's flashback exploring her about how she's caring for others. Also, the trial basically focus on mental attack having to fights while being distracted with their mental issues. And Hajime having to admit how much of a chunni he is. (Trust me dude, and it ain't just the looks) Overall, I enjoyed this episode.

I really love that new ED 😭😭😭
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Why is Kouki such a weakling? He can’t even handle the most basic attacks and is always the first to fall for tricks and succumb to the pressure. Everyone else gets hit, but they handle it well. It sucks that we now have a delay and have to wait until the 20th for episode 12. What a disaster. At least we have a lot of quality anime coming out to pass the time. End of rant.

A better question might be why are not many of the summoned students total wreck. They a teen age high school students ripped out of their life and home world and dumped in a violent chaotic world with monsters, demons, evil so called gods playing death game with them, treachery (with many of their leadership training, and support figures from the kingdom being wiped out and all them being stabbed {litteraly} in the back that episode), murder, undead/necromancy, and assorted other horrors. You might expect a fair portion of them sobbing and cowering in an asylum. And, Kouki is randomly assigned a leadership duty to boot. No pressure.

Hajime just bluntly saying what his whispers were about and his cringe reaction to his edgelord reflection was amusing rofl.

The rest feels like it's just dragging at this point. Kouki continues to suck ya he's jealous blah blah blah and I'm starting to get tired of Shizuku's slow progress over going after what she wants.

Kouki just needs to go be whats-her-name's little boy toy already, since she already surgically extracted his spine. There are characters you hate and want to see their comeuppance, and then there are characters you just want off your screen in the most expedient manner possible. Guess which one Kouki has been for the entirety of this season.

Hajime got his strength through the ordeals he went through surviving on his own with a skill that was seen as useless. The rest of his classmates had it easy with their cheat-like powers compared to him. Now the roles are reversed with Hajime being a literal demi-god/god leading them around like sheep. Their pride has been their downfall and now they’re playing catch-up to an OP Hajime. Remember, he’s been through literal hell compared to all of them, they have no excuses for being this weak. As for Kouki, yes, he’s been placed in a leadership role. Yet, it’s one that he embraces because he thinks he's better than everyone. After all, he has the title of “Hero.” He is too goddamn vain to see that he has the title and nothing else to support it skill/power-wise. He’s a complete mess and useless in most situations. He likes to pretend to be the glue binding the team together, but he’s nothing but a hindrance. The sooner he realizes that the better off he will be. Hajime is doing all of them a favor by training them in the labyrinths, but Kouki seems to be forever pushing back and spitting in the face of that kindness. He needs to swallow his pride and understand that nothing will change the power dynamic of the team. He will never be a leader.

This episode is pretty good, inside voice is most dangerous to you, specially when your guard is down. This voice could make you insane for 5min, normally there have no person which can hurt you with words, but the voice deep inside you will say perfect words to hurt you; to make you miserable; to see the life pointless; depends of your complexes.

Be aware of your inside voice!

Good writing for this episode. Kouki may be annoying in this episode but he having a huge complex to fight inside of his soul. You know the life is not only pink and flowers, the life is everything, sometimes you need to taste any color to understand the life.

ps. I stay strong, if you understand what I'm saying.

Not the best animation again but at least the plot was a little more interesting. I'd really like to see more character arcs of them confronting their insecurities and hidden feelings like we started to see with Shizuku here, especially Kouki. I think this setup can lead his character to grow in a really interesting way and would be great to watch. Also would like to see more Suzu; if that little slip of the tongue last episode is a small taste of what kind of feelings could be repressed? Damn.

Shizu-shizu really just flipped that golem over lmao

Here's my hypothesis on this episode
--------------------------------------------

Amanogawa is jealous of Nagumo because Nagumo is so reliable

Shijuku is jealous of Shea because Shea is so free-spirited and doesn't hesitate to hide her feelings

Kaori is jealous of Yue because Yue became the lover and most precious to Nagumo before her

The Schnee Snow Fields's deep labyrinth has laid out a death sentence for Kouki getting hallucinations, but this could be privy to just about anyone not aware of hearing voices of themselves and just their ears ringing endlessly. But this seems the most excessive for Shizuku hearing her past and present tribulations, as much as Kouki is psychologically under attack from the same entity as well.

And when it comes to pure monsters, the labyrinth's hard ice monsters once again prove even more challenging, and the tricky maneuvers just to stay alive in the great labyrinth, every nook and cranny is to be expected of its unpredictability.

The effect finally coming to Hajime, how will he deal with the unsightly reflection?

Kouki needs to get a hold of himself, how can he even call himself a hero with his pathetic will.

Hajime calling himself an edge-lord and tricking his reflecting to show itself was hilarious.

Not all of them f$cking gaslighting him. Bro either it's psychic or he's schizo but saying he's imagining it or "just nervous" is a horrible way to respond.
At least the MC is being reasonable. Tbf your own voice wouldn't sound that familiar as you don't hear your own voice the same way other people do.
This show is so allergic to character development that in the episode that is basically screaming for it, they still don't do it.
Well I guess maybe next episode here's hoping. But for real like as a show how are you gonna shit on characters like Koki for like 3 seasons straight but never have any kind of change or improvements there have been so many moments that should have been pivotal moments, like I dunno his stalker killing his classmate and poisoning him with SA.
Like at this point the only way to redeem him is for him to actually kill Eri, I just know that it's not really gonna happen though. But like why even have him here then if you're not gonna do anything with the character. I'd say the other guy is worse but at least they pretty much just completely ignore him and give him 0 attention. Which also sucks but like "fair enough" but Koki they give a bunch of attention but it never results into anything.

Agreed tbh, I'll be the first to say I dislike Kouki, but their response was terrible. It's clear that something abnormal is happening to him, whether it is his imagination or something else and they are literally in a labyrinth and literally just experienced mind attacks from the last one! Staring blankly at the dude and repeatedly rejecting what he is clearly hearing is the worst possible response you can muster in the situation. Yaegashi telling Kouki she doesn't doubt him right after asking a question that showed she doubted him is like ??? Since this is clearly the effects of the labyrinth and not just some random regression out of nowhere, I am ok with it and hope they finally tackle and put to rest Kouki's ego and inferiority complex towards Hajiime.

Things also turn towards a Yaegashi spotlight, hopefully she can be more true to herself after this.
