That was pretty much expected, and I knew that was going to be the case as soon as episode 9 got delayed seeing that it is 15 episodes long, and if they were behind schedule, there was no chance it was going to get finished anytime soon. This makes logical sense in a lot of ways seeing that I would rather studios wait until they are at post-production or very close to it before airing it.

From my very limited knowledge 初春(shoshun) is February/March so at most we have to wait 2 months.

btw I have seen different JCstaff anime this year but i think the only one that did reach the end line without big troubles/production woes was 2.5 jingen no ririsa.

Delico Nursery was delayed multiple times,Over Do damisel was struggling a lot, Fairy tail was mostly outsourced at another studio, Danmachi is postponed , Magilumiere was an outsourcing mess (i think JC produced only two episodes?) ect

Also https://x.com/SaeIssho/status/1872730351770218820 it seems that the Animation producer for Danmachi is the same one of Fairy tail and Tsukimichi which means this poor team had to do 65 episodes in like 1 year and a half.This would explain the Fairy tail situation and why that many episodes were outsourced

Edit: Also another producer had 3 anime this fall as well (Maou2099, Mahohare and another one) which is madness. JC is truly a mess.

I have no problem with them delaying the remaining episodes for a couple of months if it means that we get the best possible quality.

BUT what I don´t get, is how brain dead the studio handled this situation. This season had 3 parts: introduction/date | freya shenanigans | war game. Why the fuck didn´t they simply end after the second part, just before the war game starts. The had the chance to make a smooth cut after episode 9 and an even better outro with the end of episode 10.
Cut after 10, produce a one summary (episode 10.5), air it as a refresher in spring, and you a decent 6 episode long second cour.

But no they have to start the game and leave us hanging with this kind of cliffhanger. Just simply: BRAINDEAD

P.s.: Btw, I think someone actually wanted to do it this way because I found it strange that episode 10 had this short summary at the start.

If this means that they will work on upgrading the quality of the animation and direction after the mess that was Episodes 10 and 11 like 86 did then I'm fine with waiting... But this is JC Staff so my copium is non existent, I have a feeling they will just make it look like regular danmachi and call it a day because they have other shows to work on.

Episodes 1-9 were nice, not at the level of Season 4 with the pacing and some skipped content, but still good enough. But the adaptation of Volume 18 is so far disappointing, the war game preparations was a rushed mess (the conversation with Royman was butchered in particular) and the start of the War Game was also rushed and with disappointing animation. I get that this is partly because the production comitte fucked them up by only giving them 15 episodes, but they could have really improved the pacing by removing the OP and ED, and the recap too.

Hopefully the last 4 episodes really deliver, I really don't want another Season 3 fiasco.

@MorphoX That is what we don´t understnd. Why they are working in so many different animes when they have to take care of the one that bring them more popularity. Other animes like MahoNare and Magic girls Lumiere could wait (and I love both animes as well). But postponing episodes in the middle of the season is not professional at all. They should wait until the season is complete!

@Mione48 it's a more internal issue brother. You can see different producers for different anime. Some have aniplex, some have kadokawa and many more. They hire freelancer animators for those project. It's probably a coincidence for the studio to release that many at once because most of the anime completed the production before fall 24, maybe. And delaying an anime is nothing new. They only delayed Danmachi and another anime only.

They should just cancel the season, it wasn't any good to begin with so they might as well not even finish it. Great job ruining the series with horrid plot hole riddled writing and plot contrivances out the ass in order to try and make up for them. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
