This was quite the sluggish 90-minute premiere to the season to sit through after a very long day today. Decent end but this waned on me for quite a lengthy stretch, which to be fair, ahs always been an issue I had with Re:Zero even with other seasons with the older director too.

| amazing start to the season really good art and animation and what is that cliff hanger cant wait for the next episode Some LN Extra Details (Volume 16 Chapter 1-2) Part 1 - They are currently staying at Roswaal's newer main mansion which although similar, but is bigger than the mansion in the countryside. - Subaru referenced of Super Smash Brothers when he is telling Beatrice on thinking of a way to challenge Julius rather than directly against his talent. - Roswaal, Frederica and Petra will be going to western noble assembly to gain support, and Ram guarding the mansion and Rem - Garfield is weak with alcohol, so he drinks milk instead and Subaru is sticking to his old world principle to not drink it, so only Otto is drunk during their hangout. Garfield also often writes letter to Ryuzu during their freetime. - Ryuzus stayed at Earlam Village near old mansion to teach other Ryuzu replica the everyday way of life - Subaru and Beatrice had their own banters and plays around while driving during the trip to Pristella - It took them 12 days to reach Pristella. - Subaru is roasting the water dragon after being roared to like an outsider, then supported by Patlash. - After hearing about Hoshin's contribution to Kararagi style and techs, Subaru is certain that Hoshin is also an otherworlder like him and Al. He does wonder how the time gap happens between them on coming to this world - Beatrice was initally slightly attracted to Julius due to his blessing of attracting spirits. It is thanks to his blessing that he is able to form bond with his lesser spirits easily. - Missed out funny Garfield's reaction to Mimi's brothers' aggresion on him after bring dragged into the inn by Mimi - Liliana reminds Subaru the promise that he made to her, which is to be a hero and to tell the tale to her, though he feels that he is not there yet as of now. Differences from LN - The trio hangout scene comes first before the discussion with Roswaal in the LN - Julius is not there during their first encounter with Anastasia and his moment happens after the groups is inside the inn. - Liliana should already been familiar with Subaru's group since she did visit Roswaal's mansion for awhile before Arc 3 in Season 1, so the interaction is changed in the anime accordingly Some LN Extra Details (Volume 16 Chapter 3-5) Part 2 - After the encounter with man in white, Subaru stopped and turned around, seeing him turned at him and gazing straight at him after he passed the crossing. Subaru felt the gaze is creepy and still felt it until he he took corner and left the area - Subaru was surprised when Reinhard told Subaru that Felt actually recruit the whole trio and they are in the middle of reforming themselves. - Ferris mentioned Subaru's achievement with Great Rabbit although there are no proof. - Subaru apologizes to Ferris for ignoring his warning and breaking his gate. - After Ferris joked with Crusch about him having ulterior motive with her, Subaru realised that there are intense emotion in Ferris eyes and thought it might be his personal agony over the year with regret and anguish on what happend to Crusch. - When Subaru is strolling around at night, he was thiking about Reinhard and how to repay his debt to him as a friend before meeting Wilhelm. - Subaru's talk with Wilhelm at that night are deeper in LN and Wilhelm is awed by Subaru's opinion on doing the apology and not giving up on it, even when if you might get rejected or being weirded out at first. - Felt did not know that the trio stooges had been nicknamed by Subaru. Lachin = Chin (Larry), Gaston = Ton (Curly) and Camberley = Kan (Moe). Felt like that nickname as it seems fit on them. - More details and speculation on the complex situation of the Astrea family when Julius is talking to Subaru. Wilhelm is suspected on having a grudge and distrust against the Kingdom after his wife's death and quits being the Knight. Heinkel is suspected on being buttered up by the Kingdom to avoid him ordering Reinhardt to cause chaos when he he still following his order and after he is independent, the concern is still there incase the same thing can happen again. - Beatrice is really mad when Priscilla is insulting Emilia after Emilia's comment on her, but has been calmed down by her and Subaru. Differences from LN - In LN, Lachin's nickname is Larry. This is probably due to localisation, though I like Chin better. It just sounds funny xD. - Garfield's part is actually not in this volume. It is actually in the next volume and was brought upfront to keep the timing pace consistent by keep switching POV and without needing to rewinding the time. So i'll cover his part in the next episode or on next post if appropriate - In LN. Subaru is the one bringing up about fixing Wilhelm's relationship with Reinhardt, while in anime, Wilhelm seems to be the one bringing it up first. - In LN, it took 22 second for all people to fall slient on Sirius, but in anime it is 30 seconds |

| Holy fucking shit, that last scene was crazy. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely correct decision to make the 1st episode of this season an hour and 30 minutes, basically a whole movie. After almost 4 years, it helped us get reacquainted with the characters, especially the Royal Selection candidates whom hasn't gotten focus since season 1 and of course we got that absolutely spicy cliffhanger. So many things to talk about this episode, that I don't know what to talk about lmao. Okay, I guess first, Subaru and Beako's relationship now is so good and not just that, but all the people and allies surrounding him now too, after everything Subaru's been through, it's great, like his life is a bit more stable now (until the end, but let's not talk about that yet). Hearing Roswaal with his heehee ass tone again caught me off guard lmao, it's been a long time. Of course it was also great that we got the most amount of Felt screentime in like 8 years probably lmao. Then we got that Astrea Family Drama, damn, I didn't expect that family to be that complicated, was very happy for Wilhelm trying to reconnect with Reinhard, but Heinkel had to ruin it, really curious to know more about them. Oh shit, Garfiel's mom? Bro was already not having a good time and then this, Otto needs to be extra extra nice when he sees him. Also what's up with Garfiel seeing Elsa's ghost or something? Crusch and Felix! I don't know if I forgot to mention anything else important, but let's get to the meaty part, Goddamn Sirius. I wonder if her brain also trembles. The way that whole scene played out was so good, we didn't know they were already at the palm of her hands, then some voodoo doll shit later, bam, our first return by death in almost 4 years, I guess it's a year for Subaru. That's crazy, I'd be sick too, your head just popping out of nowhere, Jesus. But anyway, we're so fucking back. |

 Avoiding all those pesky spoilers was not easy, but it was well worth it. Given the last scene, I get the feeling that there's gonna be a lot of brain-trembling mind control witchcraft in this season. |

It's like the start of the game you die by being unskilled but at least in the last half you would most of the time die cause it's tough... |

I wonder if White Fox can sustain doing Sengoky Youko's second half of S2 and ReZero at the same time. It's not an easy thing even for bigger studios.
| @Sondfer Thankfully, the first 8 episodes of S3 have already been finished, and the latter 8 episodes are apparently close to being done as well. With the 2-month break in between, the production should be very sustainable and healthy. |

| The movie-length premiere was really worth it as we jump back into the world of Re: Zero and how messed up it can be. I do love the interactions between Subaru and Beatrice many times in this long episode. Same goes for Liliana and the way she sings her songs. Poor Subaru did learn a hard lesson as to not criticise her in public at all, otherwise the angry mob will punish him! XD Putting aside my dislike of Priscilla, it's nice to see the familiar faces from previous seasons appear again and get up to amusing antics, but also some more pressing moments. The main highlight was how brutal the scene was with Wrath and how everyone in the square died, including Subaru. I can't blame him for feeling sick after returning. I can only see it being more difficult for him from here on out. Overall, I really liked this episode. Production values seem pretty good for the most part and Konomi Suzuki's Reweave song sounds great. I look forward to the new MYTH & ROID song when it plays in the future. |

All the hype has turned out to be an air number in hindsight. Why, can't you just keep your feet still and wait to see how the season develops at all?

| @Nebucad it's more like, something called reputation. If you've read 3 volumes of berserk, you get a gist of what to expect and how the 4th volume will be, that's something re:zero has constantly delivered since it's release till the end of arc 4. Although yea it's true, arc 5 is a dip in quality compared to the previous arcs, still they're Hyped up. It's thier choice to change thier rating with Every Episode or Rate it all at once...... what's the problem? As for those who writing negative reviews, they're equivalent to non-existent if you don't respond to them. As for those who're rating it so high, they're just expecting something they've experienced before yk..... it'll keep on changing eps by eps, don't worry too much. |

| Re:Zero is back, And it's a masterpiece! Really, I've never enjoyed an episode as much as I've enjoyed this one!! They've really outdone themselves with this one!! ♥ ♥ Aaaaaaaaaaa sooo glad Re:Zero is back~ I only just finished re-watching season 1, And then afterwards watching Season 2 for the first time two weeks ago! I feel so lucky!! ♥ ♥ Plus, Ending Song is a 10/10 ! ♥ It's a really nice, Over hour long episode! ♥ |

| im glad we got longer ep for start after all the wait, i feel like they jumped topics again (esp with Garfiel) but nice to meet new characters and get to see first season characters again as well and bit of family vibe that was around for some scenes, i cant wait to see which way the story goes next with the ending we got. Im anime only, but somehow didnt notice the style changed until i read comments, but it didnt bother me at all, i enjoed this episode and i hope rest of arc wont dissapoit either and that characters after the year actually got stronger as the enemy seems more powerful than previous. |
