| Felt rushed imo. I know they tried to give more bonding moments in the season finale for Kaito and the others but felt like every other episode. Haruka turned out to be a much more important character, at least in the season finale. Plus, she and Kaito seems to have a special bond for this episode. Oh well, nothing much to be said for this anime overall, felt really average. |

| Kaito's rut is clearly being shown on his face, so much so that he comes confessing to Haruka the reason why he ventured the dungeon, all to vindicate her missing father for the 2 years ever since as a nobody. And despite so much opposition from said childhood friend fearing that she could lose her only friend, she knows that he's working hard to save people, case in point with Hikari. And at long last, she can finally release him to the dungeon to get the elixir, no matter how deep he'll need to go to get it, alongside the friends and loli warriors he met along the way to give support not just to him, but it's all for Hikari. Right from the 1st Floor, farming slimes altogether, plus Kaito's friends Shinji and Hayato, Kaito is no longer a nobody, but a hero in the eyes of the people. Even as they celebrate the coming of Christmas, the elixir is the hope remaining alive, and it all had to do with an unusual rainbow slime which proves harder than most to defeat given its agility. Kaito's party having it surrounded to finally defeat it, whilst bringing Hikari all the way from her hospital bed to the dungeon (like why???) for her to summon the healing servant of Fairy Queen Titania, it may be no elixir, but at her low-level Level 1 state to only do the best she could to cure her, and heal her she did to a degree not completely, but it's a work in progress to either find it, or have Titania learn Yggdrasil. The cucking moment of Kaito ALMOST getting his confession across to Haruka, I should have anticipated this, even though he will have chances in the future to do that and honour her wishes. But until then, it's more dungeon exploring for the mere nobody and his capable party. It's all good for a safe ending, but this show is just mediocre, almost pandering to the point of boredom. |

| This anime gave me a deeper appreciation for the manga adaptation. Teri Terio not only improved on the character designs by making the oppai even bigger, he also fixed the boring plot. The anime failed on both fronts. |

| I’m so glad that they didn’t spend half the episode trying to convince the MC to return to the dungeon like other shows, but had it that the girl he likes convinced him to continue, and that she likes him back. I did not like the “law of causality” talk, that makes it that people are forced into doing things because of “cause” not because of free will choices. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| This was a better finale than I thought it would be, I was worried that we’d spend half of the episode on Kaito’s newfound fear of the dungeon but that was thankfully over pretty fast, it was a good moment for Katsuragi too. And in order to have the best chances of finding the elixir, we’re back where we were when the show started, on the first floor killing slimes lol, I kinda like the full circle thing there, as well as all of Kaito’s friends plus servants coming together to maximize the grind, even Kaito’s guy friends showed up which is a first for them within the show. And after a while of grinding, they finally came across a rare rainbow smile, I kinda felt bad for the poor thing as they cornered it but it was a necessary sacrifice lol. And I was a bit surprised to see that what they found wasn’t the elixir but another loli servant, but I guess this way they now have a goal for the next part of the story as they continue searching for the elixir or grind the new loli Titania to fully heal Hikari, also can’t go wrong with more fun sized servants lol, a shame Titania appeared so late but I enjoyed the resident trio already. And that was it, my first show of the summer to end, and like I mentioned in a previous post, this was unfortunately my least favorite of Gekkou’s shows so far, and contrary to what another post in this thread says, I think Gekkou has been killing it up until this show, I rated all their stuff an 8 or 9, but they just didn’t win me over with this one despite how into it I was when it first started. I think the first sign of it not being very good was the censorship, it didn’t bother me personally but as time went on the show started to lose me with the not so good looking art and animation, as well as things like the dungeon floors being pretty plain, and I’m ngl I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Hikari plot either. However, there were things I enjoyed about it, I thought the world they were in was pretty interesting in the way society works with dungeons just being a natural occurrence with people making professions out of it, and of course I really enjoyed Sylphy and Luceria, Bellia was pretty good too but wasn’t as great as the OG duo, and I also liked Kaito as the MC, he may have been pretty plain but I thought he had good interactions with his pals and servants. I also really liked the ED by May’n, OP and 2nd ED were good too but May’n’s song was especially a jam, one I always looked forward to hearing this season. And once again, sad that Gekkou couldn’t keep the ball rolling with shows that hit very well with me, but I still love them as a studio and hope they can bring it back with their next show, only thing is tho they’re doing Maou-sama Retry Season 2 and i remember thinking the first season wasn’t that great lol, hopefully they’ll do it better. |

| Uh, am I the only one that noticed the active volcano behind the dungeon? Is no one in their town concerned with the black smoke it's putting out? You're child is sick? Maybe move from volcano town. I was surprised they didn't spend more time convincing Kaito to go back into the dungeon. Happy, but surprised. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see full size Titania before she shrinking to her chibi form like we did with Syl and Luce. Another surprise were Kaito's schoold friends at the end. What the hell were they gonna do at their levels with a wood sword and a baseball bat? I thought we'd see them still mining slimes (since they drop the rares) while the others go deeper. At least they'd get stronger. It was mid. I've seen both a lot better and a helluva lot worse. |

| they didn't even hide that they phoned the show in. I'm really glad we got to see kaito being a pussywhipped crying fuck for minutes, but no TITania. I don't think sylphy's massive tits would've saved this show. not for a second. valuable life lesson: if you want a girl to like you, tell her you've been lying to her for years, that you're risking your life for a different slut, and show her what a sobbing scared pussy you actually are. she got so turned off, she didn't want to hear his confession. half of the show was unnecessary padding, the art and animation sucked. they censored the designs, the ending was fucking nothing. even the music was lame. fucker was wearing a gimp suit. ...didn't the show outright show that his friends chickened out but kaito was such a badass he kept going despite the danger? I guess it's somehow different now that he has to risk his life for someone else? much more scary. his fucking friends should've consoled him, then went inside the dungeon without him to encourage this pathetic shit. the writer is a retard. |

| I picked this show up after the first episode because of the lolis but everything else was absolute ass. The animation was subpar with SO many action scenes repeated. There was very minimal progression. Luce used hellfire of destruction 500 times and one extra attack once. Syl learned that ABSURDLY ANNOYING chant spell which was just aids. I muted it every time I saw her get ready to sing. The characters being busty in the LN and flat in the anime was a weird decision, but whatever. This show wasn't even good enough to complain much about MC was an absolute milquetoast sack of junk. Loses his balls in episode 11, too lousy to ask his childhood friend out, etc. He sucks. I expected them to asspull the elixir out of thin air in the end, but oh wowowow we got a healing familiar instead, how convenient. Did I mention this sack of trash MC spent like.. a billion dollars summoning extra summons instead of selling them? I forget how much they actually were exactly, because who really cares, but it "was enough to retire" or something. Dude could've bought a mansion and a Bugatti but chose to summon two lolis and a lil dude. ngl I don't blame him for the first two summons, but he could've had two lolis AND retired? Blud made the wrong decision. anyway, overall this show gets a 3/10. 1.5 points for syl, 1.5 points for Luce. Edit - speaking of how bad this show is... last scene, those two guys brought a wooden sword and a bat to fight a fuckin dragon? c'mon man, what the hell kind of drugs does this Mangaka take |

| Ezra Scarlet has been summoned errrrr not quite, Fairy Queen Titania. Great to see all their hard work paid off and that Hikari is at least well enough for a while and can fight by their sides again. Really enjoyable series, very entertaining and funny at times to go with the seriousness. 8/10 |

| Really liked the first scene with Kaito and Haruka. Seemed like some actually decent development. That said, the rest was mostly underwhelming. Animation was so lacking/bad I didn't recognize Kaito's classmates at first. They showed almost no actual combat and reused even more animations. Trivia-man-Frank said: I don't know why but it feels like in some parts the animation felt off... did anyone else feel like something was just... well, "weird" with the faces? I noticed this as well. Their eyes are too far apart/too low/uneven. The scene about 9 minutes in with everyone talking to Kaito's classmates is a good example. It's very "B-team" and nostalgic of Madoka to me. So the reason we're using to justify the successfully finding a cure despite the odds is...metaphysics? Really? They couldn't have just gone with Kaito's blessing skill or something you want to throw metaphysics into this now? I like that they didn't find the elixir because that would've been way too ridiculous but they arguably found something even more terrifying in the form of the servant who can learn a complete cure-all spell. If they just have to be in the dungeon imagine the demand. Also, they just kidnapped Hikari from the hospital and aside from one doctor no one said anything all the way both to and into the dungeon? Trivia-man-Frank said: Did anyone else get concerned that Snatch was going to get crushed when she went to hug Hikarin? Quite relieving when Snatch stuck its head out between them, phew I noticed that immediately too. I thought they would gloss over that but I was pleasantly surprised when he popped out haha What was with that confession scene? Has there been any inkling at all of Kaito liking Haruka besides an occasional blush (which is expected since she's supposed to be pretty) because I sure didn't notice anything like that, in fact if I recall he acted that way towards Airi as well. Where did this come from? I weep for the source readers because having read only the first chapter of the manga I already know how bad this adaptation was. |

My point was more from the perspective of how in anime the typical 12 episode season structure often doesn't leave enough room for important plot points to get resolved and, well... given that there's little to no chance of season 2, it would've been nice to see the major plot points be resolved so that at a minimum, the story we did get ends with us feeling satisfied, versus "wait, why do I feel like we're still in the middle of something?"

| @Trivia-man-Frank I get what you're saying. They left it open in the way a lot of shows and movies I've watched have in the sense of "there's more to the story, we're leaving it here so we can make more later if we want" kind of thing but I doubt it'll happen. From a writing perspective, it's probably one of the main plot threads the author uses (like finding the one piece). For this reason however, and because there was a significant lack of dramatic tension/buildup in the story in general, it rings as a completely hollow victory to me as well. [Note: this is for the adaptation only. I'm inferring from reading ch1 of the manga and other comments that the source material is much better.] |

Syl talks about scientific things when she herself is supposed to be unscientific... π€£π€£π€£ This series never gets dull.π  But the animation was rather bad for the final episode. They really didn't make any effort to make the last one, a better one, than the rest. π Nonetheless, I really like Haruka's affection towards MC.π And finally, they finally hold hands... OwO Good for Haruka. (I also liked Hikarin) π₯° |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| This show is a little too campy and simple for me; the story itself isn't bad, but the way it plays out, the "animation" lol is not good, and the music is so boring it might as well be AI generated. I'd probably watch a second season if it came around but at least my expectations would be lowered. Glad his friends finally joined the team but they get like 3 seconds of screen time. |
