| Yea so it’s T2 Judgement day, but Japan and a waifu instead of John Connor’s dad lmao. I’m totally ok with that because I loved T2. Also got a little salvation vibe with how the terminator wiped out the resistance group as Eiko was going thru the time travel portal so there’s no home to go back to right now. She has to succeed. All those bad ass kids had to do was stay in the apartment 🤦🏽♂️ got Misaki yelled at and almost got their dad killed. I wasn’t expecting the terminator to get to Malcom so soon, but with 8 episodes they’re putting the pressure on early. Good thing Eiko showed up with the truck which felt like a terminator 3 call back. I like how they’re recycling aspects of the series, but also adding a new spin on it with the AI, the kids playing a bigger role in the series etc. Like they didn’t have the girl keep koneko for nothing.. the kids are somehow gonna use those robots and fight back, aren’t they? I think there’s more to Misaki as well. |

I've never liked this motif because it's hard to make it right, when I think about all these paradoxes I just can't take this plot seriously. James Cameron got praised a lot for that back in the day |

The AI dialogue is so generic and cringe. How the f does Malcolm knows about Skynet, time travel and Judgement Day? and if he does and says they would go after his kids to get to him, why would he not keep them in a secure location, specially on August 29 as that was supposedly when Judgment Days was supposed to happen. Almost all of the characters annoy me, i can't keep watching this. |

| @Ba-Cii10 Time travel either works with closed time loop, where the time travel to the past activates the events of the present, obiously big spoiler example In a way that means whatever you do, doesnt matter. It will always become like the original time line. No changing fate. THe other option would be creating multiple time lines, but as a result several chars have to suffer big sacrifices with bad endings, so you can have ONE time line with a happy ending at the end. But of course this gets complex very fast and logical errors occur. I guess I can spoiler without hiding: e.g. Steins Gate or Back to the Future. You basically have "Throw away" time lines, that give the possibilty to activate certain events, so you can create a "perfect" time line. Fate is changed, but you always can argue that its illlogical. Terminator 1 is basically example 1 (John Connor would have never exiisted without time travel), Terminator 2 and all other movies try the second version, though a certain directition (as implyed in T3) is not avoidable. But that depends on the franchise. |

| Well I've got some development on what Malcom is doing. He's apparently working on an AI to wipe out Skynet for good. The plot's getting interesting but I will say the characters aren't really grabbing me because they just feel generic to me, the kids are quite annoying to me and for what it's worth, it's not the worst I've seen so far. I just wish I had a bit more to say about this episode other than it's still holding my interest. Decent but not gonna set the world on fire at least for me. Still gonna keep going with this. |

| In this episode, the AI is proposing problems and asking questions, it is also just being realistic. In today's political climate, I don't think I can ever be confident that people will make a utopia for the world. There are just too many selfish/dumb/???? people, we're just treading water atm. Just with another world war or two, the world will be just dead. Tensions seem to be heating up right now, social media's fanning the flames what are we to do? Parasite: an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense. I don't think there's a better word to describe humanity's negative impact on the world. The planet itself is bigger than any form of life as without it none of us would exist. Humans dwarf all animal's negative impact on the planet. I gave this show a 7/10, I didn't love it but I'm immovable for this point. We shouldn't be huffing copium and saying everything's alright, at the same time make sure your life is ok. We have a part to play but an average joe can only do so much. Humans are both amazing and terrible, parasitic but full of potential and hanging on a knife's edge yet also on the cusp of everlasting prosperity, It's complicated. If you haven't watched them I recommend the movies: Baraka, Samsara, and Koyaanisqatsi when you feel like having a deep think (these have no dialogue so you can watch them in the background). |

| @Prox1mately The problem with Netflix is that, any English dubs of an anime that had some western input sometimes adds additional dialogues that weren't there in the Japanese version, or sometimes the other way around. As well as sometimes having a different time stamp at when the same amount of dialogues were spoken. The "dublation" is the number 1 problem on Netflix right now and they didn't bother to fix it. There should be another subtitle option for people viewing this with Japanese voices, but they never do. Kinda reminds me of an old French animation show Code Lyoko that used to be on Netflix as well. English dub had way more dialogues than the original French version which had subs show up during silent moments (with just music or characters running etc.). I also noticed this stupid trend in video games too. Too many dublations and totally throws out people who play games with original Japanese voices and the reason isn't even due to parts that were hard to translate like people thought. |

| Ah damn kids. Always giving adults a headache. The nanny isn't doing her job well to guard them. Fortunately, they weren't home as the terminator first went into they're house. Also the nanny isn't to blame for anything. He's so bad for programming Kokoro that now it thinks humanity is all bad and cancer to the planet. Their talks was difficult to watch that I had to skim. Also, if he knows skynet will go after his kids before him first, he should've relocated them in a more secure place and have a group of armed security and not one nanny. Unless she's hiding something. It's also a disadvantage there's little to no access to high powered weapons in Japan. But that might also be a good thing because the machine could get them as well. I also question Eiko's base lack of security. They were able to build a time machine but couldn't build a better detection system against machine intruders. Also what's with that woman saving the little girl by covering her from a machine with a 50bmg rifle that can penetrate through human bodies? She should've quickly grabbed the girl and run as fast as she can or don't save her at all. I kinda predicted that terminator will show when she's in the time machine. Anyway. I'll continue to watch this hoping it gets better. |
| Eiko's resistance camp gets raided by the terminator she fought in the last episode just before she goes back in time. That's crazy. She would've died with the rest if she was a little bit late. Ig since she made it back she can still save the future. But what is it with their being different timelines being created? I thought the Terminator series had only one timeline? I didn't watch anything after 3 so Ig it's probably something new. That robot cat toy is extremely advanced for something that was made in the late 90's. Are you telling me they had AI animals before smartphones? Oh well, they do have murderous robots that can time travel so I guess it's not THAT unreasonable. But still, a mainstream toy? Nah. Eiko goes back in time naked. Don't tell me she actually robbed the couple that was walking past her? Lol. That's one way of skipping over one of the most memorable scenes from the movies. We don't even get to see how the Terminator got its disguise which is weird. There is something wrong with Misaki. Either she's a robot or a hybrid. The subtitles for this are really bad. They're clearly based on the dub script instead of the Japanese dialogue. It feels weird cause the subs don't match what's being said. And it's not just that, the dub seems to have characterized the characters very differently too. Misaki doesn't seem like the type who'd say "fuck off" so casually in a situation like that... It just feels so wrong and dumb. |
| The first two episodes left a very poor impression. Maybe it'll go somewhere, but for an 8-episode series, I really would've liked a stronger hook. It's just a collection of scenes that reminds me of the previous movies. The conversation with Kokoro is the only interesting aspect, and most of that is thanks to the colorful visuals. There are too many unknowns that aren't particularly intriguing and just feel like neglecting the viewer. It doesn't feel like the show "knows what it's doing" and is carefully setting up plot points and characters, but rather bumbling about trying to be "very serious" and talk about "big ideas." None of the characters are particularly interesting, likable or fleshed out in any way. They might as well be mannequins, running from A to B to C. Misaki's the weirdest; not really sure if she's meant to be weird, or if she's just written and animated poorly. The kids are suffering from "dumb kids" syndrome and seem to be unnaturally forced into situations to push the plot forward. The art style isn't very interesting either, or even straight-up slick. The first episode looked good enough to me, but this episode's fight scene on the bridge was very awkward and ugly. I expect a celebrated sci-fi action franchise (and Production I.G.) to at least nail the excitement and the visuals, and all I can say about this show is that they spent some amount of money. |

The kids are annoying AF and eating up a lot of time. The woman from the future is too super-human which is somewhat annoying also. The AI the dad is working on is also annoying for whining about weapons, war, and generally coming off misanthropic. It's starting to feel like it's going to go downhill with all the annoyingness. And I'm somebody who likes the Terminator franchise, even the movies after T2 somewhat. On the bright side the Terminators seem to be done well, although nothing really interesting nor new with them, they're just brute forcing it.

| Koneko and Reika are cute but Kenta and rebel girl are assholes. 6/10 AIBO was released in 1999, as a luxury version of the affordable Furby of 1998. MarsCat claims to be the first robot cat, released in 2022, but is still expensive. The robot pet craze started with Tamagotchi in 1996, but a beeping keychain wouldn't be as interesting. Given the future knowledge, advanced tech, and no Connor, this might be a sequel to Dark Fate. Pops could have contacted and traumatized Malcolm. |
