So that's how she got into her huuuge debt. And Faye was in cryogenical sleep for 54 years so she's actually 77 years old, damn. Hopefully we'll find the reason why in a future episode.

The gags were funny but I really expected a serious backstory (That dude had definitely fallen in love with Faye though).

in my opinion the only good part about this ep were ein's thicccc eyebrows. i think fays backstory was extremely cheesy and the rest just felt really unnecessary

God I love Faye’s backstory. What a fascinating and bitterly tragic character.

"That's not a phone, that's a thermometer" lmao

That was pretty good but the second half felt a little weird having him come back all the sudden and the whole ending. Still liked it ig

learning about faye's (lack of) background was so interesting
the scene where spike leaves the bathroom and tells her to edit her story had me bawling lol

Faye has an intriguing backstory; I wonder whether we'll ever learn more about her life before she was frozen in time.

Sometimes when watching an old show, it doesn't handle issues with gender dynamics very well, Cowboy Bebop is not one of those shows

this show falls to the villain makes best syndrome.

without villain, the show sucks.

faye valentine's backstory sucks.

boring coincidences, meh old hag.

episodes get worse and worse

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

Pretty boring episode. It was interesting to learn about Faye's past, but I didn't particularly enjoy the song that was played in the flashback. This show is getting predictable; it was not too surprising for him to turn out to be a liar about everything. And Jet's sexism is starting to get annoying.

At this point it's just normal that the episodes i remember the least always turn out to be as great as the recalled ones. Not gonna lie, Faye in her calm and peaceful state immediately after the awakening seemed like girl Ranma in her amnesia episode, and by coincidence both have Megumi Hayashibara as the original voice. Too bad life got in her way and she immediately became "normal" Faye. i laughed hard when she broke computers and table that indicated she had even more debts than before after his fake death. And after all... Her past is still a mystery.

Ok, finalmente estoy recuperando la emoción por esta serie. Jupiter Jazz me había desilusionado muchísimo y la dejé por un tiempo, pero ahora que volví estoy contento de sentir que Cowboy Bebop todavía tiene mucho por contar :)

I loved it, 5/5

Nooo... I thought Faye's story would be more serious, I was surprised where her huge debt would come from, I was counting on some drama related to her lost memories and ok, still the mystery of why she was hibernated is incredibly intriguing. Again, I hate all these coincidences, Feya told her story and suddenly a moment later it turned out that Jet caught the wanted man who was the old man who tricked Feye xD Besides the fact that Feye is acting stupid again and instead of trusting her companions after everything they've been through so far, she decides to run away with this fat idiot, instead of saying "oh wait a minute, first I have to squeeze information about my past out of this fat idiot" I don't like it.

### **Cowboy Bebop - Episode 15: "My Funny Valentine"** (My Style Review)

Faye Valentine **finally gets her backstory revealed**, and man, it’s straight-up **brutal**. Imagine waking up in a world where **no one knows you, you have no memories, and the first guy who helps you turns out to be a scammer.** That’s Faye’s life in a nutshell.

Whitney **played her like a fiddle**—acting all sweet and caring, only to drop a **massive debt bomb** on her. Absolute **menace behavior.** πŸ’€ But the crazy part? He wasn’t just *some* scammer, he actually **had some twisted attachment to her.** Not love, not real care—just **that weird con artist charm where he couldn’t let go completely.**

Faye acts like she doesn’t care, but this episode **hits hard**—deep down, she’s **terrified of being alone.** That’s why she’s so **cynical and defensive**—every time she trusted someone, they **screwed her over.**

**Best Parts:**
βœ”οΈ Faye’s **raw emotions**—she plays it cool, but you can see the cracks.
βœ”οΈ Spike and Jet just **chilling while Faye suffers** πŸ’€.
βœ”οΈ The **gut-punch moment** when she realizes **her whole past is wiped out.**

**Final Thoughts:** **This episode proves that Faye is more than just a femme fatale.** She’s a survivor, **just as lost as Spike, but in her own way.**

Ok so Faye's past is that she doesn't have a past kinda. She got frozen, woke up had loads of debt scammed and now she's a bounty hunter with these guys. Faye finally got her backstory episode but it just ok I guess though we still don't know why she got frozen and stuff like who she really is but idk if that matters.

Interesting episode about Faye's past, I never wondered or was interested in her past because I thought it was a simple thing but was way more interesting. She is another victim of the portal incident, as I said that event is so key in this story but she doesn't even who she was, in fact no one knows. What a shock would be being freezed and waked up 54 years later, like the captain america wow. This explains why she talked too much about her debt, I thought her debt was with the mob for being in illegal stuff or something like that but this changes everything. Good to see more about Faye. The next episode will be about Jet, more of his past I guess, will he finally explain what happened to his arm? And Ed past when? Probably never because seems like her past isn't interesting or something but I would like to know more about her.

Episode 100% focused on Faye's past and somehow we ended up learning practically nothing about it. Meh, pointless.
Also, why on earth do Spike and Jet continue to let her stay in their spaceship??
