They are probably testing the waters for a potential remake, Investors will see if this new episode or whatever this is sells well then it's a high chance of a remake. Tokyo ghoul is still relevant to this day, So it has a better chance than most other anime to get a remake.

the art exhibition will be held between 21 October to 1 December in Tokyo and between 14 December to 29 December in Osaka.
In addition, visitors will be given special design goods on a first come first serve basis.
