While Patrick and Yumiela where together in the end and looked like a couple we didn't get a confession part.
But we can always think of it in good faith that they have become a couple.

This anime was pretty nice it was fun to watch especially the reactions of the main staying stoic al the time.
The ways the others reacted to that was nice as well.
I love the relationship between Yumiella and Patrick, is so cute and romantic. Well developed romance.
Prince Edward and Alicia are cute too but seems a bit forced, well. Not judging that, if they are in an otome game. It would be interesting if Prince Edward will end up feeling something for Eleonora, which I doubt.

@Aversa I´m pretty sure what both said in the episode 11 was a confession, with a surprising kiss. And they act like a couple now.
I agree, the anime was entertaining, a fresh feel,I liked all the characters. I hope this will get a second season, if possible.
Poor Eleonora-san,being in love with Prince Edward, for nothing..

Really solid show; the demon lord was very anti-climactic but it's more a macguffin to push the show forward it wasn't really the focal point to begin with.

A pretty good wrap up to a fun isekai. Yumiella Dolkness is such a fun overpowered otome MC. I'd really hope this would get a sequel so we can see more goofiness between her and patrick.

What a pretty good ending to this series ngl but I’ll say the Demon Lord was kinda anticlimactic ngl bro was hyped up for the past episodes just to be beaten so quickly but what did I expect considering this show has an OP ass MC💀💀💀

Apparently this story is still ongoing in the light novels so that’s pretty interesting to hear bc I wonder where the author is taking this storyline considering the demon lord has been beaten, maybe we can focus more on Yumiella and Patrick👀

I’m sorry even though I enjoyed this show a lot I can’t help it but I gotta say this………GODDAMN WAS THE CGI DRAGON AND SKELETONS WERE SO FUCKING ASS CHEEKS BRO like why did the studio even do that instead of making them 2D yk?😭😭😭😭

Wish we got more of Eleonora considering the ed was all about her which is sad bc I wanted to see more of her she’s so happy go lucky but other than that this was a fun stupid Isekai about an overpowered otome “villainess” show, Fairouz Ai was the perfect VA for Yumiella hoping season 2 gets announced with better animation🙌🏽🔥

Critical rating I’d give this a 7/10 but im rating this an 8️⃣/🔟 based off my enjoyment🤪

Satisfying conclusion to this anime adaptation. I think the story will continue involving issues about the rival kingdoms around Valscheim, like the one who tried to poach her a couple of episodes ago. Valscheim was founded with a dark past (as the demon lord narrated) and so some countries around them are probably not in favor of the prestige the Valscheim kingdom garnered after defeating the demon lord in the past.
Anyway, you can all follow the story further either by reading the source LN or the manga adaptation; however, the manga adaptation has already been overtaken by the anime so it will take a while for the story to really continue and in my opinion, the anime adaptation was presented better, well at least that part in episode 1 where it made viewers believe that Alicia is the MC.
Overall, this is one of the best 'akuyaku reijou' fantasy I've come across. There are still many like this coming soon in anime form and a lot of them still in manga form as well so look forward to other coming in.

Well, as I predicted, I actively disliked the ending after their introduction of the gameplay element which robbed Alicia of her nuance and made her stay a “good” character, thus erasing all of the discussion of discrimination and bigotry. The whole power of love at the end skewed the show much younger than it should have been. Having Alicia stab her at the end also erased the stakes in the demon lord battle and made Y & DL’s convos lack meaning and impact. I just lowered my score for the entire show. This is one of the biggest ending disappointments to me in a long time.

this left a really bad taste in my mouth. the show was fun up until the most rushed ending ive ever seen.
the show was funny, i wasnt bored at any point and i didnt hate any character but the ending being so rushed just destroyed my opinion of the show. its like they did 10 episodes and then realized "oh shit its the 10th ep and we need to somehow end the story".

i liked the mc.

the perks of using opening song as a background music for main fight in final episode is nothing new, but since it's using the 'fake" opening song was kinda interesting, despite how they concluded the fight. oh and if anyone want to know the song, it's Ray of Light from hanatan. can check it out also.

So I guess the game plot driving the scenario is just going to be written off as a MacGuffin, huh.

I'm glad we got some Yumiella x Patrick at the end. It's a nice way to end off the series.

A nice series to kill time, with the OP song by Mayu Maeshima now in my everyday playlist.

Pretty run of the mill finale. As expected, the others are useless against the demon lord but Yumiella saves the day and one shots him...

It was a fine show overall but nothing really remarkable about it: 6/10.

I'm so disappointed with how this show ended up running. The middle felt so slow and now the last two episodes were so rushed. There weren't any major consequences from any of the conflicts that were building up over the season. It absolutely killed the charm the show had. If they were able to add a few more episodes to this show I think it would have been so much better.

LOL @ Yumi asking who Alicia likes the most, HAHAHAHAHA

Their expressions are priceless, Alicia was pretty much Pokerfaced thinking... "um...."

.

Huh... so the Demon Lord used to be Human, and the actual "baddies" were the Humans... since they're the one that created the Demon Lord...

Also, He looks more like a Dark Knight than a Demon Lord with that armor and.... whips... lol

.

Also, Yumi would actually exile herself to make others happy... that's not a good thing Yumi... that's kinda stupid...

.

And Alicia was getting "Game plotted" by "Fate" (Final Fantasy whispers) to kill Yumi...

LOL @ Yumi talking in a monotoned narrator voice. And ED confesses to Alicia... "Happy End" hmm....

I guess no one really got hurt except for the Demon Lord.

oof Alicia. Patrick nice amulet save.
lol Dorkness' silly acting to force the power of love route.
Fights been really budget, but these oddball characters kept things fun. More drama threads or events outside game plot might've improved pacing.

Was a good adaptation up until the last 1/4 of the season, when they decided to change up the plot of the ending with the "course correction due to game scenario" random bs from some similar stories with reincarnation into a game world/world similar to game. While the general outcome remains the same, some details are different from the light novel. Besides, the new plot makes no sense so its not like using the "course-correction" bs makes the plot better.

Red-hair and blue-hair just did a complete 180 in their attitude towards Yumiella for no reason at all. Same as the heroine who simply stopped seeing Yumiella as a dark shadow-thing and consequently being unafraid of her. I would assume that the red-hair and blue-hair guys would accuse Yumiella of kidnapping the heroine back in episode 10 instead of just straight up thanking her based on their attitude towards her until then.

The VA for Yumiella is great, helped gave me the motivation to return to reading the LN by reading her lines while imagining them in the VA's voice, after previously dropping it midway through the first volume.

I was actually spoiled about the backstabbing and it sounded really cool in the source, so I was pretty excited the entire episode only for it to be so pointless in this show.. Didnt they lose against the demon lord because yumiella got stabbed in the source?

Somehow this anime manages to have no intensity at all, no matter what it does.
"Oh the named characters are assholes towards the MC" just ignore them and they become friendly.
"Oh the MC gets literally stabbed in the back" just ignore it and it will be fine.
I dont want to call it boring, because chill shows do exist, but this setting does not really give me chill vibes.

Some parts were decent and I thought "just maybe the villainess wont be incredibly nice and apologetic to everyone who is mobbing her", but nope!

Why have the 3 boys act like massive assheads only for them to apologize once and act all friendly? Its frustrating, there is no payoff.

Even the romance had no intensity at all and just felt forced because it needed to happen to tick off a checkbox.

This was the lamest anime I have seen in a long time, but I still finished it because I thought maybe the end would be a little .. more. It was not, if anything it was even less. 5/10
But really this was shit without any reason to, it had potential. I dont see what people like about this, comedy is subjective but really, everything else was soo lame.

The weirdest part is they did not even rush the ending, AFAIK the LN jumps to the fight just as much. How does this story go on for 5 more volumes? Its beyond me.

PS: This was my first time watching an Otome show and if I had not picked up "in love with the villainess" halfway through I would probably never touch this genre again.

@Comander-07 In the LN, they didn't lose to the demon lord but yes Yumiella got stabbed before the fight and it changed the entire fight completely and robbed it of the intensity it had. Also, the apologies in the anime were weird and forced with a lot of handwaving away. They don't even exist in the LN and lead to a bunch of important things later (kingdom instability). I guess they decided to drop all of that to change the meaning of the anime because they weren't doing the other LNs...so it's now Yumellia and the power of friendship ended discrimination. It ended up being lame...what it was in the source made a lot more sense. Since they decided to hand wave the main themes away it ended up with everything seeming rushed and dropped when they weren't actually mean to be so. I agree the ending was horrible. I dropped my score from the moment they decided to do Alicia and Yumiella in the dungeon and I could see the start of their handwaving. The adaption absolutely ruined all of the good that people like you and me saw at the start.

That makes a lot of sense, I could tell that the writing was disjointed in a lot of places. I've read up on the differences between the anime and LN since and...I'm kinda conflicted. I wonder if the anime studio decided to do these changes on their own and if the author of the LN had commented on the adaptation at all. Honestly, I'm not sure I want another story where the heroine/mc/protag of the game turns out to be evil, just to act as a villain for the villainess. It would destroy the entire premise of the game, so I'm somewhat glad for the changes, but obviously it also created issues elsewhere.

The ending is definitely not satisfying, but I didn't expect any grand resolution or epic fight with the demon lord to begin with. If you were expecting that based on the previous 11 eps...well, maybe you are new to anime?

I think overall Yumiella saved the show for me.

I must say, I am a little disappointed with the deviation from the LN. I felt that they cheapened the story somewhat to try and make characters more likeable and give a happy ending in place of the more real complexity that was given in the LN.

The whole subplot of conflicting pride, fear and prejudice that Yumiella has to face when interacting with others and seeing characters grow and acknowledge their faults, or at least learning to admit they were wrong, was something I liked in the LN.

Patrick is still best boy though. I also loved the Yumiella monotone narration forcing the other characters to act out that tropey scene

While I liked the concept of Alicia betraying Yumiella due to game plot forcing her to be In Character instead of just being evil without an actual reason, I think this was poorly made. The whole last boss fight had no soul and there wasn't a really intense moment to care about the prince wakening her up with the power of love.
@NoahEbalon Yeah, they deviated from the LN here and it made it feel a little cheap to me. The LN version was a lot darker and not entirely happy ending, but it gave the story more depth. The last boss fight didn't have much soul in the LN tbh, but the reveal about how the demon lord came to be felt like it had more wight in the LN

The scene with Alicia being commanded really surprised me, I liked the end of Patrick hugging her and them getting together, I would really like a real kiss between the two of them, but the focus of the anime isn't that, so I can't expect much, but it was cool follow here! If there is a second season I will watch it!

It's been a while since I've loved an anime this much. This was so good. It's nice to see a fairly straightforward, no-nonsense story for once with no bait moments or the like. Literally the only bad things were the awful CGI and not as much Eleanore as I was hoping. I can see why some are unsatisfied with the ending, because the main baddie the Demon Lord ended up being a bit "meh", but for me it doesn't affect my overall opinion of the show.

I don't know anything about the light novel but I hope it doesn't just end here. If it does continue, I hope there will be a season 2 adaptation as well. I will probably watch this again every once in a while.

the anime have the vibe from the eminence in shadow but with the mc spill the bean rather than to keep it a secret. also she didn't even try as if she's struggle. the way how she holding back is 0/10 score from me. I just up to tourament arc but I don't expect she's going to struggle-ish like the way how cid did.
I remember cid changed his appearance to somebody super weak he did manage to match himself as strong as that girl but in the end he won despite his power is 1 million times her strength. but he still make his power on equal to her strength.

this anime can totally wins my heart if they do a little intense. I'm currently up to episode 11 and tbh if they didn't add the assassination attempt then I would have just go 10/10 score for this anime but because they decided to add it and I saw it's BS. So, drop 2 scores. so far I minus 3 scores from this anime. I was expect something like torture or interrogation to make more sense to the assassination arc. But no such thing is torture or interrogation here. when he ask who if she had any idea who's behind the assassin attempt she do not know. If it was me or Shadow Garden or Arifureta. I'm going to torture them to death and break their leg and hit in the face and repeat "talk" until they give the information. at least, I want to know who's behind it or who's ordered or hired the assassin. But NO! and no such thing. sad. 7/10

edited: despite everything is going well and I can see desired result but still in Cid case I see he beat the hell out of the villain. because of that I was so satifying. Here this anime is just so light and merciful. I was so unsatified with it.
I mean if you caught someone who's trying to assassinate you. do you show mercy and let he get away with it and give it authority. Because for me it's a hell know. because in that case I almost just die and no way in hell I'll just give them to authority. I would just beat the sht out of them and make them talk. In real life, US citizen is not even hestitate to shoot. I saw it in the news a hero just shot the bad guy to protect those around them otherwise there will be more death.

So in the end only Yumiella was strong enough to beat the demon lord. I was worried for Yumiella after the fight with the demon king ended since there was an external factor that forces the timeline to stick to the game's plot, and it really did happen as the game forced Alicia to kill her. That last bit where it led to the Prince's confession was funny lmao.

Yumiella's lack of common sense was annoying at times, but the show was quite an enjoyable one. 7/10

A good run for an upbeat, good-natured isekai. Exactly what I was hoping for and exactly what we got.

It was not the highest tier that you can reach by a measure of production. But, outside the meme dragon boi.

Who's comically overset CGI became almost endearing towards the end.

Its lowered animation at times didn't really matter overall. I still smiled multiple times through its run.
Much more so than competing shows during its season.

It did take me a fair bit to finish up episode 12.

Overall tho it was worth it to see the great Dolkness ship.

With her fantastically written personality.

Always a joy in just the right moments.

That monotone speech by Yumiella was great. Overall anime was ok. Heavily carried by a very lovable main character. The story had a lot of opportunities to be longer with a more in depth story and characterization but every conflict got resolved too quickly that it skipped all those chances. Otherwise i think the story could had been a lot better. And it's a shame since I think most of the characters were good and would really likd to see them in a more fleshed out world and story along with greater personality depth. Seems like Yumiella's character potential was wasted by having such a simplistic story.

I quite enjoyed the show. The biggest surprise was just how funny the show was. I also liked the game background being ever present and how it impacted the ending.

I liked the slow build up with Patrick and Yumiella but was a bit disappointed how it sort of amounted to little in the last episodes. I guess it was rushed to fit the plot? It just felt like there was no impact.

I also was surprised that Eleanora had so little time in the show. The ending song made it look like she was going to be more important.

In term of otome/villainess shows, I guess I'd say:

7th Time Loop > Raeliana > Taming the Final Boss ~= Villainess Level 99 > Bakarina > Doctor Elise

One thing I really appreciate about this show was all the mologues by Yumiella. It was fun to see her thought process.

I suppose with the way it ended (and
), we won't get a season 2. A bit of a shame, I would be curious to see where this goes.
