I am throwing this question out there, to really see how everyone else does their anime binge watching habits. So far in my notes section of my phone I have twenty animes that I am watching, plan on watching soon, and ones saved for the future. I break them down into how many episodes for the anime I want to watch in a day, that way I am not overdoing it on one particular, unless it is a one season twelve episodes binge which is rare at points. Example:
Oshi no Ko is 3 episodes a day
Overtake is 3 day
Sidonia 3 a day (movies included)
Komi 3 d day

I did binge watch Yuri is my job one night out of curiosity and to get it out of the way one time. It got an 8 out of ten for me.

I look at my watching list, and spin the wheel, which is why some anime like Attack No.1 have been sitting at the same episode for a good while. As for stuff I'll watch next, I just let whatever the last person told me to watch take priority. So basically, Mankatsu and Card Captor Sakura are next, literally just because people told me to. Sometimes I also just think "Maybe I'll take something off my on-holds.", and pick a random one to put back on my watching.

That's the neat part, I don't!

Sometimes I finish 1 or 2 series in a day, sometimes I don't watch anime for a couple of days, sometimes I'll watch just an episode, sometimes I'll binge a k-drama instead, it is a roulette.

Rather extensively.

That doesn't have the dates I plan to watch everything by, though. For that I have a Google Calendar and also a spreadsheet.

The long and short of it is:

1-10 Seasonals (daily, depending on what's on that day)
6-8 episodes of whatever older show I'm currently watching

I don't really plan anything I just pick something and go with it. I usually watch mutiple seasonals at one time and then add in a few finished airing ones to watch one at a time once I am caught up with the seasonals that are currently airing. Some I also just watch in chunks and wait for mutiple episodes to get released and watch them then. As for what to watch next i just watch the higher priority stuff on my list first. Or if I feel like clearing off my PTW list some I will watch some lower priority things and either complete or drop them.

I choose what I want to watch based on what I feel like watching at the moment. I usually watch all seasons, OVAs, movies, etc, back to back for shorter anime.

@EpicO4 I did that in the beginning when the Covid lock-down had happened. I finished all of Wake Up Girls extensively and binged series after series, however I felt burnout after doing so and i decided to change it up to my current format.

I don't plan it. Probably just check my PTW list when I feel like watching anime and choose one that would fit my mood the most at that moment, how many episodes I feel like at that time.

@GalacticWeiss12 I'll take a break from a series if I am experiencing burnout, but it rarely happens to me when I watch shorter anime.

I just pick randomly on my list whether it's on my On-Hold or Watching, or I randomly find something new. Sometimes I'm able to finish a 12-ep anime in 1 day, depends if I like it or not. Then I'd watch some airing anime at random since the eps are still incomplete.. And sometimes I rewatch my personal faves that I haven't watched in like 8 years :D

I wait for the entire season to be completed to binge it in one go. Your experience and overall opinion of the series can become easily skewed otherwise.
(example, reading one chapter a week in a book as opposed to every chance you get will yield a schism in the audience)

Out of that list, I pick the one's I'm most interested in first. Usually going with the one's I prefer in dub first as well.

Watching section is for one's I started and got sidetracked & Plan To Watch section is self explanatory.

I watch chronologically if I start watching after the whole thing has completed; the only time I'll follow release dates is when the show is massively designed to watch in release order, meaning that it wasn't intended to watch chronologically.

Some series I skip prequels released later that are considered additional content just for fans - example: Re:Zero prequel.

The only anime in my On-Hold section is One Piece; once it reaches it's end, I'll restart watching it.

When picking anime I'll just plan a short queue for a few anime a wanna watch. For example right now I'm watching Cowboy Bebop, after I finish that I'll watch Samurai Champloo, then Gurren Lagann, Dororo, Evangelion, then Death Note. But I wont stick to the order heavily and just watch what looks more interesting. I'm not much of a binge watcher. I just watch anime when I want to. Sometimes I'll get super interested and can't wait for the next episode and I'll start binging but for the most part I take a slow pace.

I randomly pick up an anime I've started and stick to watching a total of 4 episodes per day overall and I do it while I eat (breakfast/lunch/snack/dinner) so I don't have to make extra time for anime.

I'm the weird one out here. I watch through my anime in the order I added them! So it's a "first in, first out" kinda thing.

I also only ever watch one (usually old) series/show at a time. I like it when I watch through the whole series and take the story in one gulp. My standard rate is three episodes a day but there are some outliers (either the show is really good and I watch the entire season or I take days to watch an episode because I'm busy).

I also prefer it when the series is "complete." This means if I ever do reach an anime that was on my queue but then is either rumored or confirmed to have a sequel, it gets moved way back in the queue. The biggest disadvantage is that I am at least five years too late to the waifu/fan train...

Needless to say, this system means that I have my own "seasonals" planned out at least two years ahead!

I usually only watch one show/season at a time. My formula is to watch one episode of something live-action, one episode of a non-anime cartoon, and then one episode of an anime, with a few movies and Youtube videos mixed in. Its rare that I binge watch anything. For me, it gives me a nice structure and makes sure I don't get burnout.

for me lets say 12 episodes can be finished in about 4-6 days per show. 3-4 per normal day. 1-2 if busy

sometimes i planned how i'm gonna watch my anime watchlist, if i know the source (Manga/Light Novel) i'm gonna wait until some arc finished, then i started to watch it, and then wait again until the new arc is finished. if there's no arc in the anime, i'm gonna wait until it finished.

I'm looking at the total number of episodes and then I'll divide it by 2 - 4. It's easier to remember which episode was the last one without having to look up on MAL if I do it like that. Most of the time I'll end up with 4 - 6 episodes a day (depends on if seasonals are included).

I don't really like making plans. I just pick an anime at random, drag a folder containing a full season into mpv, then watch as many as I feel like. I don't shut down my PC when I go sleep, so the next day I just resume if I want to. Sometimes I have multiple mpv windows open, each with a different anime series. If I don't feel like watching one show, I just watch another that's open.

"How do you plan out your Anime watching?"

Go to my profile and see 'My schedule' there.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

I just watch whatever I'm in the mood for. No need for a plan. Something like that makes it feel too much like something I "have" to do, rather than something I "want" to do.

I always binge watch a series all episodes and don't look for another anime to watch, unless it's the seasonal ones and airing that day.

I usually plan out a month at a time, roughly 8eps per day of non-seasonal shows along with the usual daily seasonals. Sometimes it's just trying to get stuff off my PTW, while other times I theme the month around something (January I did anime that aired 2000-2009, this month I'm doing Sci-fi/Space anime, etc).

For example, this is my schedule this month:

I watch a lot of anime, so I always plan months out to fit everything in concisely.

More or less the same here as I do a mix of daily and binge when it comes to seasonal stiff so I don't fall too behind. For PTW, it's just whenever I feel like it and have time or so.

I've got multiple shows going and rotate them between seasons. For weekly anime a season is either how long the opening title stays or how the streaming service broke it up. After a season I watch a movie and then go to the season of next show.

I have a million in the backlog and I go by them by number of episodes. Although I will usually watch a long running anime and chip away at it with a few episodes every day. If an anime on the backlog has a new season coming up I’ll bump it up and watch it sooner than I would have otherwise. I don’t usually watch more than two backlog anime at a time so I can actually get through them and the seasonal anime I watch as well. It mostly works out but if I’m watching too much seasonal anime it becomes more of a problem.

I generally have a rough idea of what I want to watch so I just download the anime on my laptop. And I generally like to finish a show before beginning another one.
Watching one show at a time usually has a far greater emotional impact on me

Depends on my mood at that time to be honest. Even if I know that anime is good, if I don't have the mood to watch it I will not.

I try to watch one per app. On Crunchyroll I watch 2 episodes per day. On Netflix I watch when I feel like watching an anime from there.
I'm also keeping up with the weekly releases of Delicious in Dungeon, but I keep forgetting it... like this week... haven't watched that yet.

Since joining MAL, I like to scout out an entry I like the look of and usually plan a sit down to marathon a bunch of episodes. With shorter modern runs I will sometimes just watch a series over a weekend, whereas longer episode counts of older shows I will parse out over several weeks or even months, which depends on the amount of available free time I devote to viewing anime.
