| such a good episode. really did it's job of pissing me off with the actions of humans. very much looking forward to adonis getting revenge and killing all the people who hurt, humiliated, and killed chloe. doroka is really badass too. im looking forward to seeing them interact with eachother. |

| I liked his Jedi master! But the way god emperor killed her was a bit stupid, a ruler would not lift a finger in such a brutal manner to do the work of killing her so that was unrealistic 🤷♂️ Overall, I like the vibe of Doroka :) |
| Well, the first episode quickly set the tone, didn't it? Pretty ridiculous try-hardy to get you to care and all emotional, cause there was fuck all set up. If this happened in the 4th or 5th episode, then maybe I would have felt something. Cool distorted and angry faces though, I can see this show having amazing intense moments if executed well from now on. |
| Such a surprise going into this one blind. I am a sucker for dark anime. It also somehow feels old school, maybe it was the art style... but I loved it. My favorite of the season so far. |

| After the first episode I got curious and have endured the whole manga until ongoing. It's probably one of the most apalling and comically terrible pieces of media I ever consumed. It feels like satire that solely exists to be as edgy and excessive as possible and make you feel terrible if you manage to attach yourself emotionally to any of characters. It's pure revenge gore porn and with amount of censorship present in anime, gonna lose like 70% of it's appeal. |

| Very rarely do I feel any strong emotions towards any shows I watch, be it Anime or not. But that 'execution' scene just had my heart pounding so hard, wanting the male MC to shred that a**hole to pieces. But alas, a story must be told, and I must wait for that sweet revenge ... they better make darn sure it's gonna be a very satisfying payback. Side note: I feel like the cover art/key visual doesn't do the Anime justice. The animation looked quite good on the show but the poster made it seem like low quality. |

| Just read 20 chapters of this manga. This is probably one of the most vile manga I've read in a bad way. It's not even entertaining like redo of the healer was. It actually tries to be serious. Disgusting. |
| Something wasn't sitting right with that execution so, I jumped to manga. And my fears were justified. Censorship... WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? BOTH GORE AND NUDITY! I guess this is going to be Kingdom type adaptation. Just great! This is why I hate modern anime. No fucking BALLS at all! |
| Is this supposed to be comedy? There is no world build or exploration for the conflict beyond humans are natually evil. The scene with the girl being humiliated and killed was probably the most laughable attempt at creating sympathy for a character I've ever seen. This was surely written by a 14 year old going through his edgy phase |
| Even though I really love revenge stories, many of them are messed up. While Western Media usually mistakes Revenge for Romance, Anime tends to rather be over-the-top edgy and/or pseudo-deep, like 91 Days. Just my experience, of course. The trailer of this show reminded me of these stories, so it ended up at the bottom of my most-anticipated shows list for the season. But, at least for now, I was wrong. The whole segment around Chloe was amazing. I love how natural, yet terrifyingly evil the humans of the Empire are. The clash between Chloe's and Adonis' personalities was also really well executed. And it just felt really clean and thought-out overall. I do wish I knew more about the Witch Hunt and the past of the world and it's characters, but that's probably saved for later. As for the prison break, I'm once again a huge fan of the character's writing. Dorona seems like a very interesting character. I like those who value harmony, yet aren't naive and stupid. She seems to have quite a talent for impersonation too! The only thing I fear is that it might have misplaced comedy. But while I could've done without it already, it wasn't a problem in this episode. Let's hope it won't let me down after getting my hopes up! |

| Do not care for theme much. But animation feels off and OP foreshadowing future fights felt cringe to watch. And ofc prison director has the most cringe generic gay design. |
| I thought that this 1st episode was pretty good even though we lost Chloe so fast. The emperor is probably being manipulated in eradicating the witches which makes no sense since they have been helping humans from the beginning. At least it looks like Doroka, whom I'm assuming is a human, should stick around and possibly assist Adonis in seeking revenge and presumably getting to the bottom of what the hell is going on. |

| This is really interesting, and it's been a while since I've genuinely been angry with a character. If the story allows for it, I hope this is pure, balls to the walls edge, and that Adonis gets his revenge tenfold. I was genuinely angry and slightly fearful when the king exposed Chloe's chest, and I really felt Adonis' anger and hopelessness. However, given the situation and that they had no way out after all magic was nullified, I do think Chloe's death was the better alternative, both for her and Adonis, compared to what could have happened. The way she died was brutal though. |
