Having this information makes me appreciate the way White Fox handled this IP in anime form, though. although it is worth noting that the other romance endings aren't even bad. and the one the anime adapts is the true route. the suzuha one is the biggest punch in the face, cause it is the best one, but also, it's not a finished story. without spoiling too much, her route ends with them "starting a mission" of sorts, that we will never see. which is fucked. why would you do that? it's still great, but that is fucked!!! I think the only people who claim the VN is the better, are either hardcore Sci-adv fans (which is a vn series that all take place in the same universe of steins;gate. which means SG is technically a part of a much much bigger story involving hundreds of hours of story and multiple casts and story that all take place during different time periods. think fate if the watch order made sense.) or are the people who think more = better. which I kinda get. the vn does have some great moments that are not in the anime, but I think it also has far more missteps. the anime is kinda most of the best parts in the vn, that has a larger soundtrack, and by the nature of it being an anime is just more high quality in terms of visuals. specially with how good the directing is, which sadly wasn't the case for 0. |

| To love ru and Dxd are the face of the genre Nisekoi was genre defining at one point and influenced a whole set of modern romance, surprisingly it influenced harem and non harem romcoms equal amounts but i kinda believe "pinnacle" of the genre is Grisaia. |

To-Love Ru is amazing, every girl is incredible and it served as the mascot of our club for a damn long time due to it's impact and just how damn good it is overall. Probably still the most recommended show within our club. An argument can be made for why every girl is best girl pretty much, and that is what you want with a harem. There's no real favouritism either, feel like a lot of the girls are equal, especially come TLR Darkness. But my favourite all time, both anime and manga tbh has to be Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs. It has the exact same feelings for me with TLR, regarding the girls and just how damn good it is. I prefer most of the girls from Yuuna though and the underlying plot is nice, though nothing wrong with episodic ecchi, they're great too. And I know the main reason for a harem isn't the dude, but personally, damn does it suck to watch a dude who is a fucking ass get all these great girls that you like in a show and he just doesn't deserve it. Kogarashi is actually a good MC, and it's not my main point for picking Yuuna over TLR but it definitely helps being able to like how the relationships in the show develop instead of hating the MC the entire time. Also anyone that says something like Redo Of Healer is stupid 🙏 |
