| At first I felt like they kinda ruined the whole moment with the flashbacks, but at the same time I love how the anime handle the whole situation, and this backstory is a nice addition to the story, so in the end it isn't a bad thing to me. Either way, I love how the love triangle is handled in the story, it's easy to relate to each one of them, so you can't help but love all the characters, there are simply no wrong or right choices in this situation, it's a grey territory where even if everyone is responsible in their own way, nobody is actually guilty, they're all just miserable in the end, it's truly tragic. |

| I get where Kitahara is coming from to some extent about not understanding Touma's tsundere signs (even if they were kinda obvious in this case) but there's no defense for making all those promises so quickly to Setsuna. One of the love triangle's corners getting brutally cut off is inevitable now. |

| So, Kazusa Touma's past was shown. Now it became clearer who she is and her motives and also why she fell in love with Kitahara. Apparently she was lonely all the time, because her mother did not pay attention to her and at school she was too high-level compared to everyone else (in terms of wealth and talent) and too much on her own wave, so she didnt have friends. And then Kitahara appeared and he didnt look at the fact that she was a hooligan or that she was famous and talented, but simply communicated with her as an ordinary classmate. I think thats why she fell in love with Kitahara. I like her communication with him, its very funny, they are so different. But still, i like Setsuna and i feel bad for her. She did nothing wrong. I think the main villain of the anime is still Kitahara. He could have noticed Touma's feelings earlier and not fooled Setsuna. But he was too lazy or too stupid to notice them and now he created this love triangle. I like Touma too, but i still on Setsuna's side. I think she is more vulnerable and weak and it will be harder for her to survive a breakup or betrayal. And yes, Touma is also really weak and vulnerable, but she is still more used to loneliness and she is a genius and geniuses are always alone. Ill say it again - this is amazing anime and its very interesting to discuss. Thats what a good romantic anime should be. And also its the aesthetics of the direction, voice acting, music etc (White Album 2 is bad in terms of visuals - like the first part, but this is compensated by other aspects of this anime, including visual aspects - like the aesthetic camera angles, general plans (city, sky, trees) and other aspects - like music, voice acting, story, characters etc) |
