| So Alita wakes up after falling through a hole in the roof while doing a bounty hunt. She fought a werewolf, that wasn't much of a challenge. Upon waking up, she is greeted by a young boy named Yugo. At first he seems to be a decent kid and even tries to protect Alita when the werewolf comes back to continue fighting her. He show a bit of greediness when he attempts to remove the spine from one of the dead cyborgs that the werewolf had killed while transforming. Alita calls him out for being a thief, but doesn't stop him in the end since the werewolf returns. Yugo defends Alita and tries to help her escape, Alita blushes and pretends to be scared while secretly delivering lethal kicks to the werewolf as it attempts to attack them. The werewolf is essentially done for, but Yugo bashes its head in with a pipe and is surprised by how easy he did that. Afterward, they say their goodbyes and Alita wonders if she'll see him again. Later on, two masked individuals are offering a tune-up service to an android, who agrees. Instead, the two people zap the android to paralyze it and steal its spine. At the end it's revealed that Yugo was the spine thief after he calls Ido to go help the android they dismantled. He's got a conflicting personality. Seems to be a decent kid, but does bad things for financial gain to survive. Seems to want more in life, but is stuck to his ways. I wonder if Alita will have to go after him and that's when she'll see him again. |
| That werewolf was weird, surely in the future we'll have drugs that'll turn us into warewolves lol. I liked Yugo at the beginning of the chapter, but not so much at the end. I get he's doing it to survive and atleast he's not "killing" them. And it's kinda scary how easily they can take someone's spine! I wonder what happens to those cyborgs if their spine gets taken. 4/5 |
