| I would pick K-On if I had to chose 1. They are definitely not as vocal as what they used to be though. It always had a real sense of elitism. Edit: Currently it is One Piece by far, and I like One Piece. |

| I see a lot of people bring up One Piece, and I have a question regarding it: Why do so many One Piece fans legitimately believe One Piece is the greatest story ever told? I see this statement in the One Piece fandom more than any other mainstream popular anime/manga. I love One Piece and I rate it 8/10, but it baffles me how so many people think it is the GREATEST STORY when there is so much more out there. One Piece isn't even the best shonen lmao |

| I think long-running franchises have the worst fanbases. Fans who love something enough to spend 100 hours on something are the least likely to be tolerant. I recently encountered a Science Adventure fan and an Index fan who both dismissed my opinions and said I read the source material the wrong way. Basically, I have a problem with hive minds. | r/piratefolk should not have any association to One Piece and shouldn't be used as a metric to judge One Piece fans. That said, we are one of the worst fanbases for the most part. From the Oda dick riders(me included), to the weekly pacing complainers, to the insert "big event that hasn't been adapted in the anime yet" complainers, to the Zoro nerds, to the nostalgia merchants, etc. |
