| Leticia being ambushed by an unknown assassin wearing a holy robe, and Irgitte has already gone insane against the same man, which the former made sure that Damian Rue's plan does not go their way. The lord's mansion isn't making it safe for Orphen, Winona and Lottecia, as both Seek and Kakorkist seek to eliminate the lord's people. And as Irgitte awaits her death, her message to Orphen is one that he can't afford to ignore, regarding the reunion of his family. The proven discourse that the lord if the Imminent Domain is already dead from someone well-versed in the martial arts and seeking a resolution to know of Claiomh and Majic's fate, Orphen's fight against Jack Frisbee will be important. And as Leticia escapes from Damian with assistance from the Chaos Witch, Corgon being arrested by the person that he thought that is the Weird Dragon Nornir, it's a fake. Turns out, the lord isn't dead, and both Claiomh and Majic are fine. And wolves in the vicinity? That's a cause for concern. |

And that's a wrap for volume 17! Now it's volume 18 which has 186 pages. They'll probably rush this one into 2 episodes so book 19 can have 3 episodes and book 20, 4, or they'll rush book 19 to 2 episodes and book 20 will have 20, I dunno what's in their heads, this arc needed 24 episodes for it to no be so rushed. |

| Its surprising that t he girls get all the invincibility plot devices in this anime, Lottecia with the sentient sword and Claiomh with Leki, nice. Dont know how Orphen can fight on a level playing field this arc unless the gun is incredibly awesome. |

So yeah, they have this help from a device/familiar but I think there's more to it, like, the plot itself likes to "kill" Cleao just to "revive" her later on, even without Leki (no, this is not a spoiler, it's from novel 3 which didn't get an anime): Cleao "died" just to be controlled by a ghost-like entity and it was before Leki, she wasn't dead, logically, but the story made it look like that way. |
